Me and my fiancé are moving from LA to Miami, and we tried to lock down a hotel to stay in before we got to Miami. We got right off the plane and went straight to this place. I thought it was going to be smooth since I had it 2 days booked in advance, but I was SO WRONG. The gentleman that helped me was nice, but seemed lazy about the situation. A couple with 8 pieces of luggage each weighing 70lbs and moving from across the country. Mind it was about 1-1:30am at this time. We've been up for about 40 hours already and just wanted to sleep. But no. When I was asking him to simply find another surrounding hotel that he could transport us to since he never decided to call us to inform us before hand that our room was unavailable due to construction? He was simply just not getting the job done. I called expedia, explained te situation and they handled the situation SO well! No only did they find another hotel, it was a 4.5 star hotel, upgraded room, in a safe neighborhood and also paid for our commute there and the cost difference of the hotel we stayed at. Didn't go to sleep till about 6am. But it was totally worth it. But this hotel had bugs crawling everywhere, and when I first walking in it smelled of mold and must. I'm from DTLA. I know bad.
