It was very disappointing. It took almost an 1 1/2 hours for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport, at 9:00 at night! We had 3 little children with us! It was only a 10 min drive once they came! The first time I was there, parking while traveling was free; this time they charged me $10 per day. The mattress was too soft and I had difficulty sleeping - others may think it is great, but too soft for me. Took them nearly an hour to get to the airport to pick me up after I returned. the hotel was clean. The side door badge reader didn't work so I had to go all the way around in the middle of the night. Housekeeping started cleaning loudly at 0700 and my flight got in at midnight so that was a great wake up. For one, we paid for a double "queen" bed suite only to find they do not offer double queen bed suites. we were given a standard double bed. In fact their "queen" beds are actually FULL sized beds which made it very uncomfortable trying to sleep with my 2 young children in one bed. "Do not stay here"
First off I never write reviews but felt it necessary as this was the worst hotel stay I've ever had. The hotel was initially nice enough on first impression. Hiccup at check-in since I was told I would not be charged for parking after my nights stay as we were flying out the next morning. They did compromise and charge me a lesser rate for the 3 nights. […] The room was on the third floor and was sweltering!! Air conditioner was not cooling properly - informed front desk who said it would cool off after sundown. Nothing was done about it since they were fully booked. They would not refund money so we could go somewhere else - said we would have to take it up with Expedia. I literally had to get towels soaked in ice water for each of my family members because we were sweating all night. Worst nights sleep before an early flight! They gave us a box fan after we kept complaining. The clerk joked that maybe we could get our parking for free for the inconvenience. Do not stay here as they obviously have maintenance issues. Honestly, this hotel is ok. Service was friendly but it's an old hotel and you can feel it. The walls are thin and the carpet felt dirty.. There was a part of the hallway that smelt like fried fish.. "great place to stay the night before a long flight"
I stayed at this hotel for just one night before a long marathon of flights that started the following morning. There's not a lot of restaurants, shopping, or other distractions nearby, but it's a perfect place to get a solid night's sleep before travel. The hotel also offers shuttle service to DFW. "Could have been nice..."
We were pleased with the room and cleanliness, but baseball teams staying at the hotel and a midnight fire alarm made our stay a nightmare. The kids next door were literally bouncing off the wall. A call to the front desk didn't help, so had to confront them ourselves. We weren't the only ones they were disturbing. They were running up and down the […] halls after the 1:00am fire alarm, which was caused by a client burning tacos in their room. The staff couldn't turn off the alarm, so had to wait until it could be done by the fire dept. I was concerned when we checked in and another client was checking out early to go to a different hotel, which cost them a nights fee. "No customer service"
I stayed at this hotel since they had an airport shuttle. I arrived in the evening and as I was getting off the plane I called the hotel to arrange the shuttle. After 2 minutes of ringing, the line went dead. I called back 3 times and the same result. Since their website said to call for the shuttle, I called the 800 reservation line and the girl there […] said she would call the hotel. I was on hold for 8 minutes and she came back and said she could not get them to answer either. So I took a cab - $27. When I arrive at the hotel, two people behind the desk were talking with 2 friends on the other side. They at first said the phone never range and I had the wrong number, I showed them the call history from my phone and then he said that they are having phone problems and the phone at the desk was not working. I called the number and he was correct, except another phone less than 10 feet away was working and was ringing, and he said, "see, this phones does not ring, I don't know why the other one works and this one does not. I guess John did not think to answer the other phone. I asked to be reimbursed for the cab and John said no. But another guy (no name badge) looked at my account and said that he would credit my account, except since I booked thru Hotels.com they could not give me a credit or any compensation.
