Hotel staff very friendly. nice lobby, good breakfast with fresh fruits and no plastic dishes. After complaining about the size of suite we were sold for 5 persons (definitely too small and not a fair sale) we were given complimentary upgrade to a two bed room suite by the manager which was very much appreciated. Free parking and free wireless internet are very convenient as well as close access to highway and airport.

Free shuttle to the hotel from airport. Nice exercise room and pool. Room was very comfortable, staff friendly, and hotel was well-maintained and clean. Shuttle provided by hotel to points of interest and cruiseport. Definite return stay next time catching a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale.

Location.
The JW Marriott Hotel Miami is located just two miles south of downtown on Brickell Avenue. The hotel is near the heart of the financial district and convenient to the cruise port and Coconut Grove. Key Biscayne, with its pristine beaches, is just a short drive down Brickell Avenue.
Hotel Features.
The JW Marriott Hotel Miami has a full-service, 24-hour business center, and fitness facility, which is also open 24 hours. For recreation, the Marriott features a stainless steel, outdoor pool, with a beach-like setting. Four different food and beverage outlets are on site including a British-style pub, a casual breakfast spot, and fine-dining room. Room service is available around the clock.
Guestrooms.
The guestrooms are beautifully appointed and wired with high-tech amenities including ergonomic desks, plasma televisions, and flat-panel computer terminals with complimentary high-speed Internet access. La Terraza Café and Bar - Casual dining. International fare. Sports on plasma TV. Daily lunch and dinner; bar open from late morning to late evening.
Drake's - Reminiscent of a classic British pub. Appetizers, specialty drinks, and full bar. Open Monday–Saturday from late afternoon to late evening; closed Sunday.
Room service - Available 24 hours.
The hotel's seventh floor offers a rectangular, stainless steel, outdoor pool with sundeck and adjacent spa tub. The complimentary 24-hour fitness center overlooks the pool and includes cardio and strengh-training equipment and a sauna.

The Metromover links the AmericanAirlines Arena, Bayside Marketplace, the Brickell Avenue financial district, the Miami Art Museum, and many other central attractions. Passengers can transfer to the Metrorail to venture north and south. The Port of Miami is near downtown, as are three ethnic enclaves: Little Haiti, Little Havana, and Liberty City, the historic African-American neighborhood.

"As usual, good stay due to location and service"
Went to Miami due to work. Stayed at JW Marriott Miami because it was next to the place where I will be holding meetings and working. The stay was, as usual, excellent. Good service and the personnel there was very attentive. That is why I like to stay in this hotel and will be there the next time that I have to go to Miami.
"Short but very nice stay"
The JW Marriott on Brickell was a really well appointed hotel. Everything from the lobby to our room was emaculately clean. The staff was very nice and helpful and the room was comfortable. Other than noisy neighbors at 4am, the stay was perfect!
"Shame about the poor service"
On arrival at the hotel I tried to order Champagne, Flowers and Chocolates but with no luck, Reception sent me to the Concierge, the Concierge told me to call room service and room service told me to speak to the Concierge, I finally got part of what I ordered, after complaining to room service, I received chocolate covered strawberries and fake Californian […] Sparkling wine. Affordable upscale hotel within walking distance of my meeting. Staff was friendly and helpful. La Terraza restaurant provides a decent variety for lunch.

el servicio no fue bueno.... pedi una silla de ruedas para mi esposo, desde que hice la reservacion y llame por telefono para confirmar este requerimiento, que estaba recien operado de la pierna ....pero no nos la proporcionaron hasta el ultimo dia y nos dieron una que no servia pues no tenia las partes para apollar el pie...... con mi esposo recien […] operado y mis 3 hijos pequenios y sin la silla de ruedas fue un poco dificil la logistica de movilizarse.......pense que por ser un buen hotel hibamos a tener por lo menos una silla de ruedas en buen estado. no volveria a este hotel.... nadie se disculpo y nadie le dio seguimiento...
