"close to sights/shopping"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We loved it - great location, staff and breakfast. Lovely, large second floor room.
"Nice Place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Hotel was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was free in the lobby. It was a short walk from where the airport bus dropped us off and shopping/restaurants. Most of the tourist spots are a bit farther, but still very walkable.
"Good Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Ardmore is a clean, modern hotel that has power showers and staff that are friendly. The food served is well prepared and affordable. For the money it can't be beat, but if you want nice pillows, soft towels& cozy bedding then you should spend the extra money to get them. Those of us who prefer value over the little "extras" would love this hotel. The 15 minute bus ride into downtown wasn't bad unless you JUST missed the bus and have to wait another twenty minutes to get on. It is a great location for a first night into Dublin or your last because it is only 15 minutes to the airport!
"Wonderful hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The westbury is a great hotel, very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to Dublin soon!

"Adjacent to Trinity College"
Very nice hotel. Easy to get to using public transportation. Across the street from Trinity College. Friendly staff. "Interesting" motif--Cairo. Unusal lobby seating--unique, but good.

"Nice hotel."
Nice hotel. Staff was most accomodating. The room was cleaned very well. It was quiet the entire stay.
"Trinity Capital Hotel"
Excellent hotel! Front desk service was fantastic. They were always polite, professional and ready to help! I was very impressed. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was no air conditioning and the room was very warm, I had to open the window to cool it down, which was not a problem, but the fire house was right next door. There was […] a bit of noise from the station but not over whelming. If you are a lite sleeper this is not the place for you if you like the window open. The pub downstairs was perfect! Good food, great guinness and not loud! Will stay here again! Read more
"Twin room tooooooo small!!!!"
I've stayed in small hotels, from Boston, New York, Paris, Florence, etc. This was the smallest. To give you an idea, this room had no Closet, and no chest of drawers. Behind the headboard on either side there was about a 1 1/2 foot gap by about 1 1/2 foot deep. On one side was a bar that you could hang maybe two jackets, because they had an ironing […] board there taking up the rest of the room. On the other side were four open cubby holes to layout your shirts and under garments. This means your luggage is out next to your bed. Two adults in this room is just way to crowded. On a positive note, the staff was great. Helpful, courteous and pleasant. The room and bathroom were clean, and the location was great. Out of the noise from Temple Street, but only a short 7 minute walk. Also, only a five minute walk to Grofton Street shopping and Trinity College. If it was just me, it would have been fine. But, two people the room was too small. Read more

"Trinity Capital in Dublin - They got us in early"
Our flight from Boston arrived in at 4:20 a.m. We arrived at Trinity Capital with the assumption that we would check our bags in at the front desk and walk around for the next nine hours until check-in time. When we asked if we could leave our bags with them while we waited for check-in, the woman behind the desk said that maybe she could find a room […] for us. Sure enough, she got us a room more than eight hours before check-in. The ability to take a nap first thing made a great start to our vacation. I'll note that it was January, and thus off season, but it was a nice surprise nonetheless. The staff was very nice, as was the bar, with unique decor throughout the hotel. Its location is in the heart of the city and getting just about anywhere in the city center couldn't be easier. Read more

very good hotel, even gave us an upgrade when we arrived, room was fabulous
"Central location without the noise"
Tucked on a one-way street without the bar noise, but well within walking distance of the noise and fun! We loved this hotel, and wished I could have booked here for all our nights in Dublin. This hotel is close to Grafton Street, Trinity College, Temple Bar, and everything, but the noise is minimal. We stayed in several places in Dublin, and this was […] by far the best. Breakfast is pricey, and one of the waitresses had some issues with being nice, but overall, a fantastic stay. Great bar downstairs too! This is where I will stay when I come back to Dublin! Thanks to Lisa and the front desk staff for being so fantastic to us! Read more
"Good Deal"
Price was right, location was convenient. I was worried that it would be noisy because it is next to the central fire station. I guess they don't have many fires, because I didn't hear any sirens in 4 days at the hotel. The decor is a little tacky, but the upside overshadowed this. I didn't have breakfast there. 15 Euros for the buffet is a little high. […] With all the great eateries nearby, I didn't see any reason to stay in. Read more
in a busy area so a lot of street noise. Unique decor. Good restaurant.
Great location,very clean and convenient.
"little jem"
very original furniture, friendly atmosphere, good locatio, will definately return.
"Dublin's Trinity Capital Hotel - a great value"
A quiet, well-located hotel with an extremely helpful staff. It's within easy walking distance of the AirExpress bus stop, the front gates of Trinity, the river and Grafton Street. It was a good base for my first trip to Dublin.
"Ecclectic and convenient"
Very unique and comfortable. Walking distance to St. Stephen's Green and Temple Bar. Right across the street from Trinity College, but I wouldn't walk those streets alone at night! Excellent experience!
"Trinity Capital Hotel"
The dark colors in this hotel were depressing- especially the halls and our room. Staff was not very friendly even though we stayed there for 7 days. The location was good.

