I went with my young son and we very much enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and efficient. We took breakfast which was very good, and reasonably priced. We loved the swimming pool and steam room etc. Car parking was very near, cheap and convenient. The city centre location of the hotel was very handy.

The check in to the hotel was very easy and straightforward. The receptionist explained all the facilities available and offered us the option of adding breakfast. The room we were allocated was very spacious and clean. We used the leisure facilities whilst there and this I feel is the hotels downfall. The gym was very small but did have good equipment […] just not very much of anything. The changing rooms though lead a lot to be desired! They were not very clean at all with hair all over the floor. Also the showers lead out straight into the changing room so in turn the floor was dripping wet! No toilet cleaning brush, no extra blankets, no refreshing the tea and sugar tray, received the room with incomplete supply of toiletries - including empty serivette box in bathroom, but the most unpeasant was that the room was very cold, the heater didn't work properly, complicated way of operating it and after 3 minuter of slightly warm air it would […] start blowing cold, very noisy so could not be left running at night so very cold at night in the room - called Reception once about it and they fixed something in the evening, but overnight it was going wrong again. Last year I used this hotel for the same event and I had the same problems, but at least I had extra blankets in the room. I'm glad the event moves to another location now. It's also very dissapointing that wireless doesn't come complimentary with the room - and the prices for it are unexplainably high. Read more

We chose the hotel because it is very near De Montfort university. It is literally across the road, so if you have a family member that studies in the uni then it is the nearest hotel to be One of the main issues for me was the fact that there is only one lift and with 8 floors, sometimes we had to wait even up to 5minutes. But I guess that can't change […] but I just mention it. Another thing is if you want someone to call you at the hotel, they will be charged 10ppm Which I find a bit excessive. If you decide to have breakfast in the morning then you are charged about 13pounds. But if you get a voucher from reception the night before then it is 10pounds. Breakfast is ok. Our recent stay was smooth, comforatble and without any problems. The service was excellent, very welcoming and helpful reception staff. NCP car park virtually on the hotel premises proved very useful though the parking can be bit tight for larger cars such BMW 5 series upwards or the equivalent but I did see few cars parked neatly on the ground floor.You […] can park for 24 hours for a fee and move in and out as many times as you need to. Leicester Holiday INN. We were in room 215. I have already complained to Holiday Inn. We do not know why We we were allocated a disabled room. The room was very cold and so was the bath room. Very basic with no doors on the wardrobe. The heating system was noisy so we had to turn it off and went to bed. I would reccommend this hotel for business users but not for leisure, the car parking was expensive £10.00 per night and the bar was also expensive £7.00 for a glass of wine £ 4. pint however the hotel was clean and comfortable but not great value wifi was also an extra cost

We stayed here for the weekend as we were going to the rugby and It was easy to get to from the M1. The rooms were clean and a good size, but being on the ring road, you can hear some of the traffic. It is very close to the centre of Leicester, and there are loads of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. There is a nice bar/restaurant at the […] hotel but it is very expensive (even for hotel prices)! We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as it was £14.95 per person. We didn’t use the gym, but the swimming pool was nice although it needed to be warmer. The steam and sauna rooms were very basic and the Jacuzzi wasn’t working. The hotels car park is part of the NCP car park and they said they would validate the ticket and add it to our room bill. There is a sign at the car park that states how much it is for the whole day. so we weren’t happy when we were charged three times this amount every day! It is a basic hotel in a good location, although by the time you have added on your parking, you could probably get a nicer place for the same price. Read more
