If check in time is 3pm and you don't allow early check ins....please make sure to have my room available at 3. I had to wait an hour at the front desk before finally getting a room. I had scheduled in advance and even made contact with the hotel hours in advance. Everything else was fine but not worth it due to the hassle of receiving a room key.

This was my 2nd "luxury" hotel stay in Philadelphia (I have previously stayed in the Rittenhouse). Service at the Ritz was definitely on point and comparable to the Rittenhouse. The lobby is absolutely amazing. High ceilings .. period architecture .. it was awesome. Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful (which was to be expected). The room was […] very nice, but not as large as I had hoped (and I had a "Deluxe" room). The bathroom was very nice and large, but again I had originally thought it'd be more. (Not to say it was unimpressive, just that I had lofty ideas I guess!) The hotel was conveniently located right on Broad St across from City Hall. It was a quick walk to the Broad St Line down to the stadiums. Parking was steep (nearly $50 valet), but if you're flying in that won't be a problem! If you're looking for over-the-top luxury, I may suggest Rittenhouse. If you're looking for more of a "normal" luxury with plenty of available amenities and pristine customer service, the Ritz definitely does not disappoint! Read more

Smaller rooms than expected but its a beautiful building. Great location. We stayed to see a show in Camden 10 min ride. no prob. Great recommendations for food and terrific room service ($77 breakfast for 2 but its Eric Ripert's restaurant).

It's the Ritz, if you haven't stayed in one you should, if you have, what more do you need to say. The service is impeccable, the environment superb, the only thing I didn't like was the water pressure in the shower, but its an old building! If you want to stay somewhere that caters to your every need, you can not go wrong at The Ritz!

Everything was great, except the remotes for the TV needed the batteries to be changed. Had to have the remote very close to the TV to get them to turn on.

Beautiful Hotel and great customer service. Roy is beyond amazing! However, if you're in your mid/late 20's, you will definitely not find this crowd during their nightlife. Definitely a much older crowd.

A wonderful central location with beautiful views of City Hall. An impressive structure. Hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. Would be great if they offered sleeper couch option for families with children since rollaway beds are cumbersome to have in room for small children.

I was expecting a 5 star and was so looking forward to getting there. The staff was friendly upon arrival and was helpful. I think the problem for me was the size of the room. We had just come from the Omni which was in my opinion just as nice and WAY cheaper. The best two night hotel stay of my life. Extremely comfortable and accommodating in every way. Fabulous food and room service. Expert hospitality from every person we encountered at the hotel. Short walk to the convention center, restaurants and shopping. We plan to return to this and possibly other Ritz-carlton locations in the future.

We decided to treat ourselves to a stay at this hotel. Our daughter's wedding reception was right across the street at the Capital Grill, so the location could not be beat! Staff were extremely helpful & courteous. The bed was very comfortable. And in spite of being right in the middle of a bustling city, it was very quiet in our room.

I thought this hotel was great, and since 99% of my hotel decisions are made based on reviews I feel compelled to share my thoughts. From start to finish this hotel stay was great. Everyone was friendly and courteous. When we got to the hotel and checked into our (standard) room we were not happy. It was very small and for the price. I went down to […] the lobby desk and asked if they had any suites available and they were all booked. I recieved an apologized and was offered a larger standard room upgrade at no additional fee. Some suggestions of you have never stayed here before... There is a valet service in front of the hotel which will bend over backwards to make you happy... However - there is a $49 per day parking fee tacked on to you hotel bill. I think it is a little high and I didn't see any info about it on the website but given how difficult it is to find parking in Philly $49 does not seem like highway murder and I would not let that deter me from staying there again - just budget that into your vacation fund. Secondly, if you plan on enjoying the beautiful lounge area I highly recommend sitting at the actual bar and not at the tables. Every waiter we had was rude and took forever to serve us... Tha bartenders at the bar are awesome and like everyone else in the hotel bent over backwards to make us happy. Overall if I find myself in Philly again I would definitly stay here. There are great restaurants within a block and the most magical view City Hall. Read more

The room was average. I feel like I overpaid by about $100. The Rittenhouse Hotel is about $30 cheaper and vastly superior. A stay there makes you feel like a king. A stay at the Ritz Carlton makes you feel like a business traveler who had to take the last room available.

The guest rooms are not extraordinary (though they are clean and comfortable), but the bar and restaurant are phenomenal. The customer service is quite good in every area. And, of course, you cannot beat the location in center city Philadelphia.

They allowed me to check in early which was very nice after flying on a red-eye from LA...however when i got to the room it had not 1 but 2 'ozone' machines running to clean out the air from the previous occupant who was obviously smoking in the room...when I called they said it was the only room avail...so when I left for lunch I requested the machines […] be removed and that my room be cleaned. I returned from lunch an hour and a half later the machines were still there and my room was not cleaned. I highly recommend staying at the Sofitel or Loews...where I've rec'd far superior service at a better price. Read more
