"Room and service"

it was a short stay. There was nowhere decent to eat.Genuine Expedia guest review
I didn't have any complaints, but wasn't blown away either. It was an average mid-quality hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
When booking Boomtown we pretty much new what to expect. The room was in fine shape but it wasn't anything special. If it was it would have cost a lot more. The location was convenient on the way in and out, but there is literally nothing else around the hotel. Our room smelled very little like smoke for a Nevada hotel/ casino. The one thing that was […] disappointing was that there was some kind of brown gunk on the remote that grossed me out. The price was excellent and overall we were happy with our decision to stay there instead of camping in the high sierras (which would have cost about the same per night) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cheap to stay but filth to stay overnight."
King bed is awesome huge yet the bed was in bad condition. It's like someone who is big and stayed too long with bed. I found sandwich saran-wrap in between the sheet. Disappointed with their service. When we are ready to leave in the morning, no one was there at consumer desk. I waited so long that I had to threw the room keys away and leave.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the hotel was old, smelly and out of the way of surrounding area activities.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"convenient to restaurants casino"

"Forgot to mention the pool was closed."
Hotel room was awesome. We stayed in the north tower which is newer and room was great. We were disappointed that the pool was closed and most of the eating places were closed early. The fun zone for the kids was great. Over stay was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quiet and the bed was very comfortable:)"
Good experience. Quiet and comfortable bed, clean room.Genuine Expedia guest review
I will never stay at Boomtown again. Our hotel room was disgusting. The ceiling had water damage and looked like it was about to cave in. The room looked dirty and run down. The room was way too expensive considering the poor quality.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed in the older tower. We booked on expedia and arrived around 10:30 pm. Condition of the hotel is fair at best. Did not feel safe. Did not want to walk around barefoot in the room. Overall poor experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"close to lake I fished"
Very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good place to stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
3rd floor appears to be virtually forgotten by the hotel. Maybe that explains the fantastic price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My grandson and I stayed here because we were shopping at Cabela's, next door. Very disappointed in the food options. 2 cups of coffee at Peets was almost $8.00. The Bistro was way out of our price range. Room was clean. Check in was fast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"My only visit"
Not impressed...technician did help with wifi issue...my room was the furthest possible from the elevator. Even tho there were rooms available closer. I did not gamble. I did not eat there .. Unfriendly check in...I will not return, nor recommend this dump.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Checked in by pleasant front desk agent. Entered room, surprised by dinginess of carpet, darkness of room. Sticky table in corner, window looked out into semi-enclosed, dark courtyard like area overlooking non-functioning pool. A/C was about 80 rattling decibels. Light bulb burned out on bedside lamp. Worst of all was broken toilet! Had to take lid […] off commode and fiddle around w/the workings to get it to actually flush! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
just an overnight stay. Very little to offer by way of food.Genuine Expedia guest review
"nice room for price"
Same boomtown. I like some of the recent upgrades. Husband and I came up for a quick overnight trip. The stay wad relaxing and the cost was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good Concert - Bad Room"
The room was like a bad motel room, stains on the carpet, wallpaper peeling, the return vent for air conditioning looked like it had never been cleaned, lamp shades stained, 1990-ish tube TV with only about 12 channels (most of which no one would want to watch), a mini-fridge that had not been turned on prior to our arrival and was not fully cold the […] next day when we checked out, a bathroom so small that you couldn't open the door all the way because it hit the tub/shower, a window that looked at the roof and another tower of the hotel and that opened all the way because the safety catch was broken - very, very poor for $. The buffet was good, the concert was good - the room and some of the service left a lot to be desired. We will never stay there again. A warning to all, do not stay in the North Tower. Great for overnight stay. Very comfortable.we didn't have enough time to enjoy the restaurants.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel with friendly staff"
Our experience at the hotel was wonderful. Their prices allow a last minute get-away possible and the staff was friendly and accomodating. We will stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good place to stay"
Enjoyed the stay, accommodations were very nice and staff was very helpful. Could not beat the price for the amenities. Nice location outside of Reno, but close enough to get there quickly. I would recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No hot water in morning"
Most things were fine until we were trying to leave and found there was no hot water. While the operator on the phone was pleasant enough, her suggestion (shower at the local KOA) seemed useless. The front desk clerks did not seem to care at all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Who need hot water?"
The hotel was fine but in the morning there was no hot water which things happen I do understand that but when I told the person at the front counter they did not even offer a sorry or anything which is what I thought was the most upsetting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good stay, Staff was friendly and the Hotel was clean and had a safe and comfortable feelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Can't beat the mid-week room rates"
My wife and I spent a few off-peak nights at Boomtown while we were house-hunting around the Reno/Sparks / Carson City / Fallon area. The free in-room wi-fi was a bust. The signal was extremely weak, and all connection attempts just timed out, and the front desk was no help -- so we wound up spending a lot of time at Starbucks in Reno to use their wifi. […] The buffet wasn't open during the week. The swimming pool was empty all week, although they didn't seem to be working on it. The King size bed was more like a trampoline than a bed. The staff was friendly. The coffee from Pete's next to the elevator was great. The hotel made an effective forward operating base, for the three days it took for us to settle on a house in Fernley. I doubt we'll go back to Boomtown, but we will be nearby when we make trips to Cabela's across the parking lot from them. Biggest positive: mid-week rates were dirt-cheap. "Nice hotel, average room"
The room is old and could use a renovation. The hotel overall was nice, with a good bistro restaurant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, clean hotel and casino."
Nice hotel and kind of your only option since it's in the middle of no where. The entire hotel smells like the Lobster Buffet that they have, which wasn't pleasing. Barely any near-by food places, but I would recommend Abel's Mexican Cuisine. The casino isn't very lively, primarily older people with a low variety of games. The gift shop/convenience […] store inside the casino has everything from liquor to pain/sleep aids and gifts. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Rude staff in most all departments. One person, (at Peet's Coffee) even went so far as to cup her hands around her face to avoid having to acknowledge me. Heard several employees all talking about finding other jobs, in front of guests. Food options are very limited and dissapointing. Bed was comfortable, room decor very dated. Still can't figure out […] what the $6 resort fee is for as I didn't find anything commonly associated with a "resort" Never again. Trust me. I really don't like giving bad reviews. I do try to find what was good about the stay... I can't find it in this one. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

