"Nice hotel. Great Service."
I do love Kimpton hotels for their boutique-ness and this one is quaint. The hotel had afternoon drinks and snacks in the lobby, a large cow by the elevator and live fish in the rooms. I was a little disappointed with my room as the view was of the parking garage (and I mean looking directly at cars, not down on the top of a garage), the room was dark, […] odd shaped, and the walls paper thin. I even got a note under the door from a neighbor telling me that they could hear word for word my conversations. All this being said, I did not mention anything to the hotel staff who Im sure would have done something, but I was working and too busy to move rooms. The service at the hotel was great. I felt as if the staff would take care of anything for me. They printed pages when I was not able to use the business center, and helped look for someone who was picking me up. "Brief but nice stay"
4 of us spent 1 night in the Mediterranean Suite (arrived at midnight and left at 8am). 1 king bed - very comfortable, and pullout sofa was the only pullout I've ever been on that was as comfortable as a bed - and this was with 2 adults sleeping on it. Only hickey was that they staff didn't offer to make the pullout bed in our room - they brought us […] sheets but we had to make the bed ourselves (and we were tired from traveling). "Kudos to kimpton"
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Denver's Kimpton. The staff always make our stays flawless as we usually travel with a dog or two. You won over a my sister as a future patron. Thanks so much and keep up the good work! I can whole heartedly recommend all Kimpton Hotels in Chicago, Minneapolis, Portland, and Denver.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, good hotel"
Family of four, two rooms. The location is good for downtown Denver. Good coffee service in the mornings!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Booked through Expedia for a surprise in Downtown Denver on St. Patrick's day for my wife returning from a vaca in NYC. A bit pricey, but what I was expecting on St. Pat's day. I did NOT want to stay in a big name brand hotel, but was looking for an older, more eclectic place, and Hotel Monaco served it up! As is typical in downtown Denver, no onsite […] parking, but the valet parking was impeccable. As soon as I hit the turn signal to head for the curb to the front of the Hotel, the doorman was already in the street waiting to open my door and welcome me. We had reservations to the Keg restaurant, and they called mid afternoon the same day and said they had to cancel (Boo Them!) so I asked the checking staff if they had recommendations, and they of course said the hotel had a great restaurant (I just assumed that they are required to say that) and we went there for happy hour and had the most fabulous appetizers and selections of beers. My wife needs to go gluten-free so we always feel limited, but they had gluten free beer, wild boar salami pizza and OMG the fried brussel sprouts!!! After a quick bar nosh, we were surprised to find a free hosted wine hour in the art deco foyer!! The room was extremely clean, comfortable and each room comes with your own personal pet gold fish to keep you company. Room was very comfortable with fun cow themed bed cover and animal print bathrobes and complimentary yoga mat. We opted for breakfast room service and it was delisch! Hotel Monaco is a wonderful place! We had such a good time on our trip to Denver. It's 1.5 blocks from the 16th Street Mall and walking distance to many major venues. Hotel service was exceptional - they will even bring you a gold fish for your room! The food at Panzano was amazing. We will definitely stay at this property again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our trip was enjoyable, the location is great. We walked all over the downtown area, loved 16th street Mall. Our only complaint was that the sheets were 4 inches too short for the bed. We are a tall family so this was an issue for restful sleep. We really loved the historic building and individuality of the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was very conveniently located in the heard of downtown Denver. Within walking distance to the Convention Center, shops and many restaurants. Awesome service and rooms. Restaurant happy hour was great and the wine happy hour w/the free neck/shoulder massages was EVEN better. Kudos to Hotel Monaco for a job well done. My only complaint would […] be that they have no spa/pool. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Centrally located boutique"
Everything was 4 star quality. The staff was friendly, and all our needs were met.Genuine Expedia guest review
I was in Denver for a conference and the hotel was located conveniently close to the Convention Center and to a good number of dining spots. The regular rate is a little pricey but we got a deal which made this hotel's cost comparable to all the neighboring ones. I had a very nice breakfast at the hotel restaurant, didn't try any other meals there. […] Room service (for a late lunch and a 6.30pm diner) took less than 15min and was very tasty. "Little things matter"
Very nice hotel with great location. Unfortunately, our room was directly under the fitness room so the loud thumps were annoying. Not having a coffee maker in the room was a minor inconvience. Staff was excellent and the room well appointed and comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Haven't been to a Monaco in a while"
Was very nice. We opted out of the goldfish. :-) This is a nice hotel, nice location close to breweries, the shopping street, and touristy downtown sites. And looked like the restaurant was highly rated actually (though we went elsewhere). Room is on the cramped/smaller side, but is fine - fridge, food/bev options, nice soaps, etc. Was quiet too. great location, cool room, very comfy bedding with great pillows. Nice wine hour in the lobby and pet friendly. What more could I ask for?Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"not worth it"
Paid a lot to stay at this place and overall it was a complete waste. Restaurant closed at 10:00pm. Lobby service breakfast is coffee, small tiny to-go cups. Better breakfast available at the restaurant I suppose. Room is blazing hot, can do *nothing* to better it. Window is sealed shut, heat keeps coming on. Water temp in shower fluctuates up and down. "Hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed at"
This hotel is the best ever. Everyone is super friendly. The rooms are gorgeous! They offer a wine happy hour with free wine and apps from 5-6. you can also request a pet fish to keep in your room during your stay. We requested two!!! Also, the restaurant connected to the hotel is fabulous. They have a great happy hour deal on food and drinks. My girlfriend […] and I split about 5 dishes. Any city I go to visit in the future I will always be looking for Kimpton hotels. I was beyond impresses with everything! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Dog friendly, clean"
