The HVAC unit gurgled all night. The light from the parking lot outside made it near impossible to get any decent sleep. The pillows were flat and useless. We really enjoyed our stay and all the help was very very friendly. The hot tub and the pool were very nice as well as having a common area to meet with family and enjoy a hot chocolate and/or cup of coffee was great! We will stay there again on our next visit to West Virginia.

The people were very friendly and helpful...but it was the constant stream of little detals that they had to correct that was the problem.....especially when you check in and are tired and want to relax or prepare for going back out. For us it was a funeral and we did not need the these little issues......little toilet paper,someones hair (S) on the […] hair blower, shower curtain not hooked up all the way or straight, small and few towels............Maybe the loss of a loved one is coloring the picture................anyway the people were quick to fix the problems. Of the more than 15 hotels we stayed at on our trip, this was the most expensive, and the most crowded. We were told that we payed for 2 qu. and a sofa bed, but got 2 qu. and they shoved a rollaway in at the last minute. Too much money for too little space.

As soon as I walked into the lobby,I was impressed.The place is small,but it was nicely appointed & more importantly, immaculate! The hotel had a fresh clean smell.There are rugs in the elevator and hallways & I didn't see not so much as a piece of lint on them.The hotel supplies a complimentary newspaper daily & offers The Bible at your bedside.Although […] the neighborhood seemed just fine,the area surrounding the building is well lit & there always seemed to be someone at the front desk monitoring things.The only "complaints" I have is that what is supplied of shampoo(no conditioner)& soap are very very small samples.I understand I could have asked for more & this is probably customary practice for all hotels nowdays given the "go green" thing. The towels were hard & not fluffy.Probably too much bleach...as they too were fresh,clean and unblemished.Fresh fruit & juices served for breakfast if you're a healthy eater or you can get the "standard" buffet items.Other food,snacks & drink are always available from the vending machines,though. The great experience that I have learned to expect from the Marriot. The front desk staff as nice and went out of there way to make me feel comfortable. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. The towels were nice and fluffy. The wirelesss internet worked great and was free.

We checked in late after a fairly long road trip--very glad to have some accommodation before continuing on the next day. The hotel was conveniently located near the i-81 and very easy to access. The hotel itself is very basic, no luxury expected nor received, but it was clean and fairly quiet which was all we wanted.
