Great value for money, caring staff. My wife and I stayed on the 19th Sept 09 with our oneyear old son. This hotel offers good value for money. They provided us with a travel cot for our son (lit looked like a laundrey basket we were a bit concerned at first but it was clean and comfortable for him he loved it actually. The room was clean and comfortable. with a 32" LCD TV. very friendly staff. you can walk into the city if you like or get a cab which should cost arounf 20 dirhams. Food was great buffet style in the evening or you can book other resteraunts. The grounds are big, well maintained and superb. Nice fitness center and tennis courts. You will not be disapointed. I will definatly stay again.

The hotel as a facility is nice, well kept and clean. Located in a nice and not too busy area of Marrakech. For those that realized that a Riad sometimes is not the best experience consider this or a different regular hotel in the city. The biggest downside for us was that we were promised some things at the hotel after we reserved over 50 nights for a business trip, but at the moment of pay the bill some of those things that they offered (verbally) were not included and we end up paying for it The same with an additional room that they promise for a lower rate and at the last minute we had to pay double of what the rate was. My observation is that the staff at the hotel may not understand sometimes that the customer is first. If you have a problem, you better offer solutions since you may find that some people is not very proactive. My advice: Get everything in writing if possible. Don't have high expectations for some people when you need to solve a problem. Don't expect the service you are used in America when you go the restaurants. Also, browse for available rates and trust in most of the reviews in Marrakech.

If you are travelling to Marrakech, this hotel is absolutely ideal. We nearly booked a Riad in the Medina, but are very glad that we stayed at the Meridian instead, having experienced the area and layout of everything. It is situated in the Hivernage business district and ideally located for the souks as well as the newer part of town. Gardens are beautiful and the pool much better than it looks in the brochure. We found the staff very professional as well as being nice and seemingly happy in their work. The hotels hammam is well worth the experience if you have never tried it the hotels own is as good as anywhere.

This hotel was such a wonderful break in our 3 week Europe vacation of tiny hotels. I can't tell you how nice it is to come back to the pool after all the craziness of the Medina souks. Wanted to try a riad, but didn't want to stay in the thick of it. So glad we chose the Le Meridien instead. We walked twice to the Medina market square, but took taxis the rest of the time. (20 dhrms) I would absolutely recommend this hotel. Beautiful setting. Great service. Great pool.

The hotel was very nice with a Moroccan flair and beautiful andalusian gardens. the food was excellent in all restaurants, and in the Tea room. Service was good, except for the concierge who was really not knowledgeable about different things to see. he had a book with a list of 5-6 trips all too long, and when asked about things to do in Marrakech itself, failed to know any areas to explore. We hired a private guide and that was great.

While the hotel was okay... I expected more for a 5 star. The gentleman that checked me in was very adamant about it being a 5 star yet many of the services were sub par... I stayed at the hotel 2x in a 1 week period (1st time for 3 nights then i took a 3 day excursion and returned and the 2nd time for one night) and they wanted me to fill out forms to check in again until I protested. Although there was a sign that instructed guests to not reserve chairs at the pool... the pool attendant would hold chairs for patrons that were not at the pool... the furniture and the room decor seemed to be stuck in the late 1970's and the terrace door to my room was broken and was never fixed during my 3-day stay. The common areas however were beautiful as well as the garden...but so many things were left to be desired.

My wife, 5 year old son, and I stayed for 3 days at the Meridien. The hotel has beautiful gardens that are very calming after a day at the souks. The service is poor. Our request for help with the internet or getting a DVD player for the room were either completely ignored or attended to after a very long time. That said, the staff was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food in Med restaurant was great and room service also had a great menu. Overall, if you do not have any special requests, I would highly recommend this hotel.

We were impressed with this hotel. The room was great, the food very well prepared; overall the service was good. The only criticisms were that the food was a little slow being served at dinner, and the hotel charged 100 dirhams to take us in their minibus to the airport - which we expected to be free of charge. A minor irritation. Otherwise the service was very attentive, and the facilities and attention to detail of a very high standard. A couple of cautionary notes - on our first afternoon and evening there was a very noisy and drunken group of about twenty young English people who had obviously come for the clubbing in Marrakesh, and they were loud and obnoxious around the pool area, both during the afternoon and at four am when they returned. Fortunately they left the following afternoon. Also, when taking a taxi, get a price before you set off every time, or the driver will try it on with double the fare, and don't agree with the cab driver to go to another location, because you will end up a long way from where you wanted to go, as they take you to the Artisans area where the goods are made and get commission for dropping you there.
