My room was very small.The bathroom light/fan sounded like it would take off. Because the doors of the room open directly to the outside which is unnerving. The bed had a huge lump in the middle and the outside noise was penetrating. I felt that I had survived something by morning. OK but not great.

Aftering going to our room, we noticed it smelled like something was dead in the room, badly. We asked for another room, and the second room wasn't as bad at first, the smell increased as the night went on. But I went out to a gas station and bought air fresheners to place around the room, which helped a little. Never again, never.

Awful. I arrived late, had to wait to check in (not even the problem) then the bed was so firm I could have mistaken it for a piece of ood ith blankets on it. After not sleeping for 2 hours, I went to check out & return room key. The 24 hour office was closed. Sounds odd, but 24 hour places should actually be open for all 24 hours, or it shouldn't be […] advertised as such. In any case, stay here if you are so exhausted that you can sleep anywhere, or desparately need to be close to your destination. An extremely nice hotel, less than 12 minutes away by car, and only $25 dollars more was found and I ot a much better welcome, service, and most of all, comfortable night's sleep. Read more

I asked to have the mildew removed from the shower grout and they quickly attempted to do so. Our blanket was so small it did not reach to the side of the bed. This property was not maintained very well. We had to move rooms because of the bed after the first night. In the second room the bathroom fan was very noisy with no way turn on the light without the noise.

This was the most disappointing experience I have had in my 5 years booking hotels through HotelsCom. The rooms smelled, were dirty, poor quality furniture, and the mattress had a piece of plywood under it to keep from sagging. Do not recommend this hotel.

For alot of money a night I expected better than mismatched furniture, threadbare sheets, no soap/shampoo and a room that smelled like mildew. Very difficult to find due to no signage and filled with daily laborers.

This hotel is very convenient to INOVA hospital; 3 blocks away. It is also 3 blocks away from restaurants. It is not a 5 star but you get what you pay for. Clean, safe.

I usually stay at Hampton Inn or Residence Inn,that was my point of comparison. This room is more like a studio. The kitchen is very small with two burner stove and little equipment. (two pans, one small sauce pan and one large skillet-not nonstick). Untensils in the kitchen were dirty. There was no s&p or even napkins.Also, the kitchen floor was dirty […] and our feet stuck it. The kitchen is hard to use to cook anything even a simple breakfast. The bathroom is right off the kitchen and the door did not always catch on it. There were no toiletries in the bathroom like you get at other hotel, but there was soap. When the water in the bathroom or kitchen were used the pipes would crackle and settle for a few minutes afteward, which kept us up at night when the room adjacent to us used its water. The closet is at the foot of the bed, it was missing one of its mirrored sliding doors and the other one was cracked at the bottom left. We were afraid fo loose glass coming out when our child went near there. We asked for an additional blanket but they did not have one nor was there one in the room, we were offered a coverlet instead. The room was generally clean with the exception of the kitchen and utensils. There is no desk in the room, so you have to work in the small bar area near the kitchen. For business or even email, this is not a viable solution. We probably would not stay there again. There is a Courtyard and Residence Inn nearby we would choose instead. Read more

The front desk person was a good guy and very polite. The room however was filthy. Sticky floor, moldy shower tiles, cigarette burned sink, stained walls (didn't want to get to close a look to see with what), and slow draining shower drain.

The Homestead is a great idea - full kitchen was helpful, room was nice and quiet so no thin wall syndrome. Coffee included and soap, but no shampoo so luckily I brought some. Good value!

Bathroom floor filthy and had not been cleaned in a long time. Carpet had not been vacuumed. Property is right next to a hospital so sirens blared all night. AC extremely noisy. This hotel DOESN'T HAVE HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE !!!! unless your stay be more than 5 days... and also you will be charged for the wi-fi internet. The carpet was really dirty. So disappointed. This is not about rates, but cleanless means HEALTH.

It was easy to find. Staff was really friendly. Room was clean the tables could do with a clean had some stick stuff on . Room was good we only needed it for one night . Over all was not a bad stay at all ! Close to the metro and the mall !
