My fiancé and I stayed here because we went out into old town to celebrate cinco de mayo, and didn't want to drive home intoxicated. Its a decent hotel, but queen bed felt more like a full size, and was VERY hard and uncomfortable. Other than that, it's a decent hotel at a decent price.

I was there for two 5 night stays for business. It was clean, safe, and in a great location. Waking distance to restaurants and stores. The kitchenette, and full size fridge came in handy. Not fancy by any stretch and kind of "cozy" but it suited my purpose perfectly. The price for old town Scottsdale was a bargin.

This is a good bargain for Scottsdale. No, a GREAT bargain for Scottsdale. The location was quiet. There was a 24 hour Walgreens less than a 5 min. walk from my room to pick up the things I forgot.

This was a conveniently located and comfortable place to stay. Located right in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale just steps away from shops, entertainment, dining and a major bus line. There is some confusion with taxi and shuttle companies as they still recognize this as a Homestead so just be aware when being transported from the airport. If you arrive […] after lobby hours it's okay as they offer "24 hour" check in just call ahead to inform them the staff is very friendly. Once inside the room it was clean and cozy like a little apartment equipped with a fully stocked kitchenette. Having the kitchenette saved us money and allowed us to, preserve restaurant takeouts, stick to our special diet by shopping an preparing food, and even boil and paint eggs as a family for that Easter weekend visit. Extended Stay Scottsdale is great for short or long term visits. Very friendly staff, reliable free WiFi, continental breakfast, convenient quiet central location. I definitely will stay there for my next visit to AZ. Read more

After reading quite a few of the other reviews on this hotel, I was bracing myself for anything from a decent experience to a REALLY bad experience. As it turned out, we got there and the girl at the front desk informed us that our room wasn't ready because they JUST had some employees quit. She was very polite and sorry for the inconvenience. I told […] her that we'll be satisfied as long as we have clean sheets and clean bath towels. She asked me if they could have an hour to get the room ready and I was okay with that. We strolled around nearby Old Scottsdale for over an hour (not hard to do) and when we got back, our room was ready. We definitely had clean sheets and plenty of clean towels and everything else seemed okay, considering what we paid for a hotel in the middle of Old Scottsdale! Note: If you want ice cubes, fill up the trays in the freezer as soon as you get into your room (no ice machine). There's a pool, but no hot tub. This hotel was perfect for spring training - definitely walkable to Scottsdale Stadium. I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews below - they're very hot or cold but the room was exactly what I wanted. I never had any problems, the room was clean, hot water was always available, the sheets were typical of any other hotel. The room was […] nicely appointed and I love having a toaster, microwave, coffee maker and full fridge in the room. The air conditioner does blow right onto the bed but moving the chair is an easy fix for that issue - I liked that it was temperature controlled as opposed to just generic high/low. The bedside lamps in my room didn't work, but that didn't really bother me - I let the front desk know on the way out as I figured it could bother others. There was no hairdryer in the bathroom, which I wish I had thought to look for before I left so I could pack one. The shower is just a shower (no tub) and had a shower curtain that made it seem a little smaller than it actually was. There is a walgreens about half a block away that has basic groceries. I would recommend this hotel to friends for Spring Training or for Old Town Scottsdale. Read more

We had a nice time. I wish they had dish soap and other cleaning things handy - we needed to call a few times for things when we realized they weren't in the room. But the proximity to Old Scottsdale was really convenient so that was great. Another bummer was that they couldn't allow anyone into the pool area due to a new law that requires a handicap […] lift in that area. I understand why it's closed, but it would be nice if they could post a sign explaining that. I saw a number of guests staring into the pool area confused why their keys wouldn't work to let them in. Stayed for a business weekend at Scottsdale Airport (not the closest hotel, about 20-25 minute drive) and liked the idea of Old Scottsdale. The hotel was clean. Although they only had a smoking room available, it did not smell! Check in person offered me shampoo (I think that one reviewer said there was none). Fruit and muffins were offered as a mini […] breakfast. The room was pretty small, not really a suite but a room with a kitchenette. Anyhow, it was adequate. Free Wifi was nice. Flat screen TV was good. A reviewer complained about the airconditioner blowing on her face... It is right next to the bed but moving the arm chair in front of it go rid of the direct draft. I stay here every year while attending a conference at the Valley Ho 3 blocks away. This is about 1/3 the price and I like the privacy and having a frig. I do with they'd try harder to supply your room with coffee and tea.

The bed was poor quality, had a dip in the middle and squeaked every time you moved. The toilet had a ring around the water line that was disgusting and had bugs in it. The customer service was excellent. The ease of checking in and out was great!

Basic 2-story suites motel. Looks OK, but beds and pillows are lousy. Beds creaked badly and sagged to center. Towels were very cheap and hard w/sandpaper finish. Bath sink stopper didn't work. Shower was OK. Worst hotel I can recall, and I've been around awhile. No amenities (except laundry room). Bad coffee in room. I won't be back.

At first arrival the hotel was just OK but considering we weren't planning on being in the room much we didn't think much of it. That was until we had to take a cold shower our 1st night. We thought it was because of a lot of people checking in and hotel being booked. Shouldn't be an excuse but gave hotel benefit of the doubt. I called the front desk and was thrown off by how rude the front desk guy was basically telling me that it wasn't his problem and that I'd have to call hotels.com to deal with it.