"Love the decor!"
I recently stayed at Trinity Capital while I was on a business trip to Dublin (which I extended for a couple days of sightseeing). I've been to Dublin several other times, but this was my first stay at Trinity Capital. I absolutely loved it and will definitely be making a return! Compared to rooms at many other hotels in the City Center, these were […] very spacious and very well appointed! The decor of the hotel is so unique! The location was so convenient to everything, I was able to walk everywhere. I was traveling alone and felt perfectly safe walking by myself to and from the hotel at night. It's also convenient to one of the Airlink stops so you can take the bus to and from the airport for only 6 Euro one-way or 10 Euro round trip (definitely beats the 36 Euro for a taxi!). I was very happy with my stay and will definitely book it again when I return to Dublin! Read more
"The rooms on the West Side of Hotel get HOT!"
This is a really excellent hotel with an excellent price. However, if it's sunny (not very often) the windows that face the sunset (west) can overheat. Staff offered fans but the windows open only a very small amount. Our room retained the heat practically all night. I am sure the rooms on the other side of the hall were fine so try to get a room that […] has windows facing East! Read more
"Trinity Capital--tolerable, not great"
Tiny room, terrible shower, decent location. Not bad, not great.
The hotel was beautiful! Lots of atmosphere! The restaurant was very good also. The staff was very kind and helpful. The location was very convenient to local attractions even tho' a bit noisy due to the firehouse nearby. I would definitely stay there again!
"Trinity Capital Hotel Dublin"
A great location for visiting Dublin on foot, but bring your tollerance for funk into this most unusually decorated place. I realy don't care so much what a hotel looks like as long as it is clean, well located and appropriately priced. This property gets the over-the-top prize for its decor though. I felt like I had walked onto the set of the movie […] Moulin Rouge. or Alice in Wonderland Purple everywhere, oversized chairs in the foyer, and quite an eclectic collection of objects de arte. Mirrors on the guest room doors line the hallways. We read somewhere that there were airconditioned rooms in part of the htel. We certainly didn't have one of those and instead spent the nights listening to the ACs that cooled the firehouse outside our room. The room was clean as was the oversized bathroom, but the shower left a lot to be desired in tempreture and water flow. I took a bath the first night, so didn't realize how poor the shower was - otherwise I would have asked to move to a room with a better shower. Our joke was that Uncle Randolph as his 85 year old prostate could produce a better flow. Given the numbers of tour bus guests we saw moving through th lobbies, this must have been an isolated problem. I did feel the buffet breakfast could have been better for the money charged. It had all the elements of a typical Irish breakfast, but the food was institutional in appearance and taste. The service was minimal once we got our pot of tea. Read more
"Great Location, Old Building"
The location of the hotel is perfect, less than a block from where the Airlink bus picks up / drops off for Edinburgh Airport. As this hotel is an older building, there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. However, it's important to note that my husband and I stayed in this hotel at the end of June and the weather was quite comfortable. Although, since we had to […] keep the windows open for cool air, we found the traffic quite noisy. Read more

