You do not have to get in a car to enjoy onsite spa, swimming, lively evenings, including a movie theatre on premises, a take long walk or run in safe Forest Park with its awesome museums, gardens, ponds, zoo, and amateur sports fields. Hotel was very nice and location is very convenient. Personnel were very helpful and professional. Room did show some signs of wear and bathroom fixtures (towel holders) should have been cleaner. Given how nice everything else is this did stick out. However, this would not stop us from staying here again.

We were overjoyed. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or more friendly, the beds were super comfortable with delicious cotton sheets, there were plenty of towels, the windows open (!), and the public areas are sumptuous. Definitely would stay there again.

At check in I asked for a high floor, however the front desk person politely ignored my request and "upgraded" us to a junior sweet with an extremely small window facing the top of the garage on the 3rd floor. A beautiful, old, and classy hotel!! A theater, huge fitness center, 3 restaurants, and other services we did not use. Wonderful location ! The only negative was they charged for wi-fi. I thought that demeaned them as even Best Western offers that service for free!

My husband and I were very comfortable in our rooms. The suite offered comfort and pleasant decor. I have extreme spine pain and I always take a special mattress topper when I am away from home but didn't have to use it. The mattress already had a very comfortable topper. I was not feeling well and my husband went looking for a sprite and the front desk went out of their way to find something for him. They could've easily told him to go to the convenience store nearby but instead they made sure they took care if it. It's rare to find that kind of service anymore. It was an excellent place to stay.

A very nice Hotel. Great Resturants Shops in and around the Hotel. And the Theater also was very nice and even cheaper than the megaplexs around our house. The decor was very upscale. Staff very helpful and accomidating. They upgraded our room and we got free wifi no charge.

Our accommodations were not what we reserved. We reserved a room with a king bed for two nights (available when we made the reservation). Upon arrival we were given a room with two full beds. When questioned we were told there was an influx of guests that came in that day and they requested these types of rooms. So, based on that, I guess reservations […] are not for specific accommodations just for whatever room they want to set you up in. Parking was also a concern. There is a lot for guests and the public so you can self park. Just keep in mind, if the hotel has an event going on the lot will be full and you will be forced to valet park for a higher rate. Don't expect the valets to answer the phone so you can have your car ready, we called three times with no answer. When we went down to get the car the valets were all outside talking. Room service was a bit slow, it took three hours and four phone calls to have them bring up a bath mat and an extra set of towels. The location is great and the rooms are clean but for the price of the room, the service was not what was expected from a 4.5 star hotel. Read more
