lightbulb in the restroom was out. No maintenance guy there between midnight and 7am. Does anyone there speak English? Very convenient location but you are better off next door. Rooms are not the cleanest. In serious need of updating! Showers are sometimes hot.....

The staff here is very nice and accommodating. The hotel itself is just very old and outdated. It's location close to Disneyland and lower price range is what attracted me. It's a decent stay if you aren't going to spend a large amount of time in the room itself.

Breakdown of good and bad. Good: *location was awesome if visiting Disneyland. Was an approx 6-7 min walk w stroller. *there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. *free parking. Also left car after checkout to visit the park and there was no issue. *relatively easy check in / out. *nice front desk staff. Bad: *the cleanliness of the room. Even […] the walls were dirty. *the bed's "fitted" sheet was a tucked in flat sheet. Pretty gross. *the remote for the tv didn't work, pretty inconvenient. *although there was a microwave, it wasn't plugged in, so it took me like 5 min to figure out why it wasn't working. All in all, the place was sorta worth the 60 I paid, since parking at Disney is 15/ day. Our next trip I will stay at a higher quality hotel on the same strip. I wouldn't stay again. Read more

It wasn't as close to the park I had thought it was. The room smelled. Worst of all, when we got back after a long day our key didn't work so we had to get a new one which he was good about. I've stayed in better, closer hotels for the same money and will definatly do so next time.

When we arrived there was no one at the front desk. After yelling "Hello!" A few times, someone showed up acting very put out. The key that was given us didn't work. The desk dude didn't believe us and had to check it out himself before he would make another key. That was the good part. The room was dirty. This is the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We rented 3 rooms for our family and when we went back to our room after a long day at Disneyland, our key didn't work, went to the front desk and they told us they had removed all of our stuff and rented the room to someone else even though we had already paid for the entire stay. Long story short they […] refunded our money and we went next door to the Best Western (much nicer hotel with wonderful breakfast). At the Anaheim Discovery Inn, the towels are like sandpaper, the sheets do not fit the beds (queen beds, full sheets) the corners of the rooms are filthy and they are reluctant to replace disposable cups. Would not recommend to anyone looking for a stress free, comfortable stay, it's better to spend a few dollars more and stay somewhere with good customer service. Read more

Where to begin...? This 'motel' could only be described as one step above an "hourly-rate" establishment. The room itself looked quaint upon first glance, but once settled in we noticed one disturbing thing after another: one of the bed frames were broken one one side, the bathroom door hinges were broken/detached from door frame, the bathroom floor […] tile was "cloudy" (indicating that it hadn't been cleaned), the bathtub drain was clogged with long black hair, there were blood stains on "clean" towels, the heater/air conditioner knobs were broken, and finally, a serge protector that was over-plugged with appliances (alarm clock, TV, lamp, mini-fridge & microwave). I had to fight back tears of embarrassment from my friend whom I was sharing the room with, as I was the one who had chose the motel for the night. When we brought these issues up to the clerk at the front desk the next morning, he wrote our complaints down on a sheet of paper (which contained other complaints from departing guests just from that morning). When the desk attendant brought the manager to us, he refused to remedy the situation because we had paid for the room through Hotels.com. The manager said our concerns would be "looked into", then told us to have a "good day", in an effort to push us out the door. We made it clear that we were very disgusted with their service, but left the office. We would NOT recommend this motel, nor would we stay there EVER again. Read more

We love this hotel. It's not the fanciest, and we sometimes wish it were in better shape and that the breakfast were better. However, the rooms are satisfactory, the staff is so wonderfully friendly and helpful, and we walk right to Disneyland from our room.
