"The worst stay ever!"
This was the worst stay ever! Do not stay at this hotel if you want any type of service. That includes: quick and efficient check in, the right rooms, the cot that you called and requested before arriving 2x, anyone to answer any questions. Stay here only if you want to be ignored while the one person at the front desk answers the phone every time it rings instead of checking you into the right room. Only stay here if you want the back up manager to help you by throwing her hands up in the air, tossing papers at you and screaming how much chaos she is under! Only stay here if you plan on sleepong on the floor. This was the worst stay ever!

"Met expectations"
The hotel met our expectations. Rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was typical, with the exception of warm cinnamon rolls which were very good. There was a snafu when checking in. We got our room keys and pulled around back to unload and use the back door, only to find out that our key didn't open the door. Went back around to the front desk, where they said they "might have checked someone else into that room" and had gone upstairs to check it out. A few minutes later, we were given new keys and were set for the night. You might want to know that, although the hotel sign is easily visible from the hwy, the hotel itself is set back off the highway behind another chain hotel. Overall, a pleasant stay that served our purpose.

"One night stay in December"
After landing in DFW three hours later than scheduled on Dec 10, 2013, I was looking forward to getting to the hotel for a minimum of 7 hours of sleep before my connecting flight early in the morning at 7am. Unfortunately, when I called the hotel to have the shuttle come to the airport, the young girl working at the front desk was unable to direct me to the pick up zone. She had expressed that she had never been to the airport and that she didn't know how to get to the pick up zone that she was telling me to go to. I found this terribly unprofessional for a business to have someone working at a front desk position and not being able to give proper information to customers especially when they are providing a service such as airport pick up/drop off. She should be required to go to the airport and have a tour with someone who knows it well. After asking an airport attendee, I found my way to the pick up zone. However, it took nearly 90 minutes before the shuttle finally arrived and I got to the hotel 2 hours after my plane had landed. In hindsight, I should have taken a cab for $15 to get to the hotel that was located 10 minutes from the airport. Do not take the free shuttle to or from this hotel, as I had just as much trouble with them in the morning getting back to the airport. You are better off to pay for a taxi. I will definitely choose an alternate hotel to stay at during my next stopover in DFW.

"Great Hotel, but forget about using GPS to find it"
Hotel and staff were great. The breakfast was ok. Doing a little reconstruction so some inconvience. But my only real complaint is the address listed thru Expedia won't get you there using GPS.

"Staff not willing to work with customers"
Due to the winter storm that slammed the South, flights were canceled. Therefore this trip was canceled but due to "Not reimbursable or cancelable " to Holiday Inns reservations, they would not refund our room. I had a Holiday Inn in Georgia with the same policy but their staff was willing and DID REFUND our room. We have a client in Grapevine Texas that we will have employees travelling to and stay in Grapevine to be on-site with the client. WE WILL NOT EVER BOOK THIS HOTEL AGAIN!

We were there to attend a conference at the Gaylord Resort and the staff at this hotel were available to give us rides to the convention, stores, and anywhere we wanted to go within five miles of the hotel! No need to rent a car for restaurants and shopping!

"hard to find"
The room was very nice and the staff was friendly. The construction to the front of the hotel was inconvenient but I am sure will be nice when finished. Not visible from the surface streets and could use clear signage with directions to the.hotel.

Our stay was an emergency overnight due to an ice storm. After an extremely difficult day it was a great relief to rest comfortably. The airport shuttle driver transported us safely over perilous roads and went above and beyond to accommodate us.

Absolutely unbelievable and unsatisfactory service and management at this Holiday Inn! Booked and pre-paid for a Suite with two queen beds for three nights. At check in the front desk receptionist and manager (Sue) stated they could only honor our reservation for the third night's stay and not nights #1 nor #2. When ask why, "Well we had the guests in your reserved room ask for an extended stay and we gave it to them." UNSATISFACTORY!!! The current management needs to be fired and then hire someone that understands how to run a business and honor their reservations vice operating it like a socialist program!!! We shall steer very clear of any Holiday Inn and Hotels.com booking after this experiance!

