The front desk changed our room when requested (I don't like to stay in a handicap accessible room as I feel it needs to be available for someone who needs it.). The only problem was that the room was not freshened after the first night. We had enough towels, and when we told the front desk the next mornning, it was taken care of. Good breakfast each […] day. Convenient location for us. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We were dissapointed with the construction taking place in the lobby and halls. The air conditioner was subpar and had to be on constantly to maintain a comfortable tempature. The staff did not leave sufficient linens nor were we able to find staff to obtain additions towels and stuff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
If you are traveling and need to stay for a night or two. stay here. We were on our way to visit a college in Ohio and needed to break up our trip. It was just what we needed. A place in a good location, with quiet rooms, and comfortable beds. This was the place. Worth it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was excellent except for the pool was a bit cold and no hot tub and shower. Staff were efficient and kind.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for road trip break, great free breakfast"
Stayed one night on road trip comfortable (although a bit small) beds, easy to find, good price and one of the better complimentary breakfasts we've ever had!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The pool was disgusting. Could not swim on it as it was extremely dirty. Was very disappointed as it was a cold and rainy day and we were looking forward to it. The front desk was not helpful when I spoke to her about it. Other than the pool the hotel was clean the rooms were fantasticGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The stay was fine, but there were a couple of concerns. The floor (rug) in thhe room had not been vacumed. The bathtub had been badly damaged at some past time and my wife would not take a bath. Laslly a dirty coffee cup was found on the windowsill. The staff were friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Twenty minutes from Kissing Bridge forty to Holiday Valley. Good price, service and clean. Pool was a disappointment, since it was cold and no towels set out. Good restaurants, fast food close. Nearby and shopping.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfort Inn & Suites ant infestation and rude, rude staff"
03/27/15 Mike G Cuba, Missouri
I travel extensively for my job. I checked into the Comfort Inn & Suites in Hamlin NY. My room was infested with ants. After much discussion with inadequate staff my room was changed, 3 TIMES!!!! Each room was infested and the staff told me to bad to go someplace else. I was polite but clearly frustrated. The staff had no knowledge how to resolve this issue. When I checked out the staff charged me an additional $20 for the last night! How is it possible they can be so hateful and legally charge me more for a room that was infested with bugs? I would never recommend anyone waste their time with this place.
"Great Southtowns location in Western, NY"
02/20/15 Mfsnyder11050 Long Island, NY
We needed to stay in a hotel over Christmas because there was no room to stay with family. On our drive to Western, NY I did a search of hotels on my smart phone, in the Hamburg, NY area. Because we waited till the last minute to figure out our accommodations, there was a lot of pressure to find something quick. Since we needed a basic place to sleep, we felt the price point of Comfort Inn & Suites was reasonable and the had all of the amenities we were looking for. Our expectations were not only met, but they were exceeded! Check-in was fast and easy. Our room was clean, comfortable and large. We didn't expect so much space for a standard room, so we were pleasantly surprised. The king bed was comfortable. Bathroom was large with plenty of towels and counter space. Breakfast was surprisingly good with a variety of items to choose from. We really enjoyed making our own waffles. Our next visit to Western NY will be less stressful. We are already planning to stay at Comfort Inn & Suites.
"Friendly atmosphere, comfortable bed"
01/05/15 Deborah M Warren, Pennsylvania, United States
We stayed in Hamburg for the night on Christmas Eve. We decided to give the hotel a chance, in spite of the mixed reviews. The check-in process went fine. The clerk shared that there was a dog at one end of the hotel, so she is purposely putting us at the opposite end (nice!). The room was clean and comfortable, with all amenities except tissues, which the front desk supplied when requested. We rented a hot tub suite. The bed was comfortable, and the hot tub worked well, with no problems. Breakfast was the usual, waffle maker, bagels, toast, cereal, juice, etc. The eggs and sausage were adequate, replenished as I was in the breakfast area. We would definitely stay here again, very reasonably priced.
