"close to massey hall"
friend and I were very pleased. very comfortable beds. Poutinerie across the street. Streetcar stops in front of hotel. jacuzzi was great. 5 minute walk to massey hall, yonge street, dundas square, hard rock cafe, eaton centre, imperial bar and grill...
"No complaints...."
Just your regular hotel room. Staff, and function of, were impeccable. Walking distance (about 5 blocks) to Eaton Centre, et al. Trolley line immediately accessible from hotel. Decent neighborhood. Valet parking only, $30 per night.

Great staff, good location if you don't mind walking
The only problem was that there are no conditions for desabled people in the bathtub (handrails & slippery bathhtub floor,
"Great location"
We had a great experience in this hotel, the location was superb, a couple of blocks to get to the highway, walking distance to many area attractions, and the service at the front desk and valet were excellent.
"nice hotel; crappy neighborhood"
very clean, beautifully kept and nicely furnished. pretty crappy area w/ a homeless shelter a block away and a dubious area on three sides...far more guys begging on the streets than anywhere in ny!

"It was okay"
Our stay at this Hilton Garden Inn was okay. The room was clean and the location was convenient (walking distance to the Eaton Center and public transit). However the neighborhood seemed a little rough for what I expected to see surrounding a Hilton. One of our two beds had a worn-out mattress and was not comfortable for an adult to sleep in. The staff […] were helpful overall, however the housekeeping crew kept forgetting things... First day was towels, second was mugs, basically I had to call every day to ask for certain things that they forgot to leave in the room. It was an okay stay overall. Read more
"Hilton Hotel"
The hotel was very nice and clean. The continental breakfast ($10) is a expensive considering the price of the room. And be prepared to pay $30 a night for parking. Just park your vehicle and use public transportation - bus, subway, trolley by getting a one day pass that covers 2 adults and 4 children for $10 all day. Best way to get around Toronto […] area! "Hilton Garden Inn"
The hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly. I liked the Valet parking, but would have liked a way to get to my vehicle without having it brought to me because I like to leave items in the car that I won't be needing until I need it. I travel on my own with my three young children (all under 8yrs old) so I have many things to bring with me. The […] concierge was very polite and helped us tremendously with directions and places to go. I enjoyed my two night stay. Anything that makes my travel with my children easier, is fantastic. Thank you for a pleasant stay and vacation. Read more
"Pleased"
Great hotel & service. Not the best area but no big deal. No one is pushy.
"No hot water, rude staff - do not recommend"
I would never recommend this hotel. The staff was rude. We had no hot water all weekend long. We had asked for rooms next to each - instead they gave us rooms on different floors...again, very rude staff.

"Hilton Toronto Centre City/Dundas"
Not a great location. Have to walk to actual center of the city. New developments look promising for the location. Hotel on the other hand was very well maintained, friendly staff and great services. Would recommend and stay again. Definitely consider this hotel for your stay in Toronto!
STAFF WAS VERY COURTEOUS & HELPFUL. I DID NOT LIKE PAYING $30/DAY FOR THE PARKING.
"Hotel in Toronto close to Canon Theatre"

"great choice for downtown toronto"
Clean, modern, comfortable hotel with friendly staff
"Toronto Downtown"
Hotel in downtown area close to main attractions of the city. The staff ws very friendly kind and professional. The Night Manager Mr. M. was very friendly and hospitable. Even it was full non smoking hotel one of previous owner of our room apparently wrapped the alarm with saran wrap and smoked in the room. (Housekeeper alert: Saran wrap was still on […] the smoke detector.) Read more
price was great, but bad cigarette smell in the room although it was supposed to be non-smoker, a few bums in the area but not dangerous, bar was closed although it should have been open, staff was helpful, bed was great, especially mattress, cleanliness of bathroom just ok
"THe Hilton Garden Inn"
The hotel was friendly, courteous, and affordable. Very nicely decorated and the room was spacious and clean. It is close to all shopping and entertainment which was a plus. Overall a great experience.

