My husband, sister and I stayed here while visiting my Grandparents for Thanksgiving. All we were looking for was a place to crash each night to relieve an over crowded sleeping room issue. The room was clean and comfortable for our needs. There was a full size (on the small side) refrigerator and a cute kitchen area with small range. This hotel is definitely geared toward longer stays when you need all the conveniences of home and no frills of a fancy hotel. The one complaint we had was we found a bottle of V-8 juice in the refrigerator from the previous occupant and there was a burn in the carpet from where somebody had left the hot iron on the floor. Overall if you’re on a budget and want a nice room to stay in this is it, but if you want a upscale experience this isn’t the place for you.

We stayed there during part of the Balloon Fiesta. The hotel was very convenient to the festival Park-and-Ride at Coronado Mall (as well as to other locations in Albuquerque). It was nice to have the refrigerator and microwave. There was a stove top that we didn't use.(A Whole Foods grocery store is less than a mile south on Carlisle.) Overall, the hotel offered a basic, reasonably clean room for a good price. Note: The location given by Google Maps is wrong; use the directions given by the Hotel's website.

I read all the reviews and struggled with a decision. So, I will state the good and bad. The location is good. The level of cleanliness is not good. The exterior of the hotel is better than the rooms. But, the most important thing..the beds. They are absolutely the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced. You can feel the springs in the mattress. I thought that the beds in my room may be the only ones that were bad. So, I requested another room. But, found that it was just as bad. If you are a person who can sleep anywhere, this hotel might work for you. But, if you have a bad back, you will be miserable. The rate is excellent and I suppose you get what you pay for. I just want everyone to be warned about the beds. The rest was tolerable. And don't plan to cook real meals here. There was one pot and one skillet.

The room we stayed in had a king size bed, the bed was okay to sleep on. The room was small and very little space. So if you have kids this would not be a good place to stay. The room seemed a little run down. There needs to be more cleaning done to the rooms. Overall, this was just a place to sleep. I would not recommendthis for families with kids.

The Suburban Extended Stay was a good hotel, I would not rate it a 5 star but for the price it was great. I love the fact that it had a large fridge and a stove. It is near Carlise so it is near by lots of shopping places. The only inconvenience was that I could hear the plumbing from the room next door or behind us, such as the water running from the toilet being flushed or someone taking a shower. Rather than that the hotel is very quiet and nice looking. Also, many state police stay there so you feel very safe.

Other than the facts that the mattress was very old and probably should have been replaced, and the fact that the front desk clerk couldn't help with a request for an extra pillow (he said he didn't have access to the maid's closet, so he couldn't give me more pillows -- even though I requested this at 5 p.m. -- not really the middle of the night!), the hotel was better than I expected for the price I paid. If I had a similarly small budget and had to stay in Albuquerque for only one night again, I'd probably stay here. However, if I was looking for a more than bearably comfortable bed and decent service, I'll probably spend the extra $20-30 for a better hotel.

The hotel room was great, I didn't have problems with that. I didn't know the lobby closed at 11 p.m. and that wasn't posted anywhere on the site, or at least I did not see it anywhere obviously placed. It was a good thing my cousin stood by the door until the security guard finally opened it for us to give us the cards to our room. If I would have known that, than I would have made sure I was there before that time to get ourselves situated. Overall, the hotel was fine. The beds were so-so; I was able to sleep nicely on them.

I really just was looking for a safe, dog friendly hotel to sleep in on a road trip. At the bargain price through Hotels.com, I didn't expect much. What I found was a great surprise. From the cheerful front desk clerk, to the spacious room with kitchenette, and comfortable bed, to the quiet location, although near the highway, everything here was great! I had a return trip a week later and stayed again. The upstairs room wasn't quite as convenient, but the staff was equally friendly and the room was just as nice. My only concern was the very dark carpeting seemed less clean than I would have liked, but there were no smells or anything else unpleasant. I felt safe and slept well.
