"Great value, beautiful views"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We enjoyed the convenient location(right on the Endicott campus). Literally a short walk to the beach. Staff was helpful and friendly. Bed was listed as Queen size but it was actually a full size which was a bit small for the two of us. Otherwise, very enjoyable and would stay there again.
"Very nice hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Our son goes to college close by and we would stay here again. Very clean, staff was very nice and the breakfast was a bonus. Easy to get to and plenty of places to eat close by.
"close to airport"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Amazing, room service was excellent..

"Turned out to be good choice"
Nice hotel, great service, clean, near two T lines, Rte. 90, Emerson College, park, theatres, chinatown, and Tufts hospital (hopefully don't need it). Starbucks in lobby was added bonus. Would gladly stay there again.
"Nice, Clean room, but sketch area and terrible net"
The room was nice enough and turned over sufficiently, but the area nearby was a bit worrisome after hours. The bigger issue for me was the over-priced ($15 per night, to 1 MAC address), terrible quality internet which was only available via un-secure wireless (no wired connection).

"Doubletree downtown Boston"
The only thing I was not happy with was the parking. The man who parked my car didn't even lock the doors, luckily when I went out that evening I dedided to check if they were locked. Very upsetting considering I paid $40.00 to have it parked. The back seat in my car was full of bags from the many purchases I had made that day...

I was very pleased with the service provided. They made me feel special. And the warm cookies provided at check in was a special treat.
"Great location.... great staff!!"
The location near Tufts Medical Center and on the edge of Chinatown is great! There's a T station right next door, and the theater district is just a block away. The first night we were there was the Boston blackout of 2012..... The power went out for nearly 8 hours, but the staff was wonderful. They managed to find flashlights and glow-sticks I was […] warmly greeted every time I passed the main desk or front door. Wifi was excellent, but only free for upgraded HIltonHonors members. Regular members just get USAToday. Read more
"Perfect Place!!!"
My daughter was having a procedure done at Tuffts Medical Center right across the street. Location was perfect, the hotel was small but very attractive, lobby was nice, staff was excellent regarding our special needs with our daughter. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
"Doubletree"
Great hotel. Three minute walk to orange line. Only annoyance is being charged 40.00 for parking:( If you like jazz take two stops on orange line to Mass Ave. Five minute walk to Wally's cafe. Berkeley students play for free. No cover. Great mix of people in nice neighborhood. No cover. Eat before going - they have no kitchen just great free music.
"doubletree dowtown boston"
great location in the theatre district, a little noisy at night on the streets but for one night it was fine....good thing my husband is mechanically inclined since the toilets needed to be flushed manually after taking the cover off, by the time they save water they're paying dearly in maintenance with the toilet design. the front desk associates were […] great, the valet parking attendant was so pleasant..... It was not expensive, but a good hotel.
"The Hotel in Boston Downtown"
It is a very nice hotel, good price in Boston Downtown. They provide very good breakfast. But the parking is very very expensive.

"DoubleTree Hilton - Downtown Boston"
Nice and Clean Hotel. Friendly staff. Great Location, right in the mix of things. Only gripe was the $40 parking charge per night but considering it was downtown, could understand it.
"I gave it a shot...."
I'd been booking this hotel for business and putting my clients up here - and the first couple times it was fine. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were decent. However my last couple stays weren't so great. The second to last stay was a mess with loud guest and a 15 ft. trail of vomit greeting me outside my hotel room door down the hall. The […] staff had little empathy and decided it wasn't worth addressing or apologizing for. It had clearly not been given attention since it seemed fairly dry for at least a few hours. It was quite appalling. They instead acted like it wasn't a big deal and came off defensive as if I was looking for some sort of discount or handout. That's not my style, however SOMETHING would've been nice since I was a regular guest booking multiple rooms each week for my company. I figured it was a fluke so I gave them another shot the following week. Not only did we not get the types of rooms I had booked, they put me in the room by the elevator with noisy guests screaming all night. It was a handicap room and the shower in this room was horrendous with leaks in several parts of the hose and joints spraying everywhere with no control. I then had to ask my business partner the following morning if I could go up to his room to take a shower. That's really unacceptable however what got me mad was that this too was greeted with disregard. I'm not willing to take another chance with this hotel - which is a shame since a couple people there actually seemed like they genuinely cared for the guests' comfort. I also tend to not vent about bad experiences on these types of review sites, but since no one was willing address my concerns with any sort of solution or apology, I figured I'd at least tell their potential customer base. Good luck. It's a gamble there. Read more
This hotel is ok for what you will be paying. While booking online they dont reserve your rooms ahead of time but your are guaranteed a room at check in. The tub in the room was stained but over all the hotel is nice and the beds are very comfy.
"Doubletree Downtown Boston"
Nice hotel, convenient to almost everything. Clean. A few things that always tick me off, no free coffee or water in lobby, must pay for internet, Starbucks in lobby opens late, Attched parking for $40.00 was great. Busy area in evening, great food and entertainment, close to Boston Common.
"Central Location, Below Average Service"
The good: The location of this hotel is superb. It is very close to a T stop, Boston Common, and Chinatown, which made exploring the city a breeze. The size of our room was decent given the price (hotels in Boston tend to be pretty expensive) and had a large bathroom and mini fridge. The accommodations were also very clean. The beds were comfortable […] but for some reason the bedding was very warm! I had to sleep on top of the sheets. The bad: This is the second time I've stayed at a Doubletree Hotel and I'm noticing a trend that their level of service leaves something to be desired. Upon arriving I was informed that the only parking they had available was "Valet Parking" - essentially paying $40 a day to have a guy drive my car a few yards in a tiny lot adjacent to the hotel. I informed the front desk that I had paid much less to park the last time I stayed in Boston. The staff member rudely insisted that "I must not have stayed Downtown" and said that the cost was reasonable because I was traveling with others and could split it. I drove down the block and parked at a garage for $15 a night. Lying to your customers isn't a fantastic way to start their stay, Doubletree. Read more
"Nice hotel in the heart of Boston."
Stayed here for a long weekend. It's a nice hotel right next to a T stop so access to transportation is not a problem. Close by foot to many points of interest. Good staff, nice room, so good overall.
"DoubleTree by Hilton Boston Downtown"
Very nice accomodations for the price. Great Crabtree& Evelyn soap! Next to Chinatown. A coffee pot during the day would be nice but Starbucks is in the building
"Excellent Location"
Location was perfect for dinner, dancing! Walking distance to everything! Staff was more than friendly and accommodating! We were very pleased with the hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat! Breakfast at a walking distance to South Street diner was amazing! Recommended by one of the staff!
"Convenient and affordable"
This hotel is right next to the orange line subway stop and tufts medical center, making it a convenient and affordable alternative in the downtown Boston Chinatown neighborhood. It is relatively small but has all the amenities, including a starbuck's right off of the lobby area. I would recommend it.

