The lodge was wonderful. 20 minutes outside of Seattle downtown but well worth the drive. Access was easy and with the wineries surrounding the hotel, you have the best of both worlds.

My husband and I stayed at Willows the night of our wedding, and when we walked in we were greeted with a plate of chocolate covered strawberries, rose petals everywhere including on our bed in the shape of a heart and our initials, and a lovely little card from the staff. There are likely more inexpensive hotels in the area, but this place was elegant, comfortable and a must do again for us. RedHook Brewery is right next door (walking distance) and the staff is GREAT. A must do for a nice evening/morning away from the kids.

Hotel is showing some wear. The wood is beautiful but it doesn't hold up well. The staff is amazing. The food is expensive but really good. Parking is tough. Happy Hour at this hotel is awesome. No elevator in the second building.

We stayed at Willows Lodge as we were having dinner at the Herbfarm Restaurant next door. We also had our 3 month old as well. The property was so accommodating to our little one. We had a babysitter come to our room and we had wine before dinner while listening to great live music. The room is so peaceful and quiet, even with a baby!

The hotel was beautiful and had a rustic decor that instantly made you feel comfortable. We stayed there because we had dinner reservations at The Herb Farm which made for an easy commute home after a 9 course meal + 6 course wine parings. The only negative experience was the fire alarm that was pulled at 7:30AM the next morning due to a heating issue […] in the hotel. Everyone on the 2nd floor was required to evacuate the hotel for 30-45 minutes. They hotel was nice enough to offer free coffee and pastries while we waited across the street at The Barking Frog restaurant. Although, I believe the breakfast would have been complementary regardless of the fire alarm. The staff was overly apologetic, but I would have liked to see them offer a little something extra for the inconvenience (a discounted credit for the next stay, free dessert across the street, etc...) just a little something to show that they would go above and beyond for their customers. Other than that - we had a wonderful time and I would recommend to anyone else as it's a beautiful area and the hotel compliments the relaxing atmosphere. Read more

Very nice hotel. From what we tried on the menu everything was good, but the eggs benedict in the morning the white part of the eggs was runny, very dissapointing when you are someone who loves eggs benedict. But overall very nice, cozy hotel with great service.

For the price, this was a disappointing experience. We booked a "Nicer" room - at no discount to the price listed on the Willows' website- with a King bed, but what we got was a room with 2 queen beds that happened to be right next to a loud holiday party. We asked to get the bed situation corrected, but apparently Expedia doesn't guarantee the room […] type, and the staff at Willows wasn't eager to help us out. So much for a romantic getaway. Then we received a prank call in the late evening and had to go down to the front desk to verify it was a fraud. Very strange. The grounds are beautiful, though, and I can see that if you received what you had asked and paid for, this could be a nice hotel. The location near the wineries is great, but I wished I'd booked a cheaper hotel in Woodinville so that I felt I'd at least gotten my money's worth. Read more

This is the perfect romantic getaway. If you are a wine lover, plan to go early and enjoy the wine tastings and bring back one of your favorite wines to enjoy in the big soaking tub. Room is spacious, clean, and quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Great time again at Willows Lodge. Our daughter lives in Edmonds and we like to stay at Willows for the holidays. Our daughter and grandchildren joined us for dinner in the Fireside lounge on Wednesday and everyone was pleased with the meals there! We love being able to bring our dog as well!

This is for folks for whom the distinction between 5-star and 4-star is extremely meaningful. (It isn't to some, and for those folks, Willows Lodge will be as good as it needs to get.) But for folks who are accustomed to Four Seasons-type shmanciness, you may find this to be a 3.75-star, maybe 4-star place, from a room-luxury poit of view. Very cool […] modern interior design, but in a lodge setting. It almost works brilliantly. Layout is maybe slightly unintuitive--TV is a bit far away from the bed for viewing, the layout of the bathroom can be a bit awkward (shower directly in front of the toilet) etc. These don't necessarily subtract, but you can imagine a place that NAILS little details like that to deliver perhaps a sliiiightly more luxurious overall experience. People were perfectly friendly, really nice soaps and things like that... but maybe not quite super-duper luxury is all. If your expectations are properly set, this place will be absolutely fabulous. This hotel is expensive and in an expensive area - woodinville wine country has grown up and so have their prices for everything from dining to wine tasting. Having said that, the Willows was worth the splurge. We were welcomed with a glass of wine and information on wine tasting, met Chef Bobby from the Barking Frog and snagged some last minute dinner […] reservations. The next night, they made reservations at Russells and provided coupons for it. The room itself was lovely. Fair warning that you do have to carry stuff up a flight+ of stairs but they offer bell help at any point you need it. The soaking tub, fireplace, great coffee and french press, and little balcony all add to the delight. Our room did look out over the roof but we could look towards the gardens as well - which are worth a morning stroll. Fireside has live music each night and we got rave reviews from people in the area so we tried it - and were not disappointed. Its walking distance to some of the wineries but beware that the distance between them is a bit and if its fall, take an complimentary umbrella even if its not raining - because it may be when you return. Pretentious sprawling. Can't walk far, so requested near elevator. Got room as far S & W of Reception as possible. Bath had open window to bedroom for heat. Fireplace on for hour before the bath was warm enough to undress, then closed curtains, drapes and shutters to keep the Burke Gilman Trail hikers from seeing into tub. Very disconcerting. Another […] problem: no real soap. Liquid stuff fastened to wall above tub. Impossible to read the ingredients without standing on your head with magnifying glass. In-tub access meant a kneel-up and stretch over the faucet to reach very stiff pumps. Designed for BIG people. No hand-holds or safety bar either. Restaurant across the drive was overpriced and under imagined (lots of onion-garlic-peppers in Italian or French.) I am allergic to spices and it was impossible to leave them all off. I ended up with sweet-potato fries supposed to be spice free. Luke-warm, I ate little, and 2 hours later had a horrible stomach ache all night. Breakfast was 2 pieces of buttered toast but one was bone dry. The spa in separate N building visible only from parking lot. "Warm and inviting" Fireside Cellars bar is anything but. The bar itself is utility area. Seats are widely separated tables or couches, not conducive to stranger conversations. Everyone I saw was in groups of 4+ people. They don’t want comments without your e-mail address. The only pleasant person in the whole place was the bellhop. Read more

When I first got there I was amazed at the beauty of the grounds. I was also amazed at the how close it was to some amazing stops like Woodinville Whiskey, Redhook, Chateau Ste. Michelle and many other wineries. If you are looking for a lovely getaway this is a must.
