"Tired in need of a revamp!"
Hotel was in a good location, and as this was a Marriot I expected good things. Reception was quite dark and tired looking, staff were friendly but not very organised. Room was standard but hadn't been cleaned properly, with things broken as well as being boiling hot even with the aircon on cold. I ordered room service which was below average. Hummus […] had seen better days, and looked like it had been sat in a fridge for days, was freezing cold and so dry I could barely spread it. The hotel was really noisy, tired and needed some TLC. Also additional items added to my bill, which although were removed, left a bad impression. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Arrived early and parked in the adjacent multi storey car park. Reception team found us a room that was redy for us as we were an hour before check in time. Room was of a good standard, decor a bit dated compared to modern standards, no minibar in room either, but overall good standard. Bed wasn't to my liking as it was too soft but my girlfriend slept […] like a log. Used the gym and swimming pool, all areas clean and in good condition! Location of hotel is convenient, 5 minute walk to liverpool one shopping. Car parking rate was discounted which was ideal as we stayed until mid afternoon the following day to go shopping, will stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel all round!"
I don't usually fill these in but I was particularly impressed in this case. In some ways this is a standard hotel with all the standard fixtures. But the quality and cleanliness of each of those fixtures was outstanding, and the staff are lovely. I only marked the surrounding neighbourhood down because it's a bit grubby, but you're so close to the […] centre that it doesn't really matter! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"central for Liverpool city centre and dockside dev"
easy parking, warm welcome, comfortable room, excellent breakfast menuGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good location, expensive add-ons"
Nice and clean, central to shopping and dining. For the price of the rooms I find it amazing to have to pay for wi-fi in your room. Breakfast at 14.00 pounds! Really? Marriott UK should look at their US counterparts.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel, everything you would expect!"
Everything you'd expect from a Marriott - clean and comfortable, polite and helpful staff, decent food. 2 minute walk from the station - ideal location!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"tired and stuck in the 70s"
Well located once you work how to get there! and apart from the noice from the clubs. But this hotel is soooo tired. clean and neat but dreadful for a Marriott. No personality, carpet and furniture has not been updated since 1970. Pillows towels etc were not up to Marriott standards.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel for weekend break"

"No fridge in room that's shocking"
No fridge in room that's shocking I had a fridge in rural Australia 300km from a supermarket you don't get one hereGenuine Expedia guest review
"Shabby room - different from one booked."
Had we known we would be allocated such a disappointing room we would have chosen a different hotel. The room was not as described nor did it match the picture on the booking form. There was no promised garden view, no pillow menu, no sofa bed. The picture shows cheerful room with a bed made with bright cushions and a matching bedrunner - our bed did […] not have these. All we could see from the high window were roof tops and tree tops. The room was best described as 'tired' and the net curtains were grey. The furniture had seen better days. When we pointed out the differences to the receptionist she was dismissive and blamed Hotels.com for describing the room incorrectly. However the description on the hotel's own website matches that of the one on Hotels.com. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Karaoke till 4am"
Very good but rooms facing the town centre are subject to bars and clubs open till 4amGenuine Hotels.com guest review
If I could give more stars for the staff I would. Honestly some of the most pleasant and helpful I have come across. The mattress in our room was quite lumpy which I was surprised by. The shower curtain have off a smell of stagnant water that filled the room. A new mattress and washed shower curtain and I would have scored this hotel full marks.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Top class hotel and facilities good breakfast great location will stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Efficient check in, comfy bed and good quality linens. Room well insulated from the road noise. Pool not huge but big enough for a city centre hotel, good steam and sauna too. Very clean. Didn't eat here, only had a drink which was a bit pricey... would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We stayed just for the night. And we found it strange in this day and age that there was no WiFi or free breakfast. The next night we stayed at another hotel for half the price and it had these 2 things....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
As usual you can rely on Marriott for great beds and pillows, even though this one is due for a refurb. I left something in my room and they have been brilliant at getting it back to me.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
THE CURTIANS WERE HANGING OFF THE RAIL. SO NO BLACK OUTS. THE BEDSIDE LAMPSHADE WAS LOOSE. ONE OF THE HANDLES WERE OFF THE CUPBOARD, IT WAS A NICE BREAKFAST AND STAFF. WERE HELPFUL. BUT THOUGHT IT WAS EXPENCIVE FOR WHAT WE PAIDGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Ok but be wary of noise"