Nice room, no coffee pot though. Dog friendly which we loved. The down beds are unfortunately gone, which was one reason we booked there again, we miss those. Parking fee has increased to $33 a night which is unfortunate as well.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pricey, but fun for a splurge"
We took my son to Denver for his 11th birthday and wanted to stay at a hip hotel which is a splurge for us. The Monaco did not disappoint. All the employees were incredibly nice, they have a happy hour with free wine and cider, chair massages, live music and even a wii game console set up for kids. When you check in they give you the option of having […] a gold fish in your room for your stay. My kids loved that. The location can't be beat and they have valet, so you don't have to worry about parking, but it is $33/night. Plan accordingly. Wifi is also $12.99 per day, which I thought was terrible and did not pay for. At the prices charged for staying here, I think free wifi should definitely be included. The restaurant, Panzana, was wonderful, but also pricey. We had a great lunch there and room service one night, but chose to eat breakfast at a local cafe. I would definitely recommend at least one meal at Panzanos though. As for the room, it was quite small and the walls were very thin. The occupant of the room next to ours kept their tv on all night and we could hear everything. The bathroom was also very small. The hotel is in an old building and has lots of quirky charm. The staff was nicer than any other hotel I have ever stayed at. It was definitely worth the splurge. Thanks for making my son feel so welcome and celebrated. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good Downtown Location - Parking Not Included"
The hotel was very clean, modern looking, and comfortable. It's in a great location that is centrally located in the downtown area, close to major sporting venues, restaurants, bars, and public transportation. If you're driving here, parking is not included and can cost between $25 -$35 per day. The hotel charged me $33 for all day in/out valet service. […] The cost didn't bother me, but might be too much for some people. The area to the north of the hotel is called Five Points, and is a bit sketchy. It's an up and coming place, but probably not somewhere you'd want to walk around by yourself at night. There's lots of things within a short distance to the west and south, and the area around the hotel is very nice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to Performing Arts Center"
In addition to an excellent room and staff the restaurant in the hotel was exceptional.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Could not have had a better experience at Hotel Monaco. That was my first stay there and I'll have a hard time staying anywhere else when I go to Denver. The only exception was the parking. It's valet only basically for $33 a night, but even that is an awesome service that Hotel Monaco does well. It's worth the $33. Seriously, Excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very different and unique theme, maybe a bit weird, but it seemed to work for me. Bed was comfortable. Great location. Only things missing that you can find at any other hotel are a coffee maker and free bottled water.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I'm in the middle."
While the hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly, I didn't feel like the hotel was worth what we paid. The room felt like a room I could have stayed in at a cheaper hotel, but was comfortable. With the hotel being as kid-friendly as it is (We had a goldfish in our room!) the hotel restaurant didn't even have a kid's menu--you have to special […] order a plate of pasta with your choice of sauce, or choose from the very fancy menu, which my daughter wouldn't have eaten off of. The hotel's location was easy to find and we just had to pull over for the valet to take it from there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
first - the shampoo bottle contained lotion. after rubbing lotion in my hair, the front desk said "yeah, this has been happening a lot". She really didn't seem to care. It took about a dozen real shampoos to remove the oil. Perhaps you should check or replace your entire inventory of mini shampoo bottles. Second, i left my glasses (prescription eye […] glasses) in a sunglass case in my car. I realized this 10 minutes after letting the valet take it away. So i called and had my car brought back up. They were already lifted. Seems it must have been the valet. Ridiculous all around. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Really excellent hotel experience"
This is def on the top of our lists for best hotel experiences. Great staff, lovely rooms (bathrooms are a bit small and outdated), excellent bar & restaurant attached and top notch room service. Also, the bicycles they have to use made our visit extra special as there are endless miles of paved river trails just blocks away and tons of destinations. "Beautiful, Clean with spectacular restaurant!"
Wonderful surprise in downtown Denver! I hadn't tried a klimpton hotel before and the Hotel Monaco was an excellent choice for us. Gorgeous lobby where they hold a wine reception in the evenings and beautiful rooms. We stayed in a Monte Carlo suite and were not disappointed. Spotless and classy just as we had hoped. Quirky, fun decorating throughout […] the hotel adds a youthful feel. Best asset is the spectacular attached restaurant, Panzano! It is not to be missed! The eggs Benedict from their room service option was the best I've ever eaten... And it was ROOM SERVICE! Dining in offers a happy hour with small plates from their regular menu giving you the chance to try it all. They have a creative, interesting menu that makes it hard to choose a favorite but dining there during your stay at Hotel Monaco is not optional and was a huge part of our enjoyment of our stay! My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay here. Our dog was so welcome here and got to see plenty of other furry friends. The best thing is this hotel is so well-kept and clean that the dogs add to the charm, not make it feel dirty. The complimentary chair massage along with happy hour was amazing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Noisy as if there were no walls between rooms. No coffee/tea in the room, must come down to the main lobby. Overall I felt it was a bit too expensive. You pay a lot for the location.
