I like the room overall, but I prefer a flat screen television in the room. The a/c did not get cold. Had to leave the unit running when I left the room just to make sure it was cool when I returned.

The blinds on the office door need to be replaced pronto. This is an older hotel that looks more like a small apartment complex. It is in an industrial area, so not that close to attractions people would normally go to Florida for. However, if you're there on business or just need to stay someplace close to the the airport, it was ideal. The price was more than reasonable and when I called to tell them I'd be checking in late, the desk clerk had already taken care of most of my paperwork in advance, so I didn't have to stand and wait and there was no hassle. Keys are very sensitive and often needed to be re-actived which is a pain in the neck. Bed was wobbly. Also, there were cigarette holes in the comforter.

I booked this hotel for a business trip and it was one of the few places available because of a national convention that was in town. The location isn't bad at all (close to the airport) and it's in a pretty secure area. However, my room was just dirty. I don't mean "beds not made well" dirty, but "dust on every horizontal surface" dirty. The light […] switch covers and outlet covers had a thick line of dust on the top edges. The top of the refrigerator (which wasn't very tall) had a covering of dirty dust. It was just obvious that the housekeeping does a few things but never REALLY cleans. This was MONTHS of dust and dirt.... I am not real picky on hotels, but I just didn't like being in a room I knew was this dirty. This hotel shold be shut down or must e remodeled. There were so many holes on the inside of the cabinets in the bathroom and kitchen. The cover on the ironing board was nasty. Thank goodness the stay was for only one night.

The room was small and mostly bed. I felt uncomfortable with a teenager sitting in the stairway. Apparently, there are people living there cause some of them were hanging outside of their room. We wanted to have a romantic weekend away, but we will not use this place again.

will not stay here again. tub was black, bed was very uncomfortable felt like i was sleeping on a board, toilet had a burn stain on it, smelt like cigarettes when i walked in. i've stayed at the same hotel in miami doral and that one was like staying in a nice resort compared to this one. it was like staying in a slum. won't go here again.

Over all the hotel was fine. It needs to be updated. The Staff was helpfull. My first room smelled like cigaret smoke and should have been a non smoking room. The gentleman at the front desk found another room and let me see it before moving me. He was very kind. The hotel is in a good location for shopping and accessing the highway.

If you like a shabby, poorly maintained hotel with a surly staff, this is your place. Picked this hotel because it was very close to the airport and convenient to Steinbrenner Field....you get what you pay for I guess. My room was badly in need of updating, everything in it was old, worn and shabby. The refrigerator banged and clanked so badly I had […] to unplug it every night so I could sleep. When I checked in there were dead cockroaches on the counters and stove top. The drinking glasses were not cleaned. There was no shampoo. When I told the front desk staff about the cleanliness issues and the fridge I was told the room is cleaned once a week. The promised repairman never was seen and the fridge remained unplugged for my entire stay. The girl behind the desk wouldn't even look at me when talking to me, she was too busy on her computer to be bothered with customer service. Incredibly they charge additional for hi-speed internet. There are no amenities and the office staff works truncated hours from 8am to 10 pm. Buyer beware. I would never consider staying here again at any price. Read more

Our usual hotel near the Tampa airport was booked and this was recommended over the phone because of the location. We arrive in Tampa from the caribbean after midnight and want a good clean hotel near the terminal. I am not fussy but our room was awful. The bathroom cabinets were swollen plywood, the floor were sticky, the bedspread had cigarette burns […] on it and no wifi as advertized. In addition, the hotel was hard to find, but we had seen the comment about its peculiar location off the main road so guided the taxi. Had to wake up the management to get our room key. Day staff was nice. The taxi driver said that the neighborhood was not good and in fact we saw 2 police cars in the parking lot in what appeared to be a stake out. That made us extra nervous. The towels were very thin and had holes in them. I had to ask for toilet paper as there was very little on the roll in the bathroom. The sheets did not look as if they had been changed when I first came to the hotel room. The one blanket was stained and dirty.

Although the hotel is near the highway but it was not obvious and we spent almost 30 minutes trying to find the hotel at night even with the help of GPS and two calls to the hotel. Condition of hotel was not good and no toiletories provided. Bed was uncomfortable too.

This hotel is ok if you just need a place to stay for a day or two. It would be nice though if they put stupid things like a phone book, paper,pen, and a trash can in the room. You can't access the vending area late at night. I did walk around the area and had no issues with feeling safe.
