"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012

"Hotel Giraffe - Everything we needed"
Our primary reason for staying at the Giraffe was to be near our daughter's apartment which is 4 blocks away. We were delighted with the service and cleanliness at the hotel and enjoyed the wine and hors d'ouerves in the lobby every evening. The complimentary breakfast looked fine but we did not partake. The only questionable part was the bed - it looked […] more like a full than the supposed queen. But it was very comfortable if a little close. We will definitely return. Read more
"Epitomizes Boutique Hotel"
Hotel Giraffe is a great hotel. Small--only 5/6 rooms to a floor so that you really get the boutique hotel feel. Nice touches throughout--ample-sized room and bathroom (for NYC!). Cookies and milk plus chocolate-covered strawberries waiting for us in the room. Coffee and juices available all day and night in the lobby The only issue was that one elevator […] was out--very slow at times to get to/from our room. Would definitely stay here again. Read more
"Birthday getaway"
I loved the location of the Giraffe Hotel! It was very noisy (street) we were on the 12th floor. I found the bed to be very comfortable, but the pillows weren't. It took almost an hour to get our car from the garage. I loved the 2 complimentary bottles of water! Continental breakfast was very nice.
Hotel and staff terrific but location too far away from midtown especially for a Christmas shopping and sightseeing visit to NYC.
"nice stay"
Enjoyed the location as it was just far enough away from times square but close enough to walk there if we wanted to. bell men were very lax. I had to open the door for myself quite a few times. Bell men seemed to not really care much. Not a lot of staff at hotel, but it is a boutique hotel so that is understandable. Room keeper paid attention to details. […] Nice stay overall. Read more

"Perfect Weekend Getaway"
Hotel Giraffe is a gem! Rooms were lovely. Staff was friendly and helpful. GREAT LOCATION. Close enough to city sights, but not mixed up in the middle of the tourist frenzy. We had a great anniversary weekend...thank you.

"Hotel Giraffe"
As a first time guest of this hotel, we could not have been more satisfied. From the staff at check in, to the cleanliness, spaciousness of both the bed and bathrooms, to the evening happy hour and morning continental breakfast, we left our stay vowing to return. The Hotel Giraffe was accomodating, friendly, and comfortable in a great location.

Hotel lobby and room were clean and relatively comfortable. Bed was very firm and comfortable. Noise level in the room was a bit excessive with the sound of fire engines and police cars throughout the night. No bar or restaurant in the hotel, although continental breakfast was included. Biggest objection was that the hotel was not near anything worthwhile […] - b'way shows or shopping. I will say though that it is perhaps the only hotel we've stayed at in NY that I could find parking on the street. Read more

"Hotel Giraffe - Great Location/Friendly Staff"
I loved the location because it was easy to get to the subways, but away from the tourist crowd. Every one of the staff was professional yet very helpful and friendly.
"Hotel Giraffe- upscale contemporary hotel"
The Hotel Giraffe was very clean and new. It was in a more relaxed, less congested area of town which was really nice. There were alot of nice, affordable restaurants in walking distance. The previous night we had stayed at a Marriott, uptown, which was very disorganized and too busy. It took us less than 20 minutes to get our car from the parking garage […] at the Hotel Giraffe. They also offer a free Continental breakfast in the lobby which is really nice and wine & cheese every evening except Sunday. All in all we wished that we could have stayed longer and would definitely go back there. Read more
"Great value"
Well located in New York, close to the 6 line.Free continental breakfast every day with boiled eggs included, and wine and cheese from 5-8 every night except Sunday.A nice touch is that family/friends can join you for the breakfast or the drinks at no cost. Will definitely stay again.
"The Giraffe Hotel"
great location, beautiful hotel, but the 2nd. floor room made us close the curtains day and night because the inside of our room could be seen from both street level and the occupied buildings surrounding us. The view was wasted as we could not open the curtains.
"Giraffe Hotel"
I love this hotel. I have stayed at the NEW York Palace and although the view from there is amazing I much prefer the Giraffe. The restaurants around 26th St are great and varied and cheaper than uptown. The parks nearby especially Union Sq. are wonderful for people watching. The breakfast is a great way to start the day and the girls are so helpful […] and friendly. It is expensive, per night but a lovely treat Read more

"Hotel Giraffe in New York"
We had a great stay at the Hotel Giraffe. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the condition of the room and general areas was good. The bath was a little on the small side, but apart from that I don't have any complaints about the room at all. It's not top-of-the-line luxury, but it is very nice. The only slight downside is that when I was checking […] out there were some extra charges relating to the mini-bar that we weren't responsible for. Thankfully, this was resolved extremely quickly and with no fuss at all on the hotel's part. The taxes for the room amounted to an extra $50 per night on the room, which was an unpleasant surprise but not, I presume, exclusive to the hotel! We had a fantastic stay in NY, and the comfortable base that the Hotel Giraffe provided helped make that possible. Read more
"'Giraffe' - as unique as it sounds!"
The hotel is small, fresh, modern and welcoming. The evening wine and cheese was great; a time to unwind in a relaxing atmosphere, with nice music. My room was not large but looked bigger thanks to very good design. The french doors gave more space and a nice ambiance, although the 3rd floor meant it came with traffic noise. The staff were great - very […] helpful, organsing tickets to the jazz club around the corner. I will certainly stay there next time in NY. Read more
Read more

"Hotel Giraffe - April 2011"
Read more