"Wonderful Hotel"
Great hotel, on the edge of a shady part of town but you can walk to young st. Very nice room and comfy bed.
"Standard sort of Hilton, no problems."
Hotel was nice and clean, staff were friendly, we had no problems.
"Hilton Garden Inn Toronto - Family Friendly"
I was incredibly impressed with the entire staff's generosity and kindness during our stay. When we arrived, quite late on our first night, the night manager was incredibly nice and accomodating, especially since I was dealing with just me and my 3 year old son while trying to sign papers, etc. Then, when the housekeeping staff cleaned the room, they […] tucked my son's stuffed bears under a blanket, making them looked relaxed and cozy when we returned later. It was absolutely adorable and I greatly appreciated these details. I will definately stay here again! Read more

"Awesome hotel"
Everything was perfect. Location, style, convenience, price, quality, service. One minor thing: They didn't have coffee for us. They said they ran out.
"Almost perfect - just don't go East"
Great hotel with great rates. Only complaints: the hot tub could've been cleaner and $30 for parking (even valet) is a bit out of line with the location. Neighbourhood to the East is scuzzy but like the rest of T.O. - even the scuzzy parts are safe. Great rooms, linens, restaurant - everything that you expect from a Hilton location. Two small tips: 1. […] If you are elderly or have trouble walking let them know when you book - some rooms are far from the elevators. 2. The restaurant ads in the elevator sell a 'cooked to order' breakfast. It MEANS a buffet breakfast including cooked to order items. My mis-reading resulted in me paying $15 for my 2 year old to eat two bites of an omlette (I thought I'd be able to order just toast for her). I would definitely recommend this place for a family trip or a business trip. Read more

Close to everything! $30 a day to park, but it's the big city.

"Exceptional Room Quality"
The hotel was great right from the initial check-in. The room was spacious and very nice. The bed was amazing and guaranteed a good nights sleep. The location provided some walk but was overall accessible to most of Toronto's tourist destinations.
"Nice Hotel close to downtown."
Hotel lobby was very nice, and the check-in was quick. Room was clean and modern. Valet parking was a bit of a pain, as the front driveway is barely one car wide and only three cars long. Location is great, close to downtown shopping and many attractions.
"Toronto Garden City Center - Dundas Street"
While the interior of the hotel was lovely, the surrounding neighborhood was not. There is an exotic dancer establishment directly across the street from the hotel with neon signs that lit up our sitting area at night. Advertising "these are the kind of girls your momma warned you about" - it wasn't fun explaining what the establishment was to my 10 […] yr old. Also, I was not confident walking around past dark in the surrounding neighborhood. The drain in our shower didn't work properly - taking a typical shower left you standing in 3 inches of stagnant water. The safe wasn't working when we arrived either - we needed to contact the Desk to come and fix it. When the room above us used their whirlpool tub it sounded like they would be coming right through the floor it was so loud. The valet parking was $30 a day which I found drastically overpriced; we walked everywhere and never used our vehicle but still paid the $30/day for the car to remain in the underground garage. On a lighter note - the staff was very friendly and helpful. Read more
"5 Stars, Eh??"
Going to Canada is an experience in and of itself, but going there and spending it at this hotel helped to push our trip into overdrive. The room was clean, the bed was huge, the shower was EPIC and by god it was accurately rated 5 stars in romance.

"Great hotel, but don't let the name fool you"
The Hilton Garden Inn City Center is a clean, new, reasonably priced hotel with a nice simple hotel restaurant attached. I had a very pleasant stay. The only problem is that it is not in the "city center." Located a few blocks east of Younge St on Dundas, it is not easy walking distance from downtown. But, if you dont mind a few $10-$15 cab rides from […] the center of town, then it's the perfect location. Read more
"Great room for the money"
Excellent accomodations!!!
"Amazing room for the money!"
I stayed for one night at the Hilton Garden Inn, and I was pleasantly surprised from the minute I walked in the hotel! The lobby was beautiful, and the room was even better! The room we had was large and very clean and the decor was fabulous. The bathroom was large, and clean as well. Valet parking was extra and a bit pricey for my budget, however […] there was a pay parking lot directly across the street for 1/2 of the price. We parked there and had no problems. We expected this since parking is usually extra in cities. This hotel was wonderful! I'll definitely stay again on my next trip to Toronto. Read more

"Elegant Hotel"
The hotel was within walking distance to many popular locations in Toronto, the room was very clean and spacious and the pool was quiet and also very clean. Valet parking cost extra, but we were able to leave our car for a few extra hours after checkout, which saved us from having to pay for public parking after we had checked out. Would definitely […] recommend this hotel! Read more
"Great room for the money"
The hotel and room were a lot nicer than we expected based on what we paid. The room was fairly large. The bathroom was small but clean.