"Room too hot"
12/28/14 Julia I Madison, Wisconsin, United States
The other reviewers who said the rooms were too hot were right. Turning down thermostat to 60 had no discernible effect. We finally turned off heater. Granted it is an unseasonably warm december but still the hot room made it hard to sleep. Which was the main purpose of the one night stay during long drive. Front desk friendly and gave us what she said was the one room with king bed at standard rate. But neglected to tell us it was a handicapped room with special shower etx. It was fine but she could have told us. Breakfast fine. I liked the yogurt and my husband likes hot eggs and sausage. He said he could hear tv from lobby. I'd give it a lower rating (and we will not return) but it was reasonably priced and clean and had comfortable bed. And they were friendly about our dog.
"Better than last time"
11/03/14 Skibuddy Pa
We stayed here last year at this same time and the hotel was not very nice. At that time one of the legs on our table fell off and our laptop fell on the floor. After complaining we were disappointed that management would not give us a free night as most hotels have a guarantee that if you’re not completely satisfied that night is on them. Never the less, we decided to take a chance and give them another try. The place was better this year, but still has room for improvement. The back door was broken so there was no security as anyone could simply open the door without a key. The room was very clean. They have new Flat screen TVs but ours didn’t work, but in their defense they sent a man over right away and he fixed it very quickly. The rooms have been renovated since our last visit and they are very nice. They have new beds with nice firm mattresses and the showers have been updated with plenty of hot water. The WI-FI worked very well and had a strong signal. The breakfast was good with scrambled eggs and sausage, a waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, yogurt. bagels, cereal, toast, etc... Coffee and Tea are available all the time.
"Ok Rooms, bad breakfast !"
10/09/14 Michael B Port Rowan
I have stayed here several times and while the rooms are OK there is little to no breakfast. The last two times there wasn't coffee ! I did ask if they were going to put out any hot breakfast, and was told no ! This was at 7 am and breakfast started at 6:30. There was no yogurt, no hard boiled eggs and only a couple old lonely pieces of fruit. You might as well stay next door at the Red Roof Inn at least they have coffee.
"Line up of hotels off the I-90E"
10/07/14 Rupie6 Florida City, Florida
I stopped when I spotted a line of hotels, and good that I did as the next morning it was a long way before I spotted another. I drove first to Holiday Inn, but the desk clerk for so un helpful that her price of $119+tax seemed absurd. I went around the curb to the next hotel, a comfort inn and suites. (NY280). The outside is dated looking so I was not even going to go in, but what the heck. Inside had been remodeled and was very urban and nice....but that doesn't mean the rooms are, as you know. The price was attractive at $80, so I took a chance. Not as upscale as a holiday inn, but nice puffy beds with lots of soft and medium pillows to choose from. I was happy enough with sausage and eggs, plenty of selection for juice, bread, yogurts, fruits. Total bill was $91.00. Liked it.
"Would not recommend"
10/05/14 Lisa7462 Cincinnati, Ohio
We stopped here on our way back for just a one night stop over stay. Thank goodness it was just one night!! The hotel is terrible, the room was so hot that we could barely sleep, had to borrow a fan from the front desk just to make it bearable. No sense switching rooms because they said it was the same in the entire hotel. The corporate offices gave the explanation that in all Choice hotels the AC does not work well when it is cool outside because it is some kind of "green eco friendly system". We stayed in another choice hotel on this same trip though and did not experience this issue. Other issues were the security lock was broken off on our door, the elevator made so many noises that I wouldn't even get on it and took the stairs and the breakfast wasn't even something I would eat. Would not stay here again even though the staff tried to help and they did give a discount on the room due to the problems. If wasn't so tired would have just asked for a refund and gone someplace else.
"fair for the price"
08/26/14 meinahotel Florida Panhandle, Florida
Clean open suite (no couch - refrigerator & 2 chairs with small table). Toilet ran. but a good room overall. Minimal breakfast comprised of fake tasting powdered eggs and sausage patties. Hard boiled eggs, dry cereal & bagels/small pastry. (No bananas) But apples literally the size of golf balls - no joke. If email or web-surfing for your next destination is important, bring your own hotspot because you will wait 20 minutes for the page to change on your laptop if it doesn't time out (should you really press next again if you are buying your next room again in fear of buying twice????). A call to the front desk was reply'd with "its because we are all on at the same time", and we reset the router last Saturday"...come'on, really?
"It was fine"
08/19/14 JG166 North Carolina
The HIE was sold out so I stayed here. The public spaces are worn and oddly laid out. (No stairway from the second floor to the first?). The breakfast was basic. My room was clean and comfortable. It's a reasonable choice.
