We seldom travel where we need to stay in a hotel, so we have little to compare to. Our room was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced for the area. The restaurant had good food and service, and was also reasonably priced. Staff was pleasant. We would stay there again.

Friendly people. The bed are very firm, so we had a hard time sleeping. But the room was clean. The hotel offers breakfast, but it is not free. You get a 20% discount if you eat at the restaurant that is attached to the hotel which we did. Breakfast was priced fairly and was delicious. The hotel had a good location close to restaurants etc and free parking. It is old and towels etc are worn but overall doable for a short stay. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We got 20% off from a breakfast at the hotel. We did not see another hotel that looked better that wasn't B&B.

stay is ok. my companion contacted the front desk if possible to advise me to pick them up at Luray tavern because my T-Moble Celphone was not not working. The clerk responded she could not do it because of Company policy. Now judge the clerk action...need more training or call management attention.

I booked room for 4 persons. there were notowels, shampoo and soap for 4 persons. dryer was out of order. internet was totaly out of service.

Luray isn't a very big town but this hotel is at a good location if you want to spend time in Shenandoah National Park. Bathroom wasn't real clean but room was good overall. Good for a weekend trip!

Old place. Bathroom was like an ice box. You had to were shoes in the bathroom because it was so cold. Could not get the bathroom heated up. It was like the bathroom was open directly to the outside.

I booked this hotel because most of the hotels in the area had no vacancy and after reading the negative reviews, my sister and I considered not checking in at all. However, we decided to push through with the stay and we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were very nice, the lobby and the room were very clean. For my birthday, which the Best Western knew about, the staff of Luray signed a card for me and left sweet, colorful flowers in my room for me! I was so touched by their thoughtfulness. I believe it was Roger who coordinated this lovely gesture. I definitely enjoyed my room; bed was firm; everything was clean; location was great (I went to Luray Caverns […] the next day). I give this MOTEL very low ratings mainly because of the smoke-filled NON-SMOKING room. It was clear from the smell that earlier guests had smoked in the room. When I complained to the front desk, I was told that "some people just have no respect" -- a tacit acknowledgement that people are smoking in non-smoking rooms. When I returned home, all of our […] clothes had the smoky smell in them. The front desk person did give me a can of air freshener, but it did nothing to mask the grained in smell of cigarette smoke. The pictures on the website are misleading. This is a dinky little motel with a dinky little pool. The Mimslyn Inn, which is directly across the street was only $11 more per night and offered accommodations clearly on a much better scale. Read more

I enjoyed my stay, I was just disappointed that the pool wasn't open earlier in the day; only becuase the manager hadn't come to work yet. I think it just had opened at 8am.

This hotel needs to upgrade its bed linens and carpeting - also the bathroom lights need to be brighter. Too many flies - we know it is the middle of summer but for a Best Western chain we expected it to be better than the other lower chains. For a few dollars more we could have stayed at the Mimslyn Inn (unfortunately it was full).

We reserved the room several weeks ahead for 4 people. When we arrived at the hotel and decided to go to the pool I noticed we only had 3 towels in our room. I stopped at the front desk to ask for pool towels and for another towel for the room. I was given 2 towels for the pool--for 4 people. I mentioned that we only had 3 towels in the room. The woman […] at the front desk then proceeded to tell me that they are only "required to put 3 towels in a room". I explained that we reserved way ahead of time for 4 people who all want to take showers. She commented that even though the room had 2 queen sized beds usually only 2 people stayed in the room. I again mentioned that we had 4 people and they knew that before we checked in--to which she just repeated that they are only "required to put 3 towels in a room". I shrugged my shoulders and went to the pool confused by her lack of common sense. She finally did bring 2 more towels to the pool. I wonder if she had to call Best Western's corporate offices for approval to break the 3 towel requirement. :) Overall the hotel was fine but the employees obviously need better training. Read more

Despite its convenient location downtwon, flies are everywhere in the room. We killed more than 6 flies in a day. Don't know where they come from. May be because of it's location down under a valley. Go to find some other better hotels without flies.

We found it very easliy and the staff was very friendly. The room was clean, the only problem we had was figuring out how to get the tv to work it wouldn't come on the way it was suppose to and it got very frustrating and we noticed that the maid never changed the sheets when she was cleaning the room. Our room, 103 was clean and neat and looked out at the pool. Fridge and microwave are worth so much when traveling, so glad it was included. I felt safe and comfortable, slept great, staff was very nice. The singing tower and caverns are around the corner, town restaurants and greenway are blocks away Walmart/McDonald's just a mile down the road.

This rooms were updated and clean. Staff was pleasant. The pool was not so great looking, so we didn't bother. Location was ideal for tourist attractions. All in all, well worth the price and would stay again.

The pool was being work on during our stay. They did not have the workers taking safety measures. i.e. they were cutting the concrete around the pool but not wearing dust masks. After they opened the pool, i was afraid of concrete dust particles in the water.

Hotel très correct, situé un peu en dehors du centre, mais pas trop. Bien tenu, à prix raisonnable, silencieux avec un personnel de réception fort aimable font qu'en plus de sa proximité du Shenandoa NP je recommande cet endroit.
