My family and I are from Chicago and this was our first visit to Myrtle Beach SC. We had a blast. The Hampton was only a 7 min drive from the airport and once in the resort we didn't hear planes flying over. The resort was located on the beach. Trip Advisor was RIGHT!! This hotel is simply wonderful. It appears new, with 9 pools (4 indoor), free breakfast, and 2 bedroom suites with full kitchens. I went with my family (2 kids, 3 adults) for a week and had plenty of room. Never actually laid eyes on the maid, but they magically cleaned the room and gave fresh sheets EVERY DAY. Our room was very comfortable. Great bed but the pillows could be changed out. Very small and flat. We requested 2 more pillows. It helped somewhat. The views are spectacular. We were on the 2nd floor and right above a running fountain which was a little loud. I wanted to listen to the ocean and the waves but the fountain noise was a bit much. They […] did turn it off sometime later in the night which we were thankful for. Parking garage is attached to the building so it was convenient for carrying items back and forth.. We rated the cleanliness a 4 overall because the housekeeping people did a fine job in most every respect. However, the condition of the bathroom especially the floor in our unit was deplorable. It was spotted and stained with something normal cleaning could not take care of and the top of the tile side splashes on the floor surround looked filthy. […] Additionally, the bathroom did not ever smell fresh. It appears that this is a maintenance/upkeep prblem rather than housekeeping. If the entire unit had been in the same condition as the bath the overall rating would have been unacceptable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and there was coffee, cookies and fruit available. They kept their pool area spotless and landscaping was very nice. We enjoyed a day at the spa located on-site and excellent view of the ocean. We plan to return and stay at this hotel again. Loved the room with a private balcony.

The hotel is awesome, the rooms, the beach in front, the pools (it doesn't have waterpark as many as other hotels do but believe me, the kids will not miss it! And besides, the idea is to be on the beach!). The better part was the free, big and delicious breakfast and the many areas in the lobby (including tv rooms) that we could be in during the hot hours of the day. While waiting in the lobby at 3:00, we actually did not get our room keys until 3:05 due to a maintenance issue. It was still handled just fine, as it is a very busy hotel. Stayed at the hotel with my 18 yr old daughter. We LOVED it here! Everything is very clean- the room was cleaned well everyday without all of our belongings moved around. Our view of the ocean from the balcony and through the slider door was great. The room was nice and quiet. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Great location- about 10 minutes (max) […] to Broadway at the Beach, Carolina Opry, and Sky Wheel area; about 2 min. to stores, froyo, anything! The complimentary breakfast was super: juice, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, danish, yogurt, fruit, biscuits w/gravy, eggs, sausage/bacon plus more! Also, free coffee or tea available all day and night. The pool area is very nice and clean. Plenty of lounge chairs near the pools any time of day. The pools available include a baby pool with 1 ft.of water, 2 lazy rivers, 2 regular pools, 1 pool under the overhang so out of the sun, and 2 jacuzzis. You could purchase water, a daiquiri or basic food near the pool area. Also there are amazingly clean restrooms in the pool area- very convenient. The beach is just past the pool area -beautiful! Clean white sand and clear warm water- high tide was crazy :) The only thing I will note since another reviewer mentioned this - to rent 2 beach chairs and umbrella on the beach for 6 hours costs $30! However, we went to a store nearby and purchased $10 chairs and the problem was solved! We left the chairs since we flew to MB but felt the $20 was well spent and not a big deal. Stay here! A lot of differetn pools and hot tubs for the customers and on top of the beach at that! Plenty of room inside hotel room, and stocked with plenty of towels. Pricey but you could be in a roach motel with no were near the luxury they offer.

Everything about the hotel was great. The hotel was very nice right on the beach. The parking was easy and we had a great time. It was about 2 miles from the main downtown area. That was the only negative I have with the hotel. Our room was also not ready until 3:30 pm for a 3:00 pm check in.

This was our first time to MB..it was great. The hotel was first class, from the front desk clerk to the staff in the breakfast room. The hotel was clean, well appointed and the overall layout was perfect. There was even a bar/snack bar in the pool area!
