The WiFi was not working properly, the desk clerk said she would reset the router, after a half an hour she still had not reset the router so I went to the office and she was doing her paperwork and said she would do it when she was done with her paperwork. I stood there for fifteen more minutes while she did paperwork which was obviously more important […] than an actual guest. This was the cheapest hotel I could find, because I just wanted to stay overnight after a party rather than have a 3-hour drive afterward. I wasn't too concerned with the area or the amenities, as long as it was in city limits. There was a fridge in the room, which was nice (those seem to be an endangered species). There was free outdoor parking onsite. […] There was wireless internet, though it didn't really work and I switched back to my mobile phone's internet. The toilet did this weird, loud, periodic refill of its tank and I had to get in and tweak it to make it stop. The website showed something better. The bathtub plugger was falling apart. The toilet was running all night. It says it has Wi-Fi couldnt log in for the 2 days that I was there. This was possibly the worst place I have ever stayed! It was an awful area, smelled bad, poor service, mold in the tub, dirty pillows, plywood in one of the windows, cigarette burns in the blanket, noisy, thin walls, trains, tons of traffic, I could go on and on. The room itself wasn't horrible, but the other people (presumably living there) were frightening. All night long guys hung out on the walkway (outside my door.) I could hear couples shouting and babies crying until after midnight. I was scared for my life the entire night. Spend a couple more bucks somewhere else and stay safe!

I needed a cheap place to overnight in PDX. Reception was nice, wrote down a taxi number for me. But my only problem was that no one had milk for coffee. I ended up crossing a very busy street at 6:30 in the morning just so I could have coffee that I could drink. The hotel staff don't show much commitment to serving guests. I've tried to ask for help to at the help desk but most of the time they are not there. I was expecting a guest one day, which I hadn't told the receptionist about. But the receptionist gave my friend access to my room without calling me first to confirm. This Hotel overall wasn't too bad except the fact that some of the towels were very bad with stains. Another thing was the continental breakfast. Don't let those words fool you. Both beds had broken springs in them so very uncomfortable breakfast is a joke no hairdryer or coffee pit in room the only positive thing was the gentleman that was on duty sunday morning very nice helpful guy. I will never stay at this chain again

****Avoid totally******. One of the worst hotel.Staff really do not care about your stay. Rooms are disusting. Non smoking rooms smell cigars. Bed sheets and blinds are all torn . One of the worst location in Portland... Pay few more dollars and avoid any Econo lodges. I will avoid Econo in future.

i booked this hotel because it said it was close to downtown and it was fairly cheap. Well i got what i paid for! It is not close to downtown and the room was full of mosquitos. Within the first 10 minutes in the room i was bitten 7 times. I had to change rooms. The other quest looked like they live in portland but didnt have a place to stay and do […] their shady stuff. So, it may be my GPS, but when I plugged the address of this hotel in to it, it lead us to an abandoned building in the industrial section of Portland. This hotel is located near the industrial areas, not the best neighborhood, and lots of auto shops. There was no amenities near by, except for a sketchy gas station. First of all, there are reserved parking spaces for the employees right in front of the hotel front. I counted 4 spots. That pretty much says how much they care about the customers. Pros: The staff let us several hours before check in time right after we arrived from the airport. The room was very clean and was cleaned daily. That's pretty much it.... Cons: This hotel is in a shotty part of town and it is NOT close to anything! It's closer to the airport than anything else. You may as well stay at the airport hotels for a cheaper […] rate at probably a more decent hotel. Getting to downtown is not hard by bus but the way the hotel is advertised it makes it seem like it's right downtown and it isn't. We ended up renting a car because getting to farther destinations than downtown by bus took 30-45 minutes because of the bus route near the hotel... It takes you out of the way. The room was also very very small. The bed was uncomfortable and only had two pillows total with a thin blanket and typical scratchy hotel comforter. It needs to be updated overall. The water pressure in the sink and shower was absolutely awful! Barely any pressure at all and the temperature would go hot or cold for no reason during a shower. The air conditioner/heating unit was so loud when it rained we couldn't sleep. You could hear rain droplets from outside hitting it that were so loud and amplified we thought the unit was breaking down until we realized it was simply just the rain!The continental breakfast was a few English muffins,coffee,oj, and muffins. Nothing great at all. No yogurt or fruit and it ends at 9am. Overall I'd say if your gonna stay that far just stay by the airport or spend the extra cash to be downtown. We were not impressed. The stairs to the room had torn carpet. Ice machine old, barely working. Chairs in the room were stained. Free breakfast was a joke. Other "guests" very noisy all night. Easy to get into parking lot, very hard getting out.

Chose the location for it's okay ratings and convenient location to several places I was going to for a friend's party in NE Portland. The place itself was okay, no issues with the condition of the room really (although no tv remote and the wall in the shower looked like it was having some issues). The problem was the place was just on a major roadway […] and therefore loud, and really a bit sketchy. People just hanging out on the balconies, talking loudly and somewhat aggressively. I just needed an inexpensive place to overnight while traveling alone. While the room needed some maintenance and the furniture was old, everything felt clean and the bed mattress was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful at check-in. Free parking was nice. Worst thing was that the room was cool at night and the heater was very noisy.

Nice, friendly, and helpful front desk staff, but the room left a lot to be desired. The shower head did not work well, the room smelled of cigarette smoke and left my clothes smelling bad, and I could hear the people next door talking all night long. I would not stay here again.
