The condition of the hotel in general was very poor, especially for the price. When I made the reservation the reservationist said it was a Hilton which it was not. The staff were very good and accommodating, but the room I was first assigned was not made up by noon or by the time I returned at 6:00 p.m. The staff (Jake) got me to another room, which was a good move on his part. It was OK. The only complaint is that they do not clean your room while you are there. We were there 5 days and they did not clean the room while we were there. They were very good to bring towels when we called. Hotel was very quiet. Great for getting a good nights rest. They are very polite.

Stayed there. I was put in a smoking room which really smelled bad. Cigarette ashes still at places around the desk table etc. (Probably should've just asked to change rooms). The room was filthy. Even though they only do room clean up every 7 days, they should have cleaned up a pile of trash left by former guests. We stayed 2 nights. I asked them twice to remove the trash, but they ignored my request.

Great location, nice park and place to walk behind the hotel. Shopping nearby. However, the fragrance used during cleaning was overwhelming when we arrived. Many people are sensitive to fragrance as are my father and I - I had to open the window and turn on the bathroom fan while we left to get rid of the overpowering scent!

Probably the most disappointing hotel stay we have ever had. Way past due for renovation. Hotel lobby very dirty, clerk was inattentive. This place is gross! My kids didn't even like the place. The lawn was covered in dog crap, and when I say covered... The dog tirds outnumbered the cigarette butts...and believe me there were plenty of cigarette butts... Nasty! The beds are the worst I've slept in. My 6 year old slept on the floor because he hated the bed so bad! I'm not exagerating! The […] kitchenette was equipted with very little. We had one bowl for my whole family. So much for eating breakfast in the room. The coffee mugs doubled as a cereal bowl for our stay. Save your money. This was a good place to stay because of the great Sugarhouse location. The room was comparable with the better Motel 6es, but with a kitchenette that comes with some very basic equipment. It's perhaps not the best if you want to spend a lot of time in the room, but I had business on the south east side of Salt Lake City and just needed a place to sleep. […] The fridge was very noisy so I unplugged it. The room was clean except for black mold around the bath seal - strange, as the tile grout was fresh. The rooms are set up like small apartments and housekeeping is provided on request for a small charge. There is also a charge for Internet access. Breakfast is easy to find within walking distance. OK, so this is an extended stay property and that should have been a hint. I chose this hotel for proximity to my mother's house but a bit of a commute would not have been an issue compared to the horror of The Homestead. There were a number of hotel "guests" hanging about the balconies and when we went out for air the first thing we observed was a drug deal in the small wooded area behind the hotel. I was on the second floor, and every time the sink upstairs ran, my sink filled with a soapy mess that reeked.
