The hotel rooms needs to be updated. I asked for new linens and towels and that I would like my room cleaned and they wouldn't clean it. They made me bring my dirty towels to the front desk. The carpet was a little dirty and the kitchen area was outdated other than that it was ok for the price.

Check was FAST and EASY, the STAFF was EXTREMELY HELPFUL and very FRIENDLY. The ROOMS were COMFY and extremely COZY. I only BOOKED the ROOM to GETAWAY and this trip to HOMESTEAD made that POSSIBLE.

I had a really horrible time at this motel. I made a reservation for a non-smoking room; however I got a smoking room. Even worse, I was not informed until I called the front desk once I got in the room. All that I heard was that there is no available non-smoking room (regardless of the room size). Surprisingly, the clerk at the front desk told me […] that she did not know if I asked for a non-smoking room, and also she did not know that what kind of room she assigned to me. All she knew was just 'double bed room'. I am confused. Did she ever know or pay attention what kind of reservation and request she had? Also I wonder what kind of information and request would be sent from hotels.com to the motel/hotel. What kind of reservation is this? Why there was the option for smoking / non-smoking? Even worse, why the clerk who was responsible for this did not know what kind of reservation I made for? Does she ever know what kind of room the motel has? After a long conversation over the phone, the clerk finally said 'sorry'. The microwave was really dirty and I do not think the room was actually got cleaned and ready for us to stay. I have booked and lodged at hotels representing the entire hotel portfolio continuum for the St. Louis area (Westport, Downtown, St. Charles, Clayton, Maryland Heights, Casinos, etc.). If you want a decent room with a good mattress in an area with GREAT access to I-70, I-270, […] Lindbergh Blvd, STL airport, downtown, St. Charles, Westport, and the casinos (I use to live in STL and I am an experienced traveler), stop obsessing over your choices and simply book this hotel. Dollar for dollar, this is probably the best hotel deal you will find. CAUTION: Call the hotel if you are driving to get SPECIFIC directions to get to the hotel. If you are not a local, you will be totally lost if you miss the ONE & ONLY ONE WAY RIGHT hand turn on to the street for the hotel. The mattress in our room was BETTER than the pricey hotel suite rooms (Harrahs, Embassy, etc.) we booked in the STL area. If you want a GREAT breakfast, pay for the Embassy buffet that is across the street. Parlay your savings to happy hour and dinner at the Crowne Plaza's (next door) on site TGI Fridays. It was about the cheapest hotel that we could find in the area and it's only rated two stars so we weren't expecting much. It ended up slightly better than we expected, our room did have a full kitchen, I think they all do. Slightly annoying that we had to go get soap and shampoo from front desk.

representatives are rude. I booked for the a 2-double bed room and paid money. They gave me a room and when I opened the door, there were two people occupying the room. It was embarrassing.
