We were expecting to be able to access the beach from the hotel but when we got there we were told we had to walk down the street because of the turtles. Also the hotel was very old and needs a lot of work. The staff was very nice and tried to accommodate us.

This place is in major disrepair. The second floor outside walk way has many sections of crumbling concrete with old rusted rebar exposed. Rotting boards every where you look. My first room had a terrible odor and my second room had a faulty ac unit. The restaraunt had many roof leaks so there were buckets setting arounf to catch rain water. No beach […] access at all. The stairs lesding to the beach from the pool deck are removed with caution tape wrapped all around the gate. Rooms have tile floors that sweat really bad and are always damp. Had to go to the front desk twice for wash cloths and hand towels cause the cleaning service didn't leave any in my room. No cable when we fist checked in. That was repaird a few hours later. When I remarked about the visual repairs need upon check in. I was told a couple of guys from Miami recently purchased the property from a family owned situation. Personally, it needs to be leveled and a high rise condo put up in its place. I'm sure the lot is worth much more than the building. I would never stay there again. Read more

To be fair I found only 2 but it was on the first day of my stay. I was with a group so i couldn't switch hotels. The rooms are long past their usefulness period. There was what looked like a fist sized hole in the bathtub, along with various other holes. It really was THAT BAD. The staff were pleasant.

The room was bare bones. No coffee maker. TV did not work. The bathroom was very dirty with mold in the grout. Dirty tile floor throughout entire room. Keep slippers or socks on! An older establishment, that does need a little TLC, but very quaint, location is excellent, views are unbeatable, the staff very friendly and helpful, the food and service excellent. Glad to see new owners take this place and give it what it deserves, very enjoyable and wish we could have stayed longer.

This hotel was very unclean, the outside locks on the doors barely worked. We had two rooms and the toilet didn't flush in one room, bath tub didn't have a stopper, the TV didn't work in the other room. The in-room safes are rusted and don't have locks. Great location and safe neighborhood. The hotel and the rooms needs improvement (the room didn't have a refrigerator, blow-dryer, or coffee maker). Room was clean with a beautiful view of the ocean. Meals were good. The staff was very helpful and nice. The hotel is older and could use some TLC however we had an enjoyable week and would stay again. The only disappointment was the stairs to the beach were not fixed yet.

Horrible! The door to the hotel room leads directly to the outside, and the lock was broken! I was in fear for my safety. The window did not lock, and had no screen, so anyone could just walk in through the window in the middle of the night.The stairs that lead to the upper rooms are broken, loose, and dangerous!There was mold everywhere in the room, […] and I'm allergic to mold. The only window to the room had a large crack in it, as though something violent happened there. They had a broken door on the vanity sink in the bathroom. The steps that lead to the beach were broken, so we had to walk two blocks down the street to get to the beach.They "ran out of clean towels", so we couldn't take a shower. They did not have a bathtub shower, only a tiny plastic shower stall that was moldy. It was very dark in the room.The sheets on the beds are old, worn, stained, and loosely tucked in, sketchy. They had brown, water-leak stains in the ceiling.No oceanfront view out our broken window, only the parking lot. The worst thing was, this hotel was non-refundable, so I could not get my money back! I loved staying at this ocean front hotel. The bar and restaurant were especially great. The room was adequate but nothing special. The special value for me was not having to drive to get to a nice place to eat - which is the more common situation staying right on the beach here. This Inn is only good for its location, the beach. But you can't even enter it from hotel becouse the stairs are gone, you have to walk to the public beach. The rooms are smelly, bathroom tiles falling off and shower full of mildew. No hand towels, wash cloths, floor towels and sometimes short on clean regular towels. Went into room and it was not completly ready no bed linens, towels, soiled blanket.Went back to office and was told waiting for truck to arrive with clean linens. Dirty - dirty - dirty. This place is a dump. It appears that the owners want to knock it down and build condos (like the rest of the neighborhood) so they are not spending a penny on upkeep. There is no access to the beach because the wooden stairs were washed away in a hurricane more than six months ago.

I understand that sometimes things break at inconvenient times but this after several instances I must conclude that the hotel is not well maintained. We arrived for a three night stay and were informed that the lock system was not working and that the staff would need to let us in every time we left then returned to the hotel. We asked a staff member to ensure our door was locked before leaving for a day excursion and returned to find our door was unlocked. On our last morning the hotel lost hot water and so we had to choose between a cold shower or going without.
