Charthouse Hotel & Suites - Clearwater Beach

We were greeted by Bill at the desk in a wonderful caring manner. He went up and beyond helping us with anything we needed. We stayed in Rm 207 the front faced the street but on the right side you could see the water and lovely little marina out back. It was a large room with a desk to work on and the balcony had a little table and chairs. We had so […] much fun just plain relaxing on the balcony watching the people walking by. The pool was on the small size but we both enjoyed two days of swimming in it. We didn't need the beach the pool was fine to cool off with. At night we went to dinner and when we returned my better half went out back to the marina and did some fishing from the dock. While he did that I sat on the bench and took in the view of beautiful mansions across the way, the beautiful boats docked at the marina and the fresh salt air. The housekeepers do a wonderful job keeping the whole place really clean. It smelled nice and fresh when we entered, It was a joy to stay here, We met Diane the next day and she was also caring, sweet and professional. The day we checked out we also met another lovely lady who was also willing to help us with anything we needed. The staff is just wonderful. The price was afforable, The place is awesome & close to everything. We were very happy staying here and we are looking forward to going back to stay there again. Read more

We were late to the game for spring break and the Charthouse was one of the few places with one room left. I immediately reserved the room and kept my fingers crossed. We arrived late and our key was waiting for us (the front desk was closed.). Didn't matter. Quickly we were in our room which was clean with a gorgeous view of the intercoastal side. […] The hotel is not on the middle of the action but is a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and activities. I stayed here on business rather than downtown Clearwater due to late reservation and no availability downtown. The Chart House was very peaceful and quiet, off of the main road that runs through Clearwater Beach. This was during March, and college spring break. The balcony overlooks the bay and is a beautiful view. The room is spacious, with a kitchenette, and very comfortable. Diane, the hotel manager, and all the hotel staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We plan to stay there again next year! The attached pictures were taken from our balcony.

I arrived late but called ahead and my room key was inserted in the lockbox just as promised. The view from my room on the marina was so peaceful. The bed was super comfy too! A much welcomed treat after my hectic travel. Will definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area. Best value for the money!!

Knew the area well from owning a condo across the street for 20 years. Sold the unit but wanted to return as much as possible and the Charthouse look like a logical choice for a few days stay. There appears to be only one front lobby employee working this hotel, and the lobby service closes at 7 pm. He was a very nice young man, but I don't see how he would single-handedly be able to adequately keep up with the needs of hotel patrons. The hotel is dated (not surprising for the area). The room (a suite) seemed generally clean but gives a feeling […] of staleness due to age. New paint and bedding in the bedroom had improved that area. We did not experience any real issues during our two-night stay, but I did put the sign on the door for housekeeping service when we went out at 11 and none had been provided by the time we returned at 4. Chart House is an older but decent, reasonably priced hotel in a very safe neighborhood. It is just enough off the beaten path to not be over crowded. It is quiet, clean and comfortable, and is close enough to walk to some great restaurants. There is free transportation available (for tips only) to go anywhere on the beach, so you don't have to take […] your car. (The hotel parking is also free.) Nice and quiet, our room overlooked the marina, I truly enjoyed going out on the balcony and just looking over all the boats and out into the bay. The room was clean but you could tell it had a few years on it. Not shoddy but well worn. The staff was very friendly and helpful... when they were there. Check in hour are between 4pm and 6:30pmm a 2 1/2 […] window which I thought very odd but since we arrived a bit after 4pm it was a non-issue. For those who prefer to take care of themselves and have a peaceful quiet place to stay this is excellent. Very quiet and cozy ! Though a bit out of date in its furnishings,it still had a lovely comfortable and clean appearence. Hope they can soon repair some of the paint that was damaged by water in some of the rooms and update the furniture a bit,because it does detract from all the other wonderful emenities this little hotel has to offer. Hotel was in a quiet area of clearwater beach which was nice at night. The hotel said it had free WiFi but our room did not get a signal even after they reset the router. There was a dead cockroach just outside our mini fridge so that wasnt too pleasant. Overall cheap, quiet hotel with very nice staff but like the title says no frills.

Great bay access, and free live music from the Yacht club next door. Felt safe there and good location. Bathroom needed some work, and door kept slamming and sticking, so it was a bit annoying. We really liked this place. We were there to get some R&R and attend Spring Training Baseball games; but is was during Spring Break. The Charthouse is located on the quite end of the island away from the noise and crowds. It's on the water next to the Clearwater Yacht Club and also has it's own docking facility. Nice views over the marina and bay. It's […] about a half mile walk to the public beach and about a mile from the pier where all the activities are centered. We liked to walk so this worked out great for us. I stay in Clearwater 1-2 times per year have just luckily found Chart House Suites. The location is absolutely perfect for what I was looking for..on the water and across from the beach on a quiet end of the area. It was safe and comfortable and my room was clean and huge for a regular room. Pricing was a great value. Staff and guests were friendly. […] There were docks if you wanted to fish....clean pool! Diane at the desk couldn't have been more helpful. She was a delight to deal with and had many suggestions on things to do and places to go. She also suggested the free golf cart taxi that was outstanding!! This took us every where we wanted to go for only the cost of a tip!! Next time I am in Clearwater Beach I will definitely be staying at Chart House Suites!! The room had a lovely view of boats and harbor and was quiet. I saw a dolphin swim by docks at the hotel. The manager, Diane, was very friendly and helpfully suggested restaurants... Jimmy's at Holiday Inn with lovely sunset view of gulf and Maggie Mae's on Sand Key for breakfast with sunrise view of bay. My Mac only received Wifi on dock by hotel.
