The hotel owners need to invest in fixing up this hotel. Repairs and updating are needed everywhere. The lamp shades were all broken, ink and other stains on bedspreads and comforters, ice machine was broken, there were no clean bath towels, and the waffle iron did not have spray or a waffle fork to help release hot waffles. The location was good it was near the amenities we needed. The evening Hostess was good but everything else was horrible. The sink was falling off the wall , the toilet wobbled to the point we thought it was going to fall over and it looked like there was dried feces smeared on the walls. The place was in disappointing disrepair, even for the price point. It was livable, but only just. The breakfast was a bit dismal, and ended at 9am. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was reasonably clean.

One reason we picked this hotel was because it advertised an in door pool. The pool was not operable which happens, but they should at least put the temporary outage in their advertising. Even the sign at the hotel still advertises the pool. We would have overlooked this but the ice machine didn't work either.

Worst motel I have ever booked at...easily. Entire building reeked of a musty, moldy smell and there were water stains everywhere...on walls, ceilings, on carpets...it was bad. I booked 2 rooms for a one night stay side by side, adjoining if possible for my wife, 3 kids (ages 10, 7, and 3), and I on our trip to North Carolina. Upon arriving, I was told […] they had given away the only adjoining suites they have and they also didn't have two rooms available side by side or even across the hall from one another. They wanted to put us on separate floors! After a "discussion," the guy at the desk decided they could put us on the same floor but the rooms would be on opposite sides of the hall and not across from one another. I wasn't happy but I was tired and figured we could deal for one night...until we got to the rooms. They smelled worse than the lobby and the lock on one of the rooms didn't work at all...you could actually just push the door open without using the card key. We asked for our money back and went across the street to the Holiday Inn Express instead. It cost us an extra $40 but it was WELL worth it. I got the impression from the front desk guy's reaction that this isn't a rare occurrence. The lady at Holiday Inn said we were the second group that evening that had left "Quality" Inn and requested rooms from her. I have stayed at Quality Inn's in other locations and have never had a problem but this was just awful. I'd be ashamed to have my company's name on this dump. Read more

The advertised fitness room does not exist. In addition, the pool opens at 11:00 a.m., and, not coincidentally, check out is 11:00 a.m. I asked for additional blankets and was told there were none. The shower barely worked. The only positive thing I can say is that the bed was comfortable.

I only needed one night in order to attend graduation the next day, and I brought my parents and my daughter. When we arrived, we were told that the elevator was out of service, so we had to use the stairs. My parents were in no shape to use the stairs (much less carry luggage up); yet, no assistance or concession was offered for this inconvenience. […] We got to our room; and when we opened the refrigerator door to place our water there, we discovered that half a pizza still remained from the previous guest(s). I took the box of pizza downstairs to the front desk and informed the clerk that the pizza had been left giving her clear indication that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. Although embarrassed, the clerk offered no compunction for this either. As I sat and listened to the chatter of guests at breakfast the next morning, the biscuits and gravy was not an item on the breakfast buffet that championed good reviews by anyone. I felt that a lot of care and thoughtfulness for guest comfort did not accompany the accommodations during my stay. Read more

on the plus side, excellent breakfast bar, comfortable bed, easy to find off Interstate. However, coffee pot was missing its basket, TV remote needed a new battery (would not operate), and bathroom ceiling fan made such a racket that it could not be used.

Lobby smelled horrible. I was afraid to touch the button on the elevator (something was all over the wall) and was there the whole time. Room was dirty. There was a hole (the size of a softball) in the wall. Phone didn't work to call lobby and was dirty. Room wasn't cleaned, there was garbage next to the far bed. I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN!!! When we checked in, they seemed unfamiliar with registering people who booked online from hotels.com. They wanted my credit card to run it, and finally realized it was already paid for. Then we go check out the room and flip the switch and the lights don’t come on. We check the other lights as well, and some you have to […] twist the bulb and hope you get the light to come on when you turn the switch. One didn’t come on at all, and we had to plug the other one up. We learned to live with it. I tried to use the wireless internet, and when I connected it had limited connectivity and wouldn’t even let me surf the net. I tried to call the front desk about it, and the phone wouldn’t dial the front desk. They didn’t even have a phone number list of hotel extensions or how to use the phone anywhere in the room. So I had to go down to the front desk to complain. So their solution was to try to connect to one of the other available connection points. I am using the internet from another router from another motel. Go figure. The alarm clock didn’t go off, and we didn’t get a wake up call because we didn’t ask for one. Good thing I set my cell phone alarm. They had a chewed up ink pen, I’m sorry but I don’t want to use a chewed up ink pen from someone else. Not very sanitary. They say free HBO. Well HBO kept cutting in and out, and I couldn’t even watch it. The other channels were fine. But the channel list in the room needs updated. It listed TNN as one of the channels, and TNN hasn’t been a channel since it turned into SPIKE. The wall socket was loose, the ice machine was broke, you had to ask for ice at the front desk, and it seemed that there was never a person behind the counter. The safety lock was loose on the door. I have stayed at several places in this area, and this is the best choice of all of them. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Bed are nice and firm and blankets are soft and cozy. Continental breakfast is served and has a good variety. Large indoor heated pool is very nice. Took the family pet with us, they never blinked about him when I checked in […] and also never charged me for him even though is says $10 fee. Stayed on a weekend, lots of families there, so if you don't like lots of little kids running around, avoid this place, definitely a family hotel. Read more

This hotel was well kept and very comfortable. During our brief stay (overnight en route on I-64), there were only a few concerns. The clerk on duty when we checked in (around 9) appeared to have forgotten to bring in the crib requested until he was reminded. In the morning there was what appeared to be kitty litter and two pieces of poop scattered […] around the dining area. I can't say that anyone informed the staff, but all the same, it was not swept while I was there. Very disappointed in the service we recieved and then the manager didn't offer us anything either. That night should have been free, due to our stress!!! On a good note our girls Volleyball team APSU beat Morehead in the final for the OVC and so we left with a championship!!!! So we were content!!! Still will never go back!!!

We had a overall enjoyable time during our six day stay. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We even played cards in the lobby every night.
