"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Another Good Experience"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
My wife and I have stayed at the Courtyard in Mahwah three of the last four years to attend the NEAF astronomy show at the Rockland Community College in Suffern, just a few minutes away. We've always had good a experience and this stay was no different. The recent renovations definitely spruced the hotel up. The pool and spa area was nice, although the acoustics in the room left my ears ringing after a group of children in the pool were not using their "indoor voices." Our room was very clean, everything worked well, including the internet connection (which is a wired connection) and having a Dunkin Donuts right next door makes a stay here worthwhile in my humble opinion! Just grab a coffee and a bagel sandwich and go. The rates are competitive with other hotels in the area. If someone on here rates the hotel low, they must be comparing it to a five-star city hotel or maybe a destination resort. It's not that, but it is a clean and decent place to stay while traveling for business or short-term pleasure. I believe we will stay there again next year.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

East Rutherford’s main attraction is The Meadowlands, a 700-acre sports and entertainment complex comprised of a stadium, an arena, and a horse racetrack. This massive venue hosts big-name concerts, and it is home to the New Jersey Nets, the New York Jets, and the New York Giants. Pope John Paul II once celebrated Mass at Giants Stadium before a record-breaking crowd of 83,000 people.

We arrived about 6:30 PM, and can not say enough about the girl at the front desk. She was warm, and informative, willing to answer all questions. I liked her so much that I chatted with her awhile on my way back to my room. The date was 4/26/12, and I don't remember her name, but if you can look it up, she needs some type of recognition. The room had […] cigarette holes all over the bedspreads, cracks in the walls, and quetionable "cleanliness". The room...disappointing to say the least. Read more
"Just Okay"
Firstly, let me begin by saying the staff there was really nice, but I was disappointed in the condition of the room. It could have been cleaner and the beds softer. I am not too fond of the self service clean up, I don't think that I should have to pay extra for little clean up once I paid to stay at the hotel, so I asked them for a broom and took […] my own trash out, mind you I paid for 5 nights. Needless to say that I will not be staying or recommending this hotel to others. So if it's for 1 or 2 nights then stay but longer , even though we just slept there, and stayed in New York most of the day, I still would not stay there again. Read more
it was very convenient to where we needed to be but the hotel was not as clean as i would have expected for the amount I paid. Also it was missing basic necessities such as a garbage can and cups. Also both the shower and blankets had hair on them, not from us, which was more than a little disgusting. I would recommend it to stay for one night if you […] are going to an event at izod center or meadowlands other than that it is not worth it. Read more

"Decent"
After reading many of the reviews I was nervous about staying here. I have to admit it was not nearly as bad as some reviews had made it out to seem. Everyone at the service desk was friendly and the room was decent. It was clean and organized. While the bed was not too comfortable and the hotel ran out of pillows, our overall stay was nice.
Good location for football game.
"It was close to NYC"

"Nice room, horrible service and bad location."
The room itself was nice and convenient with the kitchen. Don't be fooled by how close you are to MetLife stadium. You can't walk the half mile to the stadium because the hotel is surrounded by freeway. Called for towels and they were never delivered. Ran out of toilet paper in the room and had to take some from the lobby restroom because nobody works […] there at night. Read more

"Good one"
Decent room, well maintained and clean. The hotel is close to main roads so prepare for some traffic noise. We stayed here for one night only and got exactly what we were looking for - good night rest for a reasonable price. The hotel is located 15-20 minutes from Jercey City downtown, near MetLife football arena. Do your homework and learn how to get […] to the hotel form a highway - even with a navigator we mistakenly took a wrong ramp in the dark and ended up on a 95 north in a blink of an eye. Read more

If you are late on the road for check in, there is no one there to help you. You might have to sleep at your car. Good luck.
hard as hell to find, no address is right or shows on gps... dishes were dirty, no coffee in room, had to go get it myself, wireless internet was a joke.. had to go get soap for dishes, sat. tv was a jhoke... when u could get the channel... and other rooms had at least 10 peeps in it yelling all night

"Not bad-served my purpose"
I was looking for a hotel close to the Izod Center-this hotel was very close and it was easy to get to the Izod Center. This room had a kitchenette and according to the website pots and pans and dishes/bowls were supposed to be available. There were 2 pot lids-no pots or pans, 1 plate, 0 bowls, random pieces of utensils....the room could have been cleaner-when […] I moved a chair there was a lot of dust and trash behind the chair. The closet doors were difficult to operate because they kept falling off the track. It was not a horrible place to stay it was acceptable. I would stay here again. Read more

"Fixer upper"
Its time to fix the carpet in the public areas that is warping and gathering. somebody is going to trip and break an arm. Why cant you print out a local map for your customers? Why can't you help a reservation that went through expedia?

"Bad Experience"
I am originally from florida and this was my first time traveling to NJ and I was really dissapointed with the service of your hotel. First of all the address of your Hotel on your website was wrong. My GPS showed a completely different address. So as i was lost, and trying to reach your customer service desk, no one answered the phone. I was circling […] NJ for hours! IT was very TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Once I finally found my way there through getting directions from near by gas station clerk and finally arriving at your hotel, the entire front hallway was FILLED with Smoke. As i am a non-smoker and this was not the most Pleasant entrance. I would not recommend your Hotel to anyone and would never stay again. You've made my entire trip to NJ a headache. Read more
"Short Stay"
it was ok... was only there 6 hrs... but needs some up keep... better cleaning staff. AV
very nice place to stay
"So...So"
The bed needed to be replaced, you could hear through the walls others guest on cells & personal things...Didn't sleep well due to worn out bed that if you just put your hand on it made a noise so imagine turning in your sleep which woke my husband every time I turned or me if he turned over. Could hear people in their rooms from the hall very well. […] No bag for dirty clothes was found. Read more
"If you like the smell of cigarettes and urine..."
The hotel itself smells like cigarettes and the room smells like old urine. The beds are comfortable, you get a few basic TV channels, the staff is adequate and isn't rude, but isn't friendly. The rooms carpeting is stained and the overall condition of the hotel is in dire need of renovations. If your sense of smell isn't all that great and you need […] a cheap place to stay that's just outside the city that has a large enough room with a stove and small refrigerator, then this place might work for you. I cannot understand why the hotel staff does not invest money into making the hotel smell better. For the money I paid, they can easily eliminate these odors. Read more

"Not worth even if free"
I stood here for one night upon entering the Hoyle was dirty smelled like smoke and I was in a non smoking room. Upon inspection of my bed I saw cigerette burns in the comforter and ants in the sheets. I asked for a room change the best they did was change my sheets it's a poor excuse of a hotel and should be closed down for the health hazards of bugs […] and it was just to most god forsaken place I have stood in and I've been in the military for 10 years. Would rather sleep outside in a sleeping bag would probably be cleaner. Read more