my only main thing I was not very happy with was there was not enought places to eat dinner at a reasonable prices unless you want dinner before 4 p.m. and if you come in after 4 you are either coing to have cold sadwhiches, hot dogs or make a high price for dinner. everything else was good and we were very satisfied will most likely stay here agai […] n. "Good for a quick stay"
Spent one night in Boomtown when passing through Reno. The hotel is very old, but clean and decent for the price. This hotel is about 10 miles outside of Reno and is a typical small casino type hotel that are common in the area. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. For the price, you probably can't go wrong. One warning --- since […] this is a casino hotel, you won't be able to avoid cigarette smoke, but the room itself was fine. "That's Vur-dye; smile when you say that, Mister."
I'm no Casino fan but a really nice room at a great price in an area where I don't have to worry about my vehicle covers everything I'm looking for when traveling for business. Add to it very nice folks, good food, a choice of bars and Led Zepplin's "Down By The Seaside" as background music and I'm there! Just don't call it Verdi, Giuseppe!Genuine Expedia guest review
"boomtownhotel king bed . Not theRitz, but was fine."
The Kingbed was fine. It was comfortable and the room was clean. We didn't eat there so I don't know how the food was.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Old, old, will never stay again"
South tower old and ugly. Non-smoking rooms smell like smoke. Housekeeping did not do a good job of cleaning room. Found used drinks in refrigerator from previous guests. Hair on toilet. Corn nuts found on floor from previous guest. Front desk customer service not good. I was standing in line to be helped and the clerk went out of his way to pull someone […] from club card line instead of helping me. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to I-80 and Cabelas"
This is okay for an overnight stay. Obvious that the Casino area is the only concern for Boomtown. Swimming pool was dry and WiFi was very limited. Room was adequate for the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel close without being right in town"
Overall ok stay. Should have been told that north tower was remodeled, not south tower especially the cost. Room was not cleaned until after 2:00pm but staff as helpfulGenuine Expedia guest review
"Unfriendly service and dirty room"
When we checked in the man at the front desk was busy chatting with his friends about what they had done on their day off and did not give important information such as check out, etc. I found the button the toilet did not make the toilet flush. So my husband worked on it and got the toilet to flush. But he said that it was an on-going problem, he had […] to keep fixing. The blow dryer was broken. When we pulled down the sheets at 10:00pm the sheets were dirty and so we had to call downstairs. The front desk told me they were really busy so it would be awhile. They finally came up with sheets for the bed. I would not recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We needed an affordable place just to sleep. We were traveling through and with expedia i was able to book the same day for a great price.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable and affordable!"
We made a quick decision to spend our anniversary in the Reno area and discovered Boomtown hotel and casino an option to the busy downtown experience. We enjoy playing slots and was pleased with the variety and number of machines there. Our room in the south tower had positive and negative aspects. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the […] room was large overlooking the indoor pool, which was empty of water in late June. To bad for anyone who wanted to take a refreshing swim or let the children play. The food in the steakhouse was very good along with the service. The staff was very friendly and grounds well kept. The south tower rooms are in need of some serious maintenance though. More on that is below. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
It has been awhile since I have been to boomtown, but let me tell you very dissapointing. The boomtown hotel casino needs a remodel very bad. It is very out dated and rooms are pretty run down. The price was good but the facility just looked old. They had a nice pool but it was closed and not available????Genuine Expedia guest review
