Eva hotel is located in a great area (close to everything)! Their rooms are newly renovated & spacious. I arrived early & was able to check in. The hotel staff was very pleasant, nice & also very accommodating. Only complaint is the cleaning staff who spoke NO ENGLISH. I found them to be lazy not wanting to clean my room everyday & when they did it […] was one of the worse jobs I've ever witnessed. I made them do things over because it was not clean. Other than being in a good location, you might want to consider another hotel. Let's begin with no security, the ladies next door were arguing all night, so the Miami police eventually arrived to remove them from hotel. Eva Hotel was great. We had taken a red eye to Miami and thought we were going to have stay up all day because check in wasn't until 3pm. Room was newly remodeled very clean. Beds were comfortable had small frig coffee pot and micro everything we needed for one night stay. Room was pretty noisy, no seals on front door and you can hear people in unit above walking around ( typical of a lot of these old buildings). Overall pretty good, will use them again.

Too much construction noise from 5:30am to near 8:00pm plus unnecessary yelling back and forth by workmen. Grinding; hammering; drilling; banging; unreal noise. Room was spartanly furnished and the workmanship of the remodel was not good at all. Room wasn't made up until 5:00pm or later and they only mopped the floors once in 5 days. Pretty pricey, but then again, that's somewhat expected in a fantastic location in South Beach on the weekend before NYE. A block one way and you're at the beach and a block in the opposite direction and you're at Washington and Espanola! LOVED that they had underground parking! Bathroom was a bit tight for two, but manageable, especially with the shelves right outside it. Mixed feelings about the stone(?) floors. Probably comfortably cool during the warmer months, but I felt like I was walking on a dirty floor the whole time. Minor nit was that there were a couple of VERY small (dots, basically) stains on the bed sheets. Wouldn't even mention it but it gives you pause about the overall cleanliness of the sheets. The king sized bed was nice, but the mattress was WAY too soft for my taste. One other minor complaint was that I offered to pay both nights of parking on the night I checked in and the host said not to worry about it, implying he was giving me a break. Then the morning I checked out, a different host said I still needed to pay for the second night. It only added a slight delay to my checkout, but it was an annoying one considering my previous offer and the fact that I had a flight to catch. Slow service at the restaurant. I was in Miami this past week for a conference at the Loews Hotel on Collins Ave. But even at conference rates, Loews was too expensive. So where to stay? After much searching and reading reviews, I stumbled on the Eva Hotel. Great price, good reviews, one block from the conference. I stayed three nights and now can tell you what other reviewers have […] said - the Eva is a pure gem. It is Art Deco without trying too hard to be so. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the Bistro is sensational, the staff are friendly and helpful. All this at 1/2 the cost of the conference hotel. I will stay here again next year. Am truely disappointed. Was unable to get a blanket. The towels didn't look clean. There was a 2.5" gap under the entry door. The whole place smelled like a perfume factory as if trying to hide true odors. List can go on but what for. Haddon Hall next door is way better.

Well, I booked this hotel looking at moderate reviews I found on the net. I was so wrong !! The room was ok, although it didn't open into any balcony as has been advertised on the site. It was cleaned everyday and they would spray room freshner which was good. Towels and soaps were provided every day. Thats the good part. Now coming to the bad part: […] They had rented out the room, knowing that they would be doing repair and maintenance to the adjoining and upstairs rooms. They would drag furniture and stuff out of the room above us in the middle of the night. The first night I thought it was some guest, and didn't bother to call the front desk. From the next day onwards there was noise of drills and dragging of stuff from the room beside us. We would go out and see people working in the room. When I asked the person at the front desk, he was rude and said that maintenance is going on 9 - 5 every day !! I asked him, then why did you rent out the room, and he didn't have an answer, but he didn't bother to apologize !! That night at 2 am, again dragging of stuff upstairs, and I called front desk and complained. After 15 mins its stopped. Next day, we went out to the beach in the morning and came back at 10.45 am to find a notice pushed under our door saying water would be off 11 - 3 pm due to maintenance !! I called up front desk and again the same rude answer !! That night again same story, and I had to call front desk before the noise would stop. So avoid, avoid, avoid !! Read more

Great location! Just 4 min from the beach, 7 min from Lincoln Road. Personnel are very nice and helpful, however the rooms need some repairments (bath tab and furnuture were old). But in general I would recommend this place to stay as the price you pay is not that expensive as in other hotels.

The location of the hotel is what you have to think about. It is a block away from the beach, a block in front of Espanola Way, and a few blocks away from Lincoln Rd. Everything is within walking distance. In addition, the bistro which is a part of the hotel is amazing for fast and chill place for breakfast and lunch.

We had 2 rooms for our family. One room smelled strongly of disinfectant that did not dissipate the 2 nights we were there. The other room had a toilet that was stopped up when we moved in. The air conditioning, however, worked very well and kept the rooms very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and responsive to our needs. Beds were hard.

We stayed 4 nights on our vacation. Good quality hotel, two minutes to the beach and close to shopping and entertainment. The restaurant downstairs is good too. The only negative part was the neighboring hotel was fixing their pool so there was some noise. Speaking of pools, Eva doesn't have one but the beach is so close anyway;)

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. However there were roaches and the elevator was down. It seemed to have been down for several weeks. it was very difficult to get a room in the third floor and carry an infant and a toddler up and down the stairs several times a day.

That was my second time at Eva. And the worst one. At this time nothing was working: elevator, internet, printer... But the location and the cleaness were fine like always. If you need a simple hotel, just to rest in the end of a shopping day... It's an option.
