hotel and staff were great, but my mp3 player and my bose headphones and charger cord for my plantronics headset(for cell phone) were gone when we returned from a day trip, the mp3 plater cord was still pluged in. I spoke with staff but there were know answers as to what could have happened. I was told i would be contacted by the hotel general manager. […] That didn't happen yet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They are the ones who primarily made the stay supurb. They did everything they could to be accomodating. It was nice to always get a very friendly greeting when we came in at night. Felicia was especially helpful and kind. On the first night, we were trying to reach the front desk. The call was not going […] through, but Felicia noticed there was a problem and came to our room to see if all was well with us. Since I travel with a service dog, she knew there may be a problem and I thought that was very, very kind of her to check on us. We only have one complaint, and that is that we could not get the internet from our room. The connection was "very poor". Felicia tried to help us with that, but to no avail. The connection was "high" in the lobby but not in our room. Felicia offered us another room, but I had just unpacked and didn't have the energy to pack and unpack all over again. On the third night, I was told that several others had complained about poor internet service also, and that they could not access it with their iPads. Thank you Blythewood Staff for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Should we come down again to see our family, we will definetely choose the Holiday Inn Express. I hope that we find the same staff on duty. Read more

The Hotel was fine but the condition of the sheets, towels and some of the furnishings was terrible. The 'comfortable' chair designed for relaxing or reading had a LARGE unidentified stain right in the middle of the seat so we never even tried it out. Sheets and towels were old, tattered and worn. The price of the room for Masters week was the only thing that made our stay tolerable. The rooms were dated and rundown, the furniture covered in stains and the bathroom damaged by water.....breakfast in the morning consisted of warmers covered with pieces of paper apologizing for not having that item (cinnamon rolls, biscuits, etc). The hotel was excellent. We had a problem with check in. We had booked 2 rooms through Hotels.com. The desk clerk said the rooms were not paid for and asked for a credit card. I had printed the receipt from hotel.com which she took back to someone to review. The hotel was supposed to remain in the background when after 55 years I brought my mom for a vacation back to her birth state of South Carolina, but that was not the case. The staff at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Blythewood did everything to ensure we had a wonderful stay - from the call I made to make sure our rooms were close together […] to the hugs we received after checking out and sharing details about the other aspects of our vacation. The fact that we know several of the staff members by name and have talked about them almost as much as the relatives we visited says a lot about our satisfaction with our stay. Great breakfast, mostly friendly staff. One woman who cleaned our room was unfriendly and did a poor job and was unpleasant when we asked her to clean the bathroom. But we did not see her again. The hotel staff was courteous, friendly, and greeted you at every encounter. Even the cleaning staff had smiles on their faces as you walked through the halls and as they were cleaning your room. I even received a courtesy call a few minutes after I entered my room just to make sure that I was satisfied with the room. The window unit in the room was nice because you could set it to any temeperature you'd like. Made everything that much more comfortable. The breakfast was much better than most I have seen before. The food was hot and there was a wide range of food for you to choose from. I will be returning to the area in a few days and will stay in this hotel once again. The hotel was very easy to find from the highway and had several restaurants and gas stations within walking distance. I was unable to use the pool as it had not been opened for the season yet, but it was being completely refinished and looked to be only days from opening. There was plenty of room in the parking lot so I'm not quite sure what type of vehicle was being used in the previous comments.