"Nice Location, Bad Hotel"
The hotel is in a nice location relative to the Temple Bar District besides that there is not a lot to recommend this hotel. The sink in the bathroom sprayed water all over anyone standing in front of it when the water was turned on. We told the front desk but in two days it was never fixed. The safe in the room would not open and we had to get maintenance […] to open it for us. Read more
"Nice hotel on extremely busy intersection"
It's a little hard to not recommend this hotel, but because it was so hard to cross the street to get over to the front of Trinity College, I would recommend staying somewhere else. There was a pedestrian button to press, but it took forever to cross anyway. Our room was facing the front of the hotel, but despite being on the very busy road, the room […] was fairly quiet. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom tiles a little broken, but still spotlessly clean. The desk help was very friendly and helpful Read more
"Trinity Capital Hotel adjacent to Trinity College"
Curiously constructed around a fire house, the hotel has a wonderfully eclectic style, good breakfast buffet, comfortable bar and pleasant service. It is right next door to Trinity College -- where Queen Elizabeth examined the Book of Kells, and President Obama held his concert -- and an easy walk to the Temple Bar district, St. Patrick and Christ Church […] cathedrals, and thence the Guinness Storehouse (sin, repent and sin again at a pleasant stroll). Exceptionally clean; helpful staff; excellent location. I would certainly stay here again.
"Quirky, convenient hotel"
This Dublin hotel is more than convenient to walk to many of the city's sights. It's a five minute walk to find one of the many on/off stops for the city bus tour. It is the same distance to the Aircoach transport to and from the airport at seven Euros per person. The hotel's lobby has to have some of the quirkiest furniture I've ever seen. It is simply […] fun to check out and sit on. The room are spacious but dark, as are the hallways. I had a room facing the inner courtyard and discovered that there is a fire station situated there. I was never awakened by any sirens, but they can be a bit noisy working with their machinery during the day. Read more

"Trinity Capital Hotel - Great hotel and location"
Trinity Capital Hotel was an outstanding place to stay while visiting Dublin. The Staff was friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel was excellent. You are within walking distance of dozens of restaurants, pubs and shopping. The rooms were a little small but everything in the hotel is decorated quite well and it is well worth the price. I […] would definitely recommend this hotel to others who are staying in the area. Read more
"Best lobby ever, great style, good location"
The lobby looked like something out of a movie set that would star Johnny Depp. No, not Pirates of the Caribbean...something dark, but stylish. Both evenings we grabbed a drink at the bar and relaxed in the Lobby. Big oversized chairs, dark tapestries with Egyptian/Berber style statues and sculpture...the place is really cool! Although more toned down, […] the rooms follow the same style. Location was spot-on for tourism and fortunately was a close walk to my business as well. I highly recommend this hotel. Staff very nice as well. Didn't eat here. Read more
"Trinity Capital - Dublin"
We had a good experience with this hotel. We arrived in the early morning and they were able to accomodate an early check in for us without a problem. The staff was helpful and the hotel was nice. The decor is quite ecclectic, but it was a good experience.

"Book this hotel for sure"
This hotel is perfect. It is across the street from Trinity College and walking distance from all the other sights. You can take the Aircoach to/from the airport as inexpensive travel. The stop is a few minutes walk to hotel - very easy. The room was like an American hotel room. I was traveling alone. It was a large shower and large bed. The curtains […] are very thick and keep out all light. . The decor at the hotel is very unique and pretty. The main floor is large with lots of seating and nice lobby and staff. There is a restaurant and bar inside the hotel. Both are great. Internet is free in the lobby, and whole Ground Floor. Everything is nice and new. I very highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely stay here again. Some other have mentioned noise from the Fire House. I did not hear noise from this at all. Read more
"Almost a great hotel"
Very clean, comfortable hotel with an elegant foyer and clean comfortable rooms. When I first checked in I was a bit dismayed to receive a smoking room - but I couldn't smell anything, so didn't complain. All and all a very good hotel, especially at the rate I paid. They could go a step further however and become great - adding a minibar would be nice, […] especially having bottled water available as the grocery across the street is not open late. They could also have more food options available in the two bars - and they seemed a bit put off by my request for a sandwich after my evening arrival. Bar downstairs had no snacks, but to their great credit, the barman found me some crisps. All in all, a super-helpful staff. An excellent all-around option based upon price, location and comfort. "don't pick this hotel for the view"
Overall, the hotel room and service were fine. However, the view from my room was 70% brick wall and 30% fire station. Fortunately, there were no fires on the one night I stayed there, but I imagine it could be a big distraction.
The hotel was located in the centre of Dublin and also near the hub of any kind of bus/Dart service. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The room was small but adequate as all one does is go there to sleep and clean up. If you are spending holiday in the hotel room get a large one a few miles down the road from home! The staff were friendly and the […] decor was unique. If looking for the comforts and features of a large chain hotel then stay in a large chain hotel. This hotel added to the charm of the Dublin city centre. Read more
