"close to sights/shopping"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We loved it - great location, staff and breakfast. Lovely, large second floor room.
"Nice Place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Hotel was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was free in the lobby. It was a short walk from where the airport bus dropped us off and shopping/restaurants. Most of the tourist spots are a bit farther, but still very walkable.
"Good Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Ardmore is a clean, modern hotel that has power showers and staff that are friendly. The food served is well prepared and affordable. For the money it can't be beat, but if you want nice pillows, soft towels& cozy bedding then you should spend the extra money to get them. Those of us who prefer value over the little "extras" would love this hotel. The 15 minute bus ride into downtown wasn't bad unless you JUST missed the bus and have to wait another twenty minutes to get on. It is a great location for a first night into Dublin or your last because it is only 15 minutes to the airport!
"Wonderful hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The westbury is a great hotel, very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to Dublin soon!

"Ok stay but not as amazing as I expected"
I was very excited about staying at the Clontarf Castle and found myself somewhat disappointed with it. I was actually wishing I had just stayed at my cheaper hotel in the city of Dublin another night. We decided to spend out last night at the castle for a special night, and I just didn't think it was worth it. Clontarf's staff was fabulous, and the […] hotel was very nice. It just didn't have the wow factor for me that I expected it to have. So, all in all it was a nice hotel. No complaints-just not as great as I thought it would be. Read more
"Your own Castle close to Dublin town / Airport"
I only spent one night in this hotel, but it had a feel of History, and yet in the rooms a contrast of modern feel with an old coat of arms.... When you arrive you can be nothing but surprised to find such a gem, it was more than I expected and did not let me down. Team and service were great, friendly and not rushed, food was very well presented and […] flavoursome. I would recommend this Castle / hotel to all, businessmen and couples alike. On my next visit to Dublin I will be stopping here again for sure…. Read more
"Great Place!"
One of the best hotels ive ever stayed in. We came for St. Pattys day weekend and the staff was so helpful and explained everything that would be going on, where to catch the bus into the city center, where to see the parade where to eat, etc. A little pricey, but totally worth it for the comfort and hospitality.
Hotel was fantastic and clean, definetly a unique experience staying in a castle! A little way from downtown but close to all bus routes. Hotel staff was very helpful.
"Hotel with charm and atmosphere"
This hotel has done a great job at retaining the old world charm of the castle while offering comfortable modern accommodation. The staff on the reception desk were very efficient and helpful. The drinks and food bars were quite pricey and the service a little slow but other than that it was all very good.
"Clontarf Hotel"
Staff in the hotel were very helpful throughout the stay in Dublin. The hotel sits in a beautiful residential area of Dublin and only a short walk down to the promenade with beautiful view across the bay. There is a good bus service between the hotel and city centre that takes the stress out of travelling into the city by car. Food is good in the restaurant […] and the castle background music very relaxing. Overall, it is a nice place to stay when visiting the city. Read more
"Clontarf Castle"
Beaufiful hotel with lovely staff. We were at a wedding there and everything was prefect. The only down fall was the cold in our room. It was freezing we went and asked the staff to put on the heat but unfortanetly the room didn't seem any warmer. All in all though a great stay.
"Clontarf Castle Hotel"
Staff very obliging. When we arrived I noticed that there was only one bath towel in the bathroom. I rang reception to request another towel (as there was two of us sharing the room) and less than 5 minutes later there was a knock on the door with more (and warm) towels. Breakfast was lovely. We did not have it included in our package and we were delighted […] to discover that it was only €10 extra for breakfast per person. The rooms were soo quiet. did not her a thing (despite a black tie ball on in the hotel that night) Read more

"Gorgeous hotel"
I booked this hotel as it was supposed to be close to the Ferryport. The comfort, cleanliness and uniqueness of the hotel made up for the location.

"Incredible Experience"
The Clontarf is a wonderful historic venue which was fully renovated several years ago into a stunning hotel. This is an excellent value and wonderful location. The bars are fabulous and bustling with nightlife. An experience you will not soon forget.

"Nice Hotel but issues with staff"
Nice hotel but unhelpful and inefficient staff especially lady on reception. Was given a room over the car park which was very noisy. Heard someone being sick in the early hours of the morning and when we checked out there was vomit in the corridor. Unaccompanied children were allowed to play in the elevators. Hotel has the potential to be a very nice […] 4 star hotel if the staff paying more attention to what is going on. Read more
"Good & Bad"
The hotel building was lovely, room a little small might be worth an upgrade to better room style. Disappointed the main restaurant closed early due to low number leaving only bar food, very disappointed at this as location of hotel means you have to travel for food so for a short stay or mid week break this was not convienient The fire alarm at 6.30 […] was not a dilighter! "Lovely Venue"
Fabulous building, small but comfortable room, restaurant closes early if volumes are low which really restricts food choice resulting in you being force to select bar food. Also.disappointed by the fact that the fire alarm went off early morning disturbing stay & was false alarm.
"Not impressed"
On check-in we were sent to twin room even though we had booked a double non-smoking. WE were even asked did we want smoking or non and all she had to do was look at our booking confirmation. There were the bare necessities in the bathroom - one shower gel, one shampoo, one soap and that was it. No shower cap, shoe shine, facecloth, Only one set of […] towels. On hanging up our clothes we found a second set of towels. On check-out we reported that we couldnt shower as the water was cold. We were told there was a problem with the fire alarm which affected the water and were offered no apology whatsoever - all we were told was that they they were trying to rectify it which is a bit rich when you are checking out - a bit late wouldn't you say? Didn't find the girl pleasant at all. Read more

Read more
"Hotel Clontarf Castle"
Read more
Read more
