Letterkenny Court Hotel - Letterkenny

We were touring in Ireland over the past few weeks. Our GPS was unable to find this hotel. Eventually we found it by driving to Letterkenny. The hotel is old, but in decent shape. Our room was cold, and had no hot water.

Letterkenny Hotel is located in the heart of Letterkenny which was an interesting location and made for some nice views of the little town and Cathedral etc. The room was clean and very comfortable. The two complaints that we had was even though the Wi-Fi was free in the hotel we weren't able to get signal in our room on the 3rd floor and couldn't access […] the internet. The parking lot is expensive. The hotel is dreary with very small rooms and lobby. The clientele is mostly large groups of drinking parties. We hated every minute of our stay there. Unless you plan to stay drunk the entire time you are here, go somewhere else. The hotel clerk was friendly, but not very helpful.

I am quite pleased with my overall experience at the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Two maps were given to us upon check-in and the hotel and popular sights with the best routes to get there were circled for us. The room was clean, comfortable, and well decorated. It was moments away from both the National Gallery (free), the Museum, Trinity College and the Book of Kells, Grafton Street and Powerhouse Market, and just minutes from the major cathedrals. This is a hotel that I would go back to if in Dublin again. My only complaint would be that you have to pay for Wi-Fi service. Hotel is very clean. Room service to the highest possible standard. We noticed that place itself it's a bit worn: carpets on staircase and lift. Staff are friendly and helpfull, but quite often too busy chatting to themselves to respond or even acknoweldge the customer promptly. Anyway good value for money. We will visit the hotel again.

the hotel location is superb, but the rooms need updating. ours was cold for 95% of our stay despite complaining several times regarding this. The food is excellent and the staff are excellent... Walls are paper thin! Heard couple next door from early hours. Lot of noise from Main Street. Did not get a minutes sleep. Bed clothes had strong smell of urine! Nightmare.

Great hotel for a girlie weekend, great atmosphere & a very helpful lovely receptionist called Laura made our stay that wee bit more special by being so welcoming! The hotel was. Cheap but modern & clean and close to the clubs etc. within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!! Xx

Pros: Very convenient location, hotel room was clean. Cons: Elevator was out of order during our whole stay. Maintenance need to look at the rooms, few loose bits here and there. Stag party on our last night kept up up ALL night shouting. Night porter did try to quieten them but was fighting a loosing battle. Would not stay here again.

We stayed as a family with 2 rooms, which were both clean and quite spacious. There was a double and a single bed in each room, which was very convenient. The bathroom with shower over the bath was clean. The Wi-Fi signal did not reach our room, but was strong and readily available in the reception area (other rooms may have a signal). We ate breakfast […] in the restaurant, and there was plenty of food, and served with a smile. The hotel; is on the main street in Letterkenny, but there is a multi-story car park behind which had plenty of spaces when we stayed - if there for more than overnight, buy a multi-day ticket which allows multiple entry and exits. The only real problem was thatt he lift was out of order, but we were on the first floor so it wasn't such a problem. Read more

I did not enjoy my stay, when we arrived on friday evening at about 8 pm there was a group of guys maybe 10-15 of them at reception with bags of beer, the majority of this group were very drunk , I had to wait about 20 minutes before I was checked in, the lift was out of service so we had to carry our bags 3 flights of stairs passed the same guys on […] the 1st floor stairwell, during the night from apprx 2 am until 6 am at different stages there was people shouting in the hallway on the 3rd floor were our room was. Area has recently been upgraded and the town center is now quite pretty. The hotel though is old and badly in need of a makeover. The kitchens were closed despite the sign advertising 3 course evening meals and there is no provision for car parking other than the local multi-storey.

Pas terrible. Les chambres étaient propres mais le reste était assez simple. Le restaurant le soir la nourriture n'était pas terrible et le matin non plus, de plus le personnel du matin n'était pas trop aimable et les tasses etc n'étaient pas propres. Je ne recommanderais pas cet hôtel.
