From reading some of the other reviews you'd get the idea this hotel was kind of crummy. Yes, it was cold until I turned on the heat, as most hotel rooms are. No, I didn't have to rekey my keycard every day. I had plenty of towels and toilet paper. The room was clean and everything worked. I was really happy with my stay. The staff was pleasant and there was parking right in front of my room. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a great hotel in the heart of Johnson City, close to restaurants, Mall, Shopping Centers etc.... Really close to the main road (Roan Street) I was thinking there would be a lot of traffic noise in the rooms, but amazingly I didn't hear not one car. My room was very clean, staff was very nice, the free breakfast was great you get a waffle, biscuit, gravy, cereal, Mini muffins, mini cini rolls, fruit, milk, juice, coffee, hot cereal. Only complaint that I have is that when I went to my room they where spray washing the sidewalks, the spray washer was gas operated so it was very noisy, but hey they got to do it sometime, plus this was like 2pm. Also they had free Wifi internet. The TV's could be replaced but still could see the tv very well. For those that wrote reviews complaining about the pool being broken, I don't think anyone that goes to this hotel really goes to the pool, if it was a resort I would understand, this isn't your normal vacation hotel, it is meant for business people or just travelers.

Pool pump was broke, Not sure if they'll ever fix it. actually pool in middle of parking lot, not very secluded. If we had known we would have went to different hotel with pool. continental breakfast was "okey" halls had a wierd smell. We had to rekey our room card all three days we stayed. Kinda annoying. fast food, restraunts, shops, mall, all within walking distance. It was minor stuff cept the pool. I would like to try a different hotel in area next time.

The room was a in a great location and was close to everything. The free breaskfast was good and filling. The people were nice and they gave us extra towels when we asked for them. I only had one complaint and that was they were skimpy on their toliet paper.... LOL They only give you one roll and with two females in the room that is so not enough.. I had to practically beg for another roll and then they wouldn't give us anymore and they didn't refill our tissue box.. Other than that it was a decent hotel at a good price.

My niece recently graduated from East Tennessee State University so members of our family came from both the East Coast and West Coast of our country to attend. None of us were familiar with Johnson City so, with my niece's recommendation, we chose the Ramada. Upon check in we discovered a missing shower curtain in one room, my father's. He had a new one installed in minutes. My nephew requested non-smoking. His room was obviously a smoking room so he was moved instantly with apologies. My room lacked a remote for the television so the front desk clerk gave me a new one and offered to program it for me if it was necessary. It worked fine and everyone was well pleased with the accommodations. We had three night stay with many activities planned. The hotel staff assisted us with finding dining for a large group on short notice that was affordable for our family. I recommend this hotel for anyone with business in Johnson City that may need to watch their budget with comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a nice breakfast.

The quality of this Hotel was not up to my standards. There was not a high attention to cleanliness and there was a funny odor in the stairway. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel.

We were just looking for an inexpensive but clean place to stay, and that is exactly what we found. There wasn't much room other than the beds, TV, & bathroom, but it served its purpose. In fact, I could roll over in bed and reach the heating/AC unit to adjust the temperature...so it works. The breakfast was free, but it wasn't the best. The biscuits were either too soft and mushy or hard...and the bananas were green. The juice cups were little bathroom cups, so we used coffee cups instead. But, to save money, it filled us up enough to hold out to buy lunch.

The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful with giving directions/map to locations we were visiting. I was very impressed with the continental breakfast as it contained a lot more than the standard stale bagel. The eating area was very nice and comfortable. The bathroom was a nice size and the shower actually had water pressure! We were not disturbed in ANY way by noise. The people we met were all very nice and interesting to talk with. The only thing wrong with our room is that our alarm clock did not work, however we were not on a tight schedule so it did not really matter.

Our first room wouldn't cool down and the manager had to come to the room to "see what the problem" was before moving us to another. The second room we moved into was musty and felt a bit "used" with the carpet having a sticky feel and the bottom of the bathtub was in serious need of some deep cleaning at the least. The walls also had several bad patches in them at various spots throughout the room..... To top it off while my wife was outside to have a cigarette in the front she was asked if she "needed a ride" by a seedy looking individual that was cruising the parking lot. Towards the end of the stay I started to wonder if some of the rooms had an hourly rate.

For the money that I paid, I suppose I got what I should have expected. The bed was harder than I normally like. There were a couple of small stains on the sheets. I wish the bed spread had been a comforter. The covers were very thin (cheap). Other than that, the room was large. It had double vanities which is unusual. I was glad it was not next to the expressway (it was a few buildings away). The staff was friendly. One last thing - even though only two people stay in the room, could you please put more than two towels and two wash cloths in there? I don't understand why some hotels do that.
