Motel 6 Carson - Carson

We have been completelly surprised seeing undergoing reconstruction of one wing without being noticed in advance. Rooms were copletelly equipped by IKEA - as IKEA is next to the hotel :-) So the stay has some "nord european feel" - not bad for us, but some may miss the room carpet.

The hotel rooms were and toilets were clean, which is the most important aspect for a hotel. the service was good the staff was polite and helpful. from there it all goes down hill. The hotel was priced well and the service was good. When we pulled up, we were nervous b/c the hotel is being renovated but the rooms were clean, modern and newly renovated. There was little noise in the morning from the construction. We will definitely stay there again.

First time at this location. It was about the same as I had previously read about. Motel is still under remodeling on the exterior and in lobby area. Been awhile since I stayed at a Motel6. A bit strange having no carpet in the room, but not bothersome to me. The way the rooms have been remodeled make them seem sparce. The 'King' size bed seemed small […] for that size. Pillows were not as good as I had hoped. The pillows would be ok if you have twice as many and tthe 3 pillows that were provided seemed too small for the bed. The lawn maintenance guy decided to water down my window for some reason. Luckily I had just closed the window or else I might have had a big mess. I asked the front desk guy why they would do that and he had no answer. I was concerned about how noisy it would be there, but it was quiet for a Friday night There is a buffet place immediately adjacent to the motel that has good foo and there's a mall across the street. Overall, not bad. I had a clean room and everything worked ok, though the toilet was a little suspect and the entrance door to the room was quite squeaky. The hotel room was nice and updated. However, when we were in the hallway, we smelled weed coming from a room. Not what we expected, especially with a child! We had a non smoking room, but when we woke in the morning we smelled cigarets. Probably wouldn't go back again. Never had that experience before and I have stayed in a lot of hotels.

The rooms, especially the beds felt and looked like hospital beds. The floor wasn't carpeted. The only good thing was the restrooms. It was loud in the halls. It was a horrible stay.

Me and my girlfriend went to visit some family and the hotel looked great from the outside despite its construction. The room was clean and was pretty comfy. The mall is right across the street which is great because there is a lot of places to eat and walk around. Right next the freeway which is convenient. This Motel 6 was still under construction. The front desk agent was very helpful,at accommodating me 2 rooms right next to each other. I know he may not be able to control everything. But the people hanging around the building, side entrance...was not kool.

Although I am not against it, I don't think it would be the best first impression for future guests, being that the motel is near a commercial shopping center. This was by far my worst stay away from home. Your hotel brand is "We will keep the light on for you". This motel should have been in complete darkness. The couches in the waiting room were beyond filthy, the arms were black as if they had never been cleaned. There were no elevators so you had to carry your bags up disgusting stairs. We were told by one person at the help desk he would bring a blow dryer up...he stated they had them. My husband went down to check in it and two different guys were now working and laughed it off and said we don't provide blow dryers but we can give you an iron...? What good would that do to dry hair? This is definitely one of the best Motel 6s that I have been too. We were staying here for a few days for New Year's Eve. The rooms have been redone with a modern decor & the bed & pillows were comfy. I loved how they decorated the room & bathroom. They are still renovating but I never heard any noises from it (although they might not have been doing […] too much during the holiday). The workers are friendly & it's in a nice area of Carson. There is a mall & a bunch of restaurants across the street. The only issue we had was that our toilet wasn't working. After the maintenance worker came up up & fixed it (which meant that we had to hold the handle down the entire time during the flush), he said that the toilet was going to have to be replaced. All in all, that was just a small blemish on an otherwise great stay. Read more

Overall, our stay was ok. Disappointed that there was no iron, ironing board, coffee maker or blow dryer. So be prepared. Room was rather bare. No chest of drawers for your clothes. Very simple room. Just a bed and a table. Convenient for a short stay. Wouldn't stay there more than 3 days.

1).Large sprawling property. If you have mobility issues, would inform clerk that you need room close to front desk. 2). Do not like the new card key. It is a blank piece of plastic, that you place card over reader. It takes a while before you hit the access point.

The motel is going through a remodel and the lobby looks great. Almost like a hotel lobby. Half the rooms are remodeled with laminate wood flooring and flat screen tvs. Only problem, the flooring is buckled and there are soft spots where it feels your walking on a sponge in some areas. Shotty, cheap labor and trying to cut corners on costs. The rooms […] were large but felt empty and echoey due to the open space and lack of furnishings, pictures, mirrors, etc. Our room door was very squeeky when being opened/closed. I kept waking up my baby every time I opened the door. Also, they didn't even offer baby cribs. As we were packing our belongings, I set my suitcase on the bed and I noticed a bug walking on top of my suitcase. I took a picture of the bug and began googling fleas, ticks, bed bugs, etc. but couldn't find the right bug. I spoke with a housekeeper and she told me to tell the front desk and they have routine insepctions. She also said they rent rooms to people with dogs and maybe the bug came off a dog. Maybe Motel 6 should have a policy simliar to their non-smoking room choice; a non-pet room? I stood in line to tell the front desk as I checked out, but there were a lot of people waiting in the lobby and in line and I didn't want to make a scene. I tried calling the front desk for 30 minutes, but I guess they don't answer phones when they have a line. The rooms were nice but the customer service was horrible. The employees don't know how to talk to people. The manager came out to the pool in flip flops to tell the kids to be quiet at 12 in the afternoon. Why did they need to be quiet. You ask for something they said ill call i hope they do it.
