"A place to stay for the night"
The hotel staff was very nice. The hotel is run down and needs maintenance and some TLC, however, the hotel room was clean. It served its purpose as a place to stay in Ann Arbor after the football game.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Victory Inn was smelly and disgusting inside."
Stay somewhere else other than Victory Inn. I rented 2 rooms, both were run down, had broken fixtures, and had old uncomfortable bedding (no support). The toilet would not stop running in one room. The hallways were dark and smelled like cheap hair tonic. What a rip off.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
They need to close this dump down!! Hey I understand it was the weekend of the MI ND game but that place is not worth more than $50 oer night. It was disgustingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not-so-clean crash pad"
The cleanliness and condition of the hotel was pretty gross. The beds were tiny as were the bath towels. It was fine to crash overnight after a football game but we definitely didn't want to spend any more time in the room than we had to! When we checked in, there were items left over from the last guest in the room. Finally, the fridge was overly cold-- […] everything froze! Only good point was that the AC worked well! "don't believe anything"
Horrible! let's start by saying that I was told by hotel management that I could do an early check in for an extra 20 bucks. So on the day of my reservationI arrived early and was told there is no early check in. I hadn't slept or showered from driving across country. the hotel manager was so rude and at one point even put his hand up in the air and […] wave to me away. The room was dirty, the hotel had mold in it, and its run down. Beautiful pool that is advertised on their phone call and website is shut down, broke and covered by a giant tarp. staff was so rude and the place was so run down that my friends and I ended up pating double to go to a hotel miles away. if you don't care about rude service mold and dirty conditions, then you'll be fine at this hotel. "Don't do it."
I wanted a cheap hotel. I thought I could put up with anything for a night or two. Lies. Don't do it. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. It is obviously from the time when smoking was still allowed in rooms, because every room reeks of a pungent odor that I struggled to pin down between musty/mildew and years of absorbed smoke. The walls were […] stained and falling in, the chairs were stained, the sheets were stained. They had maybe 20 channels on a TV from the mid-90s. The one redeeming factor was that they had free internet, but I could barely stand to stay in my room long enough to use it. If this was the only hotel available to me and my only other option was to sleep in a cardboard box, I would choose the box. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
It was about what I expected for the price. Nothing enjoyable, but a cheap place to sleep.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is in desperate need of repairing and cleaning!!! The good thing: no bugs.... but they really need to have some work done, at least some vacuum, soap, and water.Genuine Expedia guest review

"You get what you pay for"
Pool not in order, curtains old, hallway smell odd.ice machine all broken, ac was cold, tv channels bad reception for all 8 watchable channels. Like I said you get what you pay for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to campus"
Very dingy, smoky room (even though it said No smoking).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The first sign is the tarp covered swimming pool. Walking into the hallway we run into people cancelling their room and leaving. We couldn't get into the first room, key card didn't work. Smelled cigarette every where including the room. No working elevators. Looked like a run down student hostel. I don't know how they pass inspection.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A few dollars more would have been worth the move."
Front desk confused and slow. Door lock cards worked only once, then not again. Mirror in bath badly cracked. TV remote missing back panel and one battery. Bottle caps and candy wrappers accumulated under dust ruffle from many days without vacuuming. Blood spatter stains on sheets. Tears in coverlet. Three guys drank beer and worked on their car in […] the parking lot all night talking loudly. Outer door security locks inoperative. Morning breakfast was cereal or muffin only. Elevator located far from lobby. Hotel generally in poor repair and poorly maintained. For a few dollars more, a newer and better run hotel is available. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"ancient and decrepit"
Each corridor has an odor of its own, and there's a place on the floor, near the elevator where, if you step on it, it answers with an explosive KerChunk. The ice machine on the third floor has been removed. The one on the second floor is a little out of kilter, but works. But the room was comfortable, the price right.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We ended up here after a house fire on a day where ALL other hotels were booked. Alone the smell in the place made us sick, everything is very dirty and old and we still paid $70 which is a jokeGenuine Expedia guest review
"i did not like it"
It took me 3 attemps to access the hotel from the address they provide (I ended up entering the highway). The room was not in good shape, breakfast was not very good and the general smell and appearance didnt look good either. Not recommended for the priceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not happy at all."