Clean and quiet rooms. Mice mini buffet breakfast. Was attending conference at another hotel and they cheerfully provided shuttle to and from the hotel. Several chain eating establishments in walking distance. Was raining and front desk clerk offered me her personal umbrella. Overall very pleased and would stay again...

"Great Stay"
The stay was great, friendly staff, clean rooms, and good overall experience. Will stay again soon. The only draw back was all of the construction, had an extremely difficult time getting to the hotel, though this is in no way under their control. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. "close to lake grapevine"
Overall a very good experience; clean, organized, comfortable. our only hitch was finding the hotel -- there was construction going on and our e-maps did not work well - put one call to the hotel and we had good directions from a very friendly staffer.

Our door did not lock from the outside. We reported it and they did not fix it and we had to report it again. I was disappointd by only receiving a sorry upon our leaving. If we had things stolen would it have been our fault, since the did notjing to repair the door.

"Great hotel for a quick vacation"
Great location. We weren't too far from Six Flags (20 minutes?). Excellent restaurants nearby. Highway construction was awful (stay on the access roads), but we found it easy enough. Clean rooms that had a nice bed along with a sofa bed which was good enough for the kids. Kids enjoyed the outdoor pool. Got a great price. Would definitely stay here again.

Great room. Free WiFi. Great location. Easy, reliable shuttle. The best FREE breakfast we have ever had at a hotel. Friendly staff. Great steakhouse across the street. Ask the front desk if they have any coupons... we got a free appetizer with dinner. Would highly recommend!!

"Weekend trip to Fort Worth"
TV didn't work, Coffee was horrible, breakfast was worse. Every HI Express that I have stayed in has the worst breakfast. School cafeterias can make a better breakfast, knock a few bucks off the room and ditch the breakfast if that is the best that you can do

"Dirty socks"
The ac unit in the room blew very humid air that was not cooling properly. I did not sleep well and ended up feeling on my legs not 1 but 2 dirty socks in the bed with me. I took them to the manager the next morning. The said they would check when it was cleaned last. Really? Who cares. It was not clean and I paid for it. They said next time I am in the area to call and they will comp a room and gave me a business card. Nothing in writing that says a free room, just a business card. Very poor customer service.

I want to thank the Holiday Inn Express staff for their excellent professional service. I was attending business meetings in Grapevine & had the SCI banquet at the Embassy Hotel on Saturday. The Hotel's shuttle took me everywhere I needed to go. Very friendly staff, felt at home, they attended to my every need. The reception staff helped me with sending UPS parcels, the business centre was available for printing etc. The complementary breakfast was great. I will be back next year!

With all the construction in the area, the hotel wasn't easy to get to. When we arrived to check in, we had to wait 15-20 minutes because the information the hotel received from the travel site we booked the room on was incorrect. However, Carla was very friendly and made the wait not as bad. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom felt a little cramped, though. Everytime we flushed the toilet, it would flush a second time on it's own. Good food and entertainment options in the area.

"Business Trip"
Was in town for business. I chose this hotel because the construction near the airport and Grapevine is terrible and it is too difficult to navigate in a rental car when you not familiar with the area. This hotel has a free local shuttle, which we used each day to get to our local office. Did not have to pay for a rental car or a taxi. The front desk staff was helpful and the shuttle driver was very accommodating! Nothing to complain about in the rooms, they were clean and comfortable, but nothing special. All we needed for business travel. Morning breakfast was good, some hot food and better than most. Will definitely stay here again when in town.

"Stay on 1/19/2013"
First they had us list under the wrong first name! Then our GPS would not pick up on the listed hotel's address and therefore it took us one and half hours to find the hotel after we got in town. All of this after we had driven seven hours to get there did not leave us very happy! We almost missed the wedding that we came for. The hotel has a very small little sign out in front of another hotel which makes it very easy to miss the hotel!