Great location for a city break. Clean, good size room and use of pool. Breakfast was excellent. Only downsize was the noise. Not from outside as that was ok but if they have a function on the noise is terrible. We were not told this and had to endure a wedding reception disco till 12.30am. Not great when you have been travelling and need wanted an […] early night ready for the early start next day. We did complain but they said they was nothing they could do :( Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"don't have the "Marriott burger""
The worst beef burger of my life was delivered by room service. Dreadful. I couldn't even comment on the taste because it was ash grilled (far beyond char grilled) on the outside and grey concrete on the inside (a perfect colour match and about the same hardness).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great overnight stay"

Nice n pleasant staff greeting us on arrival. Husband even got a birthday card from the hotel lol xGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Concierge and reception personel were great. Breakfast waitresses not very good, they need some training in customer services, also thay need to give customers some room, for some reason they were all the time trying to clear the table, to the point where you couldn't finish eating or you ended up without cuttlery.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel in convenient location. One minute walk to Cavern quarter and shops. Clean rooms, lovely welcome by receptionist. Great jacuzzi -really powerful and swimming pool very warm.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed there to go to the football. Would recommend it as a place to stay if you can decent deal. Excellent location as close to train station and shops. Nice leisure club and a really excellent breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a 4 star"
Great location but if this were a 3 star i would say it was excellent but we paid the price of a 4star and really it is only a nice 3 star. The breakfast was delicious though and plentiful and the staff very friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is the best hotel in Liverpool, nothing is ever to much trouble for the staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"nothing special, nothing horrendous either"
no mini bar in room and couldnt find a hairdryer. typical marriott, ok but nothing amazing. although the beds are great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ok for a weekend, but not great value for money."
Not up to standards you'd expect from a Marriott. Lots of small things - a broken window (wouldn't open and close properly) that they never managed to fix over two days, only 2 large towels per couple, breakfast a la carte took 1/2 to prepare but the waitress didn't tell us that so we couldn't make a considered choice (vs buffet), buffet was overpriced […] - learned later that there was a continental buffet option as well, but no one told us that either over 2 days). Finally, pet peeve, an outrageous charge for in-room wi fi. As we were on holiday it wasn't that important but I would never stay there for business without free wifi, particularly as most of marriotts competitors do offer it, along with most major department stores. Everybody was very nice and they took some things off the bill for all the inconveniences, which was the right thing to do, but really, they shouldn't have had too. Oh, and much of the carpeting was scruffy and needs replacing. And the parking was high too, considering the location. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"finding car park"
brilliant location for central liverpool, however finding car park entrance is a nightmare on liverpool one way circuit. just look for multistorey next door to hotel and dont forget validate ticket b4 you leave(£12 for approx 26 hr stay not bad)Genuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent hotel for business and pleasure"
Excellent hotel, great location, very central. Great service, easy check in. Only fault was that they could specify where the car park is, as it's within an affiliated multi-storey. The car park is a secure car park, and no problems, but not clear from their details.Genuine Expedia guest review
"ok, but not great value for money"
Great location if you're coming into Liverpool via Lime St station. The room was very clean and had a good view. I was told that I'd been allocated an 'executive room' but one of the fluorescent lights was constantly flickering on and off and the air jets weren't working in the bath. I enquired after wifi in my room and was quoted £15 for the day - […] I thought this was staggeringly expensive on top of a £189 room rate. I was also asked if I would like a newspaper in the morning; again this would be a separate charge on my bill. I was in Liverpool for one night only, and it happened to be the same night that the hotel was hosting a prom and a ball. The room walls weren't thick enough to drown out the sounds of the noisier after-party shenanigans unfortunately, but I slept well on the comfy bed.. until that is, the tv in my own room woke me up early the next morning. I had not set any alarms because I wanted to be able to sleep in, so I was not impressed to be woken up early against my will. It's an ok hotel but for that price I've stayed in much nicer, quieter hotels in other cities. A little bit more attention to detail would justify the room rates. "One time stay"
The room is not bad, the furniture is dated but its clean and the bed is comfortuble. The room without fridge or clock but there's TV and a movie shows and for the hair dryer you need to bring yours. The shower is terrible for me but my husband find it okay. The location of the hotel is good with a space for a car parking. Lastly the room is too hot […] at the night.
