I was not sure what to expect when booking this hotel. I made the reservation at the very last minute. This was a business trip so I didn't want to stay on the "strip", so I took a chance and booked this room. I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Very clean and landscaping neat looking. Upon entering my room I was again pleased with the apperance and comfort. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Vegas and doesn't want to stay at one of the big hotels.

Advantages: clean and comfortable rooms Disadvantages: need to ask the front desk for everything (shampoo, hair dryer...,) bad location far from the main attractions: it is fine if one has a car. If not it is not fine at all: there is no shuttle, the cabs are expensive and it was sometimes difficult to find a cab as they did not want to go in this area.

I only selected that I wouldn't recommend this hotel because that's the option I was given. I wouldn't dissuade others from going there, but in comparison to other area choices in the price range, it does not merit a 'recommendation.' This hotel does provide many conveniences that others do not (ie; microwave, full fridge, toaster, dishes) but lacks standard luxuries common to most others in its class (nice grounds, pool, large, nicely appointed lobby, views.) This hotel should not be considered by those seeking a Las Vegas Pleasure Vacation. Its surroundings do not have the Vegas 'feel' or sights. It is across the street from a hospital, not a glittering casino and the people you'll see are those going to and from work, not reveling conventioneers. The Homestead is more suited for extended work-related travel or as accommodations between permanent residency, but in those cases it can be a little pricey especially considering the values that can be found now being offered to tourists.

This hotel is a great deal. We stayed only one night though it is setup for extended stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. I recommend this hotel strongly to anyone not looking for bells & whistles.

I booked earlier in the day about 2pm, and when I got there just before 11pm, they didn't have records that I was checking in. After looking up in the system, they found my reservation, but said it was not prepaid, and that I had booked through another travel site, which I didn't. I went ahead and checked in because i knew if I had a problem I could always take it up with my bank. (It turned out to be ok). Bed was not comfy, but hotel was close to the convention center (we were there for a trade show), and the full size kitchen was a plus. Not having to lug a bunch of luggage thru a huge casino was nice too, just a few steps to the car. But, if you need anything after 11pm, good luck. Front desk is not 24 hrs. You only get housekeeping if you stay for more than 7 days, or you have to pay $10 for service. good thing were slobs anyway, so not having the room cleaned every day felt like home. If you need new towels or more tp you have to get it yourself at the front desk, again, if after 11pm good luck. I probably won't stay again, but while we were there is was ok. I knew going in it was only two stars, so can't complain too much!

When I was booking this hotel I was sceptical due to Ive stayed at many low start hotels before and they were bad. So I took a chance and booked it. When I go to the hotel the front desl was very polite and started to converse in little talk. Everything was good the only thing is that there is only two elevetors in thehotel located by the front desk so if yotr room is towards the fron of the street (like ours) you had to do a little walk, since the frint desk is towqards the back of the facility. But other than that it is a good hotel.

don't expect this chain of hotels to have better beds and they don't. beds are adequate. this hotel might have been undergoing renovation and there were possible upgrade items that might have been removed (hair dryers or additional mirrors (?)). Very nice landscaping and grounds kept nicely.

We are Disney Annual Pass Holders and are frequent hotel patrons in the general Disney area. I was very disappointed with this hotels 3 star rating and will never stay here again. What is really sad is most reviews are positive and I am really not that picky about hotels in general. So now on to the why? I wish I could say that price was the only reason. I did over pay for the hotel. We normally buy using the "name our own" type pricing and avoid the Hwy 192 (Westgate) area because it is so touristy and over priced. This hotel is a prime example of why. You can usually get something of MUCH better quality for about $20 less than what we paid a night. It is a 2 story "hotel" (I use that term loosely as motel fits better) with no elevators and no interior hallways. The area is very tourist trap with "WE BUY/SELL TICKETS" signs everywhere (even the McDonald's doesn't have a value menu to cash in unwary travelers?). When we arrived and checked in I was given a second story room without any mention of the no elevator situation. After unloading a newborn, a 2 year old, a wife on crutches, 2 suitcases and a stroller trudging all around looking for one I find myself at the front desk asking for a 1st floor room only to be told "sorry we're full." 6 trips up the stairs later we get to our room. The room was a standard 1-1/2 to maybe 2 star room. With uncomfortable, but as expected, beds. In all a very basic but normal hotel room set up. My wife complained of a feeling of un-cleanliness, but there is nothing there to justify it, perhaps it just needs updating and new bedspreads. There were some unexpected bonuses that made things a little nicer. A power strip was under the dresser, and the TV had RCA plugs so we could hook up our portable DVD player for movies. There is also a Pizza Hut in the hotel that you can have delivered (for a hefty charge) or pick up your self. This is nice after a long day. In summation we've done these hotels a lot so you ca