"Great Hotel"
The hotel was great, loved the free chocolate chip cookie. Really easy to get to and extremely convient if you wanna be in the thaeatre district or Boston Commons. Park around the corner at the Stuart St Garage though, you'll save $6 a day and its about a block from the hotel!

"Very good"
100% ok
My daughter stayed there while attending a Bruins game the staff was very helpful. They made her experiance in Boston a very positive one.
"Double tree Boston Tufts"
The Boston trip with my friends to catch the Frozen Fenway game was a huge success. The hotel was conveniently right next to the orange line stop at Tufts Medical Center, no more than a 20 yard walk! The complimentary Chocoloate Chip Cookie immediately made me like the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. Access to restaurants was only a few minutes […] walk. I also liked the fact that taking a cab back from Fenway only cost $10. I would choose to stay again when staying in the Boston Area. Read more
"Good Value"
The staff was SO nice… clean hotel, good sized room. I didn’t love the location and would likely choose something a bit closer to Beacon or Newbury Street my next visit. For the money though, this hotel could not be beat.

"Excellent location"
Excellent visit. The hotel was close to the hospital we had an appointment with. Also, TDGarden was nearby to watch a Celtic game. The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. Good location...

"Birthday Stay"
My boyfriend and I were very pleased with our stay. I was slightly familiar with the location as some friends of mine stayed there three years ago. I was pleased to find it was an excellent choice! We were able to walk to all the places we intended to go in the city, and the one time we decided to take the T it was practically right outside our door! It […] was great to be able to relax immediately when we got there & the bed gave us a fantastic nights sleep. Thank you for helping make my birthday extra special! Read more
"fun 21"
everything was clean, great and the choc chip cookies in the lobby were great!!!!
"New Years Eve weekend"
We had a great time. The concierge, Bill, was awesome. The rest of the staff were great too. My only complaint is the shower-low pressure and best for short people

"Party Town"
We stayed at Double Tree for my best friend's 22nd birthday. The location was great. All of the clubs were within walking distance. There is also a T stop directly in front of the hotel. The room was kind of small for how much the room cost. The room was super clean. The mattresses feel like clouds which killed my back but we got warm cookies when we […] checked in to make up for it! Too cute. Read more
"Good for one night"
Staff is very friendly but the hotel is a little run down. Good for a night or two but not sure I'd want to stay for more than that. My shower pressure was minimal and my toilet ran. The bed was pretty comfortable and the nice flat screen was great for watching TV.
"Boston Downtown Hotel"
Perfect location for a business trip. Affordable price for a great hotel.
"well placed, good quality, reasonably priced hotel"
Hotels in central Boston are expensive so I was a little concerned about the standards of this hotel as it was so much cheaper. We were pleasantly surprised as the staff were professional and friendly, the room was spotless, well equipped and in very good order. There was a bit of outside noise eg street cleaning, but that's what you get in the cit […] y! Read more
parking way to expensive
"Very convient to all of the south Boston sites."
Only complaint was a minor one but does bear mentioning. We were given a room that had not only not been cleaned but the previous guest had not removed all of their items. Hotel quickly moved us to another room, however I could have gone through other people's items if I had choosen before contacting the front desk. It would have been nice to have been […] offered a minor upgrade or complementary breakfast perhaps for the mistake but regardless the rest of the stay was impecable. Read more
