"Great hotel with friendly staff"

Glena and Devon at the front desk was very helpful and took good care of us. I had a sick child and need a microwave and glena upgraded us to a suite with out hesitation. That right there was with out even checking in to the hotel, after getting there everyone was great. Devon at the front desk was always cheerful and very helpful and made my family feel welcome during our stay.

Stayed here during a bike trip through the Ozark Mountains. This is a relatively new hotel with nice-sized rooms and wonderful ammenities. The front desk staff was friendly - after we booked the room, she noticed we were on a bike and offered the 'biker' rate. This really is a biker-friendly hotel - we appreciated that!
"Stay off 3rd floor"

We booked 2 non smoking rooms. One was on the 3rd floor, which is half smoking, half non. The minute you walk off the elevator, the smoke smell hits you in the face. And if you need to get ice from the ice machine, be prepared to walk past the smoking rooms. I do not understand why the smoking rooms aren't on the top floor if you must have smoking rooms. If you stay here and don't want to smell smoke, make sure you are not on the 3rd floor. Our other room was on the 2nd floor and was fine.

The Holiday Inn is a very friendly and very clean hotel!. The clerk Glenna called around and turned out we had the reservation for another hotel, Glenna was very friendly and helpful...she got us a room for the night. The beds are very comfortable!

Upon arriving very early in the morning, the manager received us cheerfully and advised that our room was ready. We we received late checkout so we could rest before getting back on the road. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good.

Not impressed, but not running out the door either. The good - Breakfast was great. The check-in lady was friendly. Room was clean to the eyes. Comfortable bed. Cookies at check-in... Mmm... Location was right in the middle of the small town and Wendy's was a walk across the road. The bad - The room smelled - don't know what it smelled like, but there was an odor (?too pet-friendly?). There was a spot for a fan in the bathroom, but no switch for it. No refrigerators or microwaves in room (not that they advertised it, but still...) and no ice machine on the 2nd floor. The neutral - Did not visit the indoor pool. Overall, less than what I expected from a Holiday Inn, but still a notch above a "budget" hotel experience.

I stayed 4 nights with a mid week break away from this property. The staff are very friendly and accommodating BUT, if you are a non smoker ONLY stay on floors 1, 2 or 4. Even though the majority of rooms on 3 are non smoking the second you step off of the elevator or stairwell, you will be knocked down by the odor. I turned right around and went to the front desk and go a different floor. If enough guest refuse to stay on this floor they will be forced to become a non smoking facility. The second night we were there some clod was smoking in the second floor stairwell which set off the fire alarm forcing evacuation. Harrison's finest sent a hook and ladder and a standard unit along with 8 firefighters. It was great to see them in action but quite frankly it didn't have to happen. All because some lazy idiot didn't want to walk outside and burn a cig. Sorry for the rant but I am somewhat militant when it comes to smoking! Other than that, it's a great place to stay as I have been at this property at least 8 times and will stay here again. Just not on the third floor!

My wife and I spent Saturday night at this motel. Front desk provided great service. Our room was clean and bed was great. They were very busy at breakfast in the morning, but the attendant kept the food hot and counter full. Would not have any problem staying there again!
"If you travel to Harrison, Ar stay at the Hampton not the Holiday Inn Express"

Last year our travel team stayed at the Hampton Inn. Everything was fantastic, great rooms and great staff. The breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were very clean. This year we made a mistake and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. Before our arrival several of us had problems with a staff member in regards to our reservations, she was very rude. The rooms are average and the atmosphere is no comparison to the Hampton Inn next door. The entire night we experienced a lot of noise from the hallway. In the morning several of our rooms had no hot water, very low water pressure, the towels are rough and the breakfast area is very cramp with limited selection of food items. When we advised the staff of the hot water and low pressure issue their response was " yeah, we may have a water problem". Do yourself a favor and stay at the Hampton!!!!!
Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast, clean and well stocked bathrooms, and friendly staff. There was not a single problem encountered during my stay. Would definitely stay here again. Refrigerator would be a nice addition however.
