"Do you really want to watch yourself on the toilet"
The room was disappointing. We were expecting a king bed, but instead had a queen and it was smaller than our queen bed at home. The bed was too close to the wall, and the bathroom vanity was too close to the bed, so when I was doing my hair & makeup, the light was shining in my husband's eyes while he was still resting. "Misled and disappointed."
Website misleading. Room ok, but not really a suite; just one big room. No extra pillows/blankets in closet. Pool was not appealing at all - pretty much a concrete hole with a metal fence around it. They ran out of regular dishes at breakfast and I had to use paper plates both days we were there (food ok). Side door to the hotel that was closest to […] where our car was parked, didn't quite open all the way so when you exited the building, you kind of stumbled because you expected the door to go further than it actually does. The printer in their business center was old and wasn't working. Had to get the front desk person to help fix it (he was nice about it at least). We checked in about 10:00pm on a Saturday and got the wifi code ok, but they failed to tell us that the code changes on Sundays. In the morning I was trying to use my iPad at breakfast and it told me I had the wrong code. I went to the front desk and this is when I was told about the code change. Their convenience food area was pretty weak with selections. There was a horrible smell in the stairwells and the stairwell carpets were dirty and needed serious cleaning or replacement. The toiletries provided in the room only included shampoo and bar soap; conditioner and body wash would've been nice (normally I bring my own but this trip I was trying to pack light.) This weekend was in a King suite, MUCH better the double queen "suite" and had a double sized whirlpool tub w/shower in the bathroom.....very nice. We stayed here the night before we flew out of DFW. Overall I had a great time at the hotel. They allowed me to check in early, which was fantastic but they gave me the wrong room. Because of their mistake I got a free upgrade to a suite which was fantastic! The only problems were that there is only 1 luggage cart for the hotel and an employee was using […] it to transport boxes when I got there and needed it. "My personal experience"
The location was great but I booked this hotel because it was a Wyndam property. It was very dated and run down. The bed and pillows were terrible. When I pull up the outside was rather unimpressive, however it was like openging a brown bag and finding some diamonds! Friendly staff, clean rooms, nicely decorated, quiet, good energy. I stayed for two nights. The suite was awesome with modern decor. They serve a breakfast buffet that included eggs, bacon, french toast and waffles. Also, they had muffins and cereal. Nice hotel. Elevator ride was scary. Very shaky and old looking... Room was very clean and smelled good. Lady at counter wasn't very fourth coming with info. The drivers were very friendly, and informative. The staff at the front desk were always on their cell phones and were no helpful at all. Every time i would go to the front desk they had me standing and waiting until they were done using their cell phones to answer any question i had. I expected better customer service. We stayed overnight and used their park n fly service. They shuttled us to the airport and promptly picked us up when we arrived back in Dallas. We planned on staying in a nice hotel with swimming facilities where we could relax. This hotel was in poor condition. The swimming pool was not clear, had junk all on the bottom and was too dirty to even stick our feet in, much less swim. The hot tub had bugs floating in it and stunk.
