I was very happy on how nice the hotel was. Everything exceeded my expectations. It's not like the Ritz, but it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely stay there again!

Very anticeptic - strictly business. Kind of out of the way, not within walking distance of anything. New - everything works - food at hotel fair. Go here if you are on business, not for entertainment. It is perfect for getting stuff done without distractions.

Over all it was good. Since i was there for a n=oone night stay the area was not an issue, if i was there longer i would like to have been in a different area, but i felt the area to be safe, and that is what really counts
Location.
Located amid the shops and historic buildings that align the Stephen Avenue Pedestrian Mall in Calgary, (Alberta, Canada), the Hyatt Regency Calgary stands adjacent to the Telus Convention Centre and across from the Glenbow Museum.
Hotel Features.
On site, Thomsons prepares regional Canadian cuisine in the historic Thomson Brothers Block. The Sandstone Fireside Lounge serves cocktails and casual lunches and dinners. A business center, flexible function space and wireless Internet access (surcharge) meet the needs of social and corporate gatherings. The Hyatt Regency Calgary's Stillwater Spa portrays European ambiance and offers nail care, facials, massage and body treatments. "Great stay in Calgary"
We stayed on Christmas day and it was homey and comfortable.
Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Central location.

"Hotel was great, valet parking not so much"
I do not recommend valet parking. I called at 10:20pm to have my car ready for 11:05pm. When I got down, there was no valet. We went back inside and asked, the employee was texting. He apologized went to get my car, came back asked me what kind of car it was. Return to look for it and came back to inform me that they had lost my keys. The hotel assured […] me they would find my keys by check out time and they paid for my cab to my destination and didn't charge me for parking. I understand mistakes happen, but they had ample time to ensure they had my keys prior to me needing my car. The hotel itself was great though. I highly recommend it. Read more

Excellant Hotel - Best deal is with breakfast included - VERY nice buffet - Downtown shopping undergoing major renovation as of Sept 15 2010. When complete shopping and neighborhood amenities will be top notch.
"Hyatt Calgary"
This hotel was great! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the room service was quick, and the breakfast buffet in the restaurant was really good. The only thing we weren't impressed with was that they charge paying guests $25/day to park in their parkade and this was not listed anywhere on hotel.ca website that we saw.

Booked late during Calgary Stampede. The price paid was not a good value but perhaps everthing was inflated during the stampede. There was nothing wrong with the hotel or location.

The hotel is centrally located and the price was very fair. My only complaint would be that the bathroom floor was covered in what appeared to be dog hair.

The Hyatt Regency Calgary is located right in the hub of the action of downtown. The rooms are comfortable, elegant and well-appointed. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a central location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt in Calgary and would return there again. It's very centrally located and has bright, comfortable rooms. The staff were very helpful and it was a great bonus to be able to check in for our flight in the hotel lobby.

"Calgary gem"
This hotel was very nice, close to all amenities of downtown but the jewel was the overall attention of the staff, they were wonderful. Had the opportunity to try out the restaurant and it was very good with a great atmosphere. The only thing was that the beds were not great but I would stay again.

"The best night in Calgary"
The position of the hotel in the downtown was wonderful, especially if you have your own car. Although it seems that it is a bit expensive, you will not regret if you see the view of your room in the 17th floor of the hotel. The room was perfectly clean, the staff wonderfully warm, and the travel would be dramatically pleasant if you stay in this hotel. […] The restaurant was a bit pricy, so naturally I cannot suggest the thing that I have not tried. We have been told that we should pay for internet 14$ and parking lot 25$ per night, but the staff kindly waived these prices. Just one thing, reserve the hotel through the phone service of “hotels.com”, then you can insist that you are looking for a room in the higher floors with a good view. By the way, definitely try swimming pool in the 18th floor (which is free on the room). Read more
"Hotel close to all downtown night life."
The hotel was very clean but needs some upgrading to the lobby. There was a lot of noise from the C train every 15 minutes or so. Seem to go on all night. Also was not given the correct type of room (two queen beds )as reserved. They stated they can not guarantee. I had three adults noted on reservations but was given a room with one king bed.

My family stayed at the Hyatt Regency for one night. Our hotel room had huge windows overlooking the heart of downtown Calgary. Our room was very clean with plenty of space. Their fitness facility is the best I've seen and the hotel is very secure (you need a key to access your floor from the elevator). The best part was the room service. "Our stay at the Hyatt Regency"
The Hyatt Regency was a great choice, as the staff were very helpful when making arrangements for our 3 month old son. However, parking was pricey at $25/day. Nice view of the Calgary tower from the pool on the 18th floor, and good quality gym equipment for sure.

We stayed here as just a getaway, and chose the location as it was on Stephen Walk. The hotel was surrounded by pubs, restaurants, shopping, and even an outdoor skating rink build for the 88' Olympics. The overall feel was upscale, and the staff were very helpful. There were ATM style check in/out machines if you don't want to wait in line at the desk. I […] was however not pleased to find out that I had to pay for parking, and quite a lot too. Which is why I would recommend this hotel for those who will be arriving by taxi or transit, but if you are in need of parking it is worth looking at other accomodations. Read more

Don,t get me wrong, it is a great hotel in a great location. The staff truly did a great job of service, but it lacks warmth and charm. Right across the street is a hotel that is warm, welcoming, and cosy. Either is a great choice...................it is a matter of preference!

"Hyatt cleanliness"
For a 4.5 star hotel I was very upset with the cleanliness of the room. This is why I would not recommend the hotel. The location was fantastic.

The general impression of your hotel was good except for one incident which almost jeopardized our impression. When we checked in at the hotel very late on August 9 we were first served by a very nice lady. During the process another 'oriental-looking' lady also approached the counter and took the liberty to make enquiry on how many room we had reserved. […] When we told her that we had reserved one room for four she replied ' one room ?' with that kind of look which made us very uncomfortale. May be we were a bit sensitive but we felt that she was accusing us for reserving one room only and then would 'sneak-in' more people. We then told her that when we did the booking we had indicated that four people would be using the room and this had also been clearly indicated on the reservation form. We were not that kind of people who would do things in a 'sneaky' way and would be furious if were thought so by others. Though she said nothing further we were very unhappy at that moment and thought that she would not say things like that if she looked at the reservation record. I hoped that this kind of thing would never happen again to others or if when we would use your hotel again as we had very good impression on the services of your hotel particularly those working at the lobby. Everything was amazing. specially the pool and exersise roon. Front desk and all the staff welcoming you with warm invitation. we would stay at this hotel for our next trip.
