Tasteful decorations, incredible photographic art, quiet room, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The on site restaurant is tops, with a creative menu and very knowledgeable wine steward. Rooms were small as was bathroom. The beds were two doubles and they didn't leave much space to move around between then. Amenities were nice and it is a great location. Ate all meals in restaurant hotel and food was good if a little overpriced. the bar was crowded noisy and had very little seating. we had to get our own drinks from the bar. paid $50 nonrefundable fee for our dog and their website touts them as a very pet friendly hotel and each pooch gets his own personal water bowl and doggie zaza snack. they never appeared. i didn't say anything at the time but plan on emailing hote management.

The wife and I fell in love with this hotel and it has become our "quick romantic getaway" location. It exceeded every expectation and the Fantastico room is perfect... except for the picture they chose to hang in the bathroom... (pic of a dude staring at you while you conduct your business) :-) We cannot wait to return to take advantage of the numerous things to do in the neighborhood surrounding the Hotel ZaZa like Museums, golf, jazz clubs and the ZaZa's pool area is off the chart nice!!! The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. If you get the opportunity - stay there. You will not be disappointed.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool area was great. However, we were kept up most of the night by partying guests who seemed to spend most of the night in the corridors. Because it is an old building, the walls were not very soundproof and I could hear the neighboring televisions and showers starting up to say nothing of people in the hallways. There are no restaurants other than the hotel within walking distance but it is convenient to the museums. The bed was very comfortable and the furniture was pretty.

Stayed at Hotel Zaza for 3 nights on business. Got a nice room for a good price. I was very pleased with the young, upscale atmosphere. The decore is art decco/asian inspired. I was also impressed with the customer service. I used their business center a couple of times while there. The staff consistently made sure there was paper in the printers... and followed through to ensure I had what I needed. I really enjoyed the complimentary coffee every morning on each floor, and refreshements in the lobby in the afternoon. I will definitely stay at Hotel ZaZa again!

Have stayed at the Hotel ZaZa on several occasions. This time, I found my room smaller and perhaps, a bit musty...some remnants of refurbishing an old, old hotel. The neighborhood is great and very convenient for museum activities; even a 10 minute drive from the Galleria. However, valet parking is a pain...is expensive...and I dearly missed the convenience of going to my car whenever I chose to. In addition, the valet experience at this venue is a bit overwheming when hords of attendants decend upon you as you break! Felt rushed rather than pampered! Also would appreciate some lower prices on menu...hotel is not in the restaurant zone unless you are a walker.

The bathroom consisted of a very, very small pedestal sink with no room to set things down. Despite the adequate size of the space there was only one small towel bar by the sink, a hook on the back of the door and a very small glass shelf above the toilet which had the hotel's things on it. The towels were in the bedroom, under the bedside table. It was frustrating just trying to get ready for the day.