I've stayed at this hotel a few times now and every time I do, the conditions get worse. I had dirty towels and a microwave that didn't work in my room. I was also directly across from housekeeping headquarters that seemed to be more of a party place than a nightclub! The cable connection sucked (had snow on the screen the whole time) and I couldn't […] connect to the "free" wifi at all. Oh yeah, the outdoor pool that the rates get jacked up for in the summertime, was once again out of commission. They really need to get it together. Not a happy overnight stayer... I wouldnt stay at this hotel for free. The moment i walked in the front desk guy was very rude and asked what we wanted. In my opinion he should be fired if not the hotel will loose whatever little business they get. I stayed there for a couple of hours and checked out, couldn't stand the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to air show hotel"
he hotel was very dissapionting in several ways, no swimming pool, breakfast was very small, we had no water in our room sink. there was no coffee pot for morning coffee in room. ice machine was hard to find and then it did not work.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is an absolute ghetto, where you would want to avoid at all cost. When I visited Ann Arbor, all other hotels were booked since there was a certain union convention going on at Ann Arbor. This is the only hotel that had a room. No wonder. Hairs in the towel, cigarrtee butt hole at the bed sheet, and all kinds of dirt and slime at every corner of […] the house. Dear fellow traveller, this is not a facility for a human being. Avoid it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I know there was a plumbers convention in town so finding a hotel in the area was very limited. The security to the building was none existent. The room had a phone that did not work, bed sheets that had stains, no clock or alarm. Loud questionable guest. And a very lousy continental breakfast. Will not stay in this hotel again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Safety is a concern. All doors exit to outside were not locked. Building maintenance work is required..Genuine Expedia guest review
spent one sunday night here. the king size bed was clean & comfy. the room had a fridge & micro that I didn't need to use. the tv remote wasn't in room and tv couldn't be turn on by buttons. the ice bucket had a hole in it, but I didn't need it. the waste basket & bathroom door could use a wipe down...otherwise, room appeared clean. it was very quiet. "Very nice stay"
We spent a very nice night in this hotel while moving in Ann Arbor. Furniture is a bit updated but the bed (king) was very comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Our stay at this hotel was unpleasant. The hotel staff were very attentive and helpful. I'm handicapped and asked for a ground floor room; but required to go down some stairs to get to it. There were several "people" hanging around the front entrance, drinking and cussing... The back door security door can not be locked allowing anyone to enter. The […] picture in the advertisements were probably taken 10 years ago with bright vivid colors. The appearance of the outside of the building was anything but bright with vivid colors. Furniture in our room appeared several decades old. Walls near bed were mirrored and must be very expensive. If they used sheet rock and paint they could save money and spend it on making improvements elsewhere. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Victory Inn - Ann Arbor, MI"
It was almost a 'do it yourself' hotel. When I asked for extra blankets and pillows, I had to carry them upstairs myself from the front desk. Also, when I initially asked for them, the front desk person asked me if I wanted them now or later. Totally unacceptable and no professionalism at all. There were what looked like transients and drifters sitting […] at the front of the hotel entrance. While they used rocks and bricks as door stops. We may as well been staying in a cave. Plenty of rocks and bricks to be found. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, disappointing amenities."
The hotel is centrally located in the Ann Arbor area and is a very short and direct drive to campus. The outdoor o=pool was under construction or just out of commission; the continental breakfast was less than continental and the room had a pervasive odor of mildew that struck you upon entering. The lighting left the room constantly dark, unless you […] open the shade onto a picture window that does not open and "pictures" the parking lot! Fore the price and amount of time in the room it was only disappointing, however the overall experience was a disaster!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Definitely wasn't worth the money"
Since hotels have a habit of jacking up their prices, I was forced to stay here. $180 for two nights and it was waaaay overpriced. The toilet looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. The room itself was dingy, musty and didn't smell very fresh. The TV had about ten channels, most of which were snowy and hard to see. The hotel itself […] was hot and had a musty smell, apparently made a bit better by a guy walking down the hall and spraying copious amount of air freshener that mostly made me cough than made the place smell better. There was no hot fresh coffee for people staying and their continental breakfast only lasted till 9:30 a.m., so I didn't get a chance to see how awesome that was or was not. If this place had been cheaper, fine. But to pay what I paid, this is not what I expected. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"If I could affix a negative # to my rating I would"
Beyond a shadow of a doubt, this is the absolute worst facility I have ever stayed at. Concern began as we approached the hotel, on one of the busiest weeks of the year in Ann Arbor, and saw only 2 vehicles in the parking lot. While pulling up to the main lobby our concern grew as we saw the doors propped open with chunks of concrete. The gentleman […] attending the front desk was courteous enough and apologetic for the heat in the building as the owners had turned off the AC for a cost savings. This was on an 88 degree day with steaming humidity. As we ascended the stairway to our room on the third floor I tripped over one of the many areas where the carpet had come up and was torn. Entering our room the blast of heat about knocked us over - the management does not turn on room AC prior to a guest arriving! The furniture had to have been purchased at the local Salvation Army. The bed was squeekier than a model A Ford that had been rusting in the desert for 100 years. I would write more but remaining space only permits me to finish with this comment - don't ever consider staying at this pig sty. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Beware! a DUMP!"
