Bad bed bug experience
We got bed bugs while staying here and the situation was not handled satisfactorily at all. No portion of our stay was comped even after we informed them of the extreme hassle it caused: costing us an additional 70 euros to wash all our luggage and a lost day in rome. Not only was getting bed bugs a horrible experience to go through but the way the hotel handled the problem was not acceptable, and they still have not responded to us. I do not recommend staying here.

Close to public transportation (bus, train, city transport). Felt safe once inside, but neighborhood not great.

We were within walking distance from the train station. The room was clean, large and so comfortable. We were very pleasantly surprised. Some of the area around the hotel made us question our choice as we walked but we certainly recommend this hotel to everyone. The breakfast which was included was very good, with lots of choices. Everything was fresh ?

YES. Great Hotel without hesitation.
It's not the GRAND LUXE, however and in my opinion it is the best in terms of Quality vs price. Quit fair for what you pay. Almost everything is OK. Besides, the hotel has a central position in Marseille and thus close to almost everything + metro and tramway stations in the immediate vicinity. It is at least the fifth time I stay in this hotel. beds are comfortable. Rooms are clean. windows are soundproof. Drawbacks: 1- Eachtime: Sink little bit stinky (yet easy to deal with chemical detergent largely available on markets. Hotel does not seam to care about this issue) 2- Lift not enough large (max two persons). May not suit for people with special needs. 3- the passing time of the cleaning staff has bothered me during last stay (between 13.00 and 14.00) werease it should be best between 09.00 and 12.00 in my opinion. Wish Hotel manager read this: 13.00-14.00 is best for rooms to be left. Conclusion: despite everything, I would come back to that same hotel with no hesitation if ever I have to go to Marseille once again.

Bed bugs!
The room was tiny, which is fine since we are on vacation and don't need to be in a hotel room all day - but it was TINY - there was just enough room for the double bed and a desk and that was it. The bed was way too soft, my boyfriend and I ended up sinking in the middle, which sounds better than it was. The shower was awesome though - good pressure and HOT water. The worst part - BED BUGS - I have about 10 bites all over my body right now - my face, neck arms and legs. They were very sympathetic and moved us and gave us free breakfast. unfortunately, it wasn't something we would have eaten anyways, so we grabbed some oranges and that was it. At the end of the day, my cheek and jaw line is swollen and I have these huge welts all over my body. Not great - I could definitely do without. While the hotel is located in close proximity to everything, it's also right near some cafes where people are sitting out day and night. The air in the room didn't work, or didn't seem to work, and if we left the window open to get some air, the noise from the street would keep us up all night long. Be prepared to be up if you're a light sleeper.