Run Down! Airconditioning troubling! Staff not fully trained! Dirty carpet! Filthy bath tubs! Continental Breakfast...lame! Hair on clean towels! Chair upolstery spotted and filthy! I can only imagine what the bed spread is about in the clean dept .... pretty much NOT! Hottest week of the summer ... and the pool was closed .... huh????Genuine Expedia guest review

Wi-fi didn't work in our room all 5 days we were there, including the lobby! Very run down and not well-maintained. I was too grossed out to touch anything or walk on the floor bare-foot.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't stay here!"
I stayed here because I was on business and needed a quick and inexpensive room. Plus it had free wifi and continental breakfast. The whole place was dingy and smelly and the lobby restroom smelt like urine and had paper towel everywhere. The first room key they gave me was to a room that was already occupied! I walked in and they were in there, with […] their suitcases and everything. Luckily they weren't doing anything inappropriate. When I got to my room, my bathroom couldve been cleaner also. There was a thunderstorm that night and the while lobby flooded. It was fun times walking through the water they hadn't bother mopping up. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Take a big dose of low expectations."
The pool with a partially collapsed tarp greets you. Inside it's the immediate musty odor which did disappear as we passed all of the smokers rooms. The room was musty smelling with peeling wallpaper borders. There was dried blood on the side of the mattress I slept on. I dont't appear to have contracted bed bugs. Oh, and there weren't any working ice […] machines. The desk has access to the restaurant. A small amount of ice can be obtained. The continental breakfast gives you a selection of muffins, white bread and a toaster. Some sort of cereal, coffee, sunny d and what might have been milk in pitchers. "Convienient but you get what you pay for"
This hotel is conveniently located off route 23 in Ann Arbor. I was there for a business conference at the U of Michigan, which was a short drive away. I got to the hotel early, like 11 AM, and they let me check in anyway, which I really appreciated. The hotel, parking lot, and rooms are pretty run down looking. The bathroom was dingy and the toilet […] had a weak flush (enough said about that). Room was small and had a dingy feel. The two pictures over the bed were mounted crooked and they were both the same picture! The bed was comfortable enough. The TV was an old tube model. WiFi worked fine. "There were no other rooms in town for graudation"
The hotel has not been kept up. We had requested a handicap room and were given 1 on ground floor but not close to the outside door or front desk. The room did not smell fresh and the windows do not open. Only 1 chair in the room with 2 double beds. The side walk was uneven and all exit doors had room key locks that were broken so the outside doors […] did not lock. We were left with the impression that it would not be safe by looking at the hotel but everyone else staying there was also there for graduation and very nice. Staff was very nice. "The Nicest Way to Put it: I Would Never Come Back"
This hotel was a nightmare. Let me just walk you through it... I am from a nearby town but stayed late in Ann Arbor and I decided to get a room for the night for a couple friends and I to stay in. First impress walking in "this place seems okay, I guess." We go up the elevator, and I slowly start to realize everything is run down and grummy. The hallways […] smelled like marijuana and stale cigarettes. The beds in our rooms were noisy and uncomfortable, and the bed sheets barely covered the mattress. The sheets looked like they haven' t been washed in day (my friend found a long, curly hair on her bed). The bathrooms were filthy... And there were stains all over the wall, door, and door knob... I assume they were blood stains. Haha... Long story short, this place was nasty and I was straight-up embarrassed taking my friends there! Never again! Don't go there unless they rejuvenate everything! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
