Got a great price for a great place to sleep. Asked for a double smoking and got one bed and a pull out but it could have been worse.

We called to reserve the room through Hotels.com. When we got to the hotel the lobby was closed. Per a posted sign, we were to call 0 on the phone outside. No answer. After several minutes, we had to call Hotels.com back just so they could contact the front desk. After another 20 mins, the front desk employee appeared and checked us in. Smelled stongly like cigar smoke even though it was a non smoking room. There was a very mysterous dark stain on the mattress. Slept in our clothes and got out of there as soon as the sun rose. I chose to stay here because of the "fully equipped kitchen". However, having to cook several meals during a 5-day stay with 1 pot, 1 fork, 1 bowl, and a few cups and plates because they couldn't find anything else in the hotel is not convenient. It was also unpleasant to find a dirty fridge. I also had issues with my lock "becoming" loose for no apparent […] reason, noisy guests fighting until 2 am every night, and dirty public areas (keep an eye on the broken glass everywhere and dirty lobby!). No bedbugs was a plus! The tenant before me left cigarettes and a lighter in my non~smoking room. My room was not ready at 3pm. No room service so you have to clean the room yourself, but free wi~fi. Overall it was a fair experience.

First room had no drinking glasses and the phone was broken. Neighbors next to us were in a non smoking room but were smoking anyway. We don't smoke. The stench was so over wheming, we had to move. Spoke with front desk clerk who set us up in a room that was good. Thanks to him, we stayed in the hotel, otherwise we would have left.

This was a very disappointing experience. When we arrived our room was not stocked with towels, which took quite awhile to get, and we never did get any washcloths. When we inquired, we were told that's all they had. The furniture had rips in the upolstery, the cabinets were in disrepair, and the floor was quite dirty. Room rate was good. Room was clean but old. Heater was so loud that I could not hear my alarm clock. I never received the wake up call that I had requested and as a result I was late for an interview. The walls were thin and I could hear the neighbors TV until the wee hours of the morning.

When we arrived we were told that they were over booked and we would have to take the room for persons in a wheel chair. Not a major issue but others arrived after us that received better rooms. The air conditioner was not working when we entered the room, went to call the front desk and the phone was not plugged in, had to find the cable to plug in and it would not connect properly, then the light would not come on as it was not plugged in due to the bed was too close to the electrical outlet. The lady at the front desk came to fix the AC […] and did get it to work which was a joke, the bed was literally 2 inches from the bed, so when it came on it would freeze you out, it would shut off and you would have to toss the covers off and then by the time it would come back on you would be sweating, needless to say I caught a cold from the night at the Homestead! The accommodations were clean and satisfactory. Whatever was missing or needed was cheerfully supplied by the staff. I did feel a little insecure traveling as a single woman with the room I was given on the exterior side of the facility. While not a 5 star hotel, it was clean and comfortable and budget friendly.

I checked out of this hotel 2 days ago, and still feel dirty. There are so many things wrong with this place, I don’t know where to start! First off, if you aren’t there for a week, maid service is not included. If you want a clean towel, you need to bring your dirty towel to the front desk, the same with sheets and extra toilet paper. A scary aspect […] of this place is that there are a lot of homeless looking people who seem to live here for long periods of time, scary people sitting outside their doors smoking all night long, weird noises, its like a flop house. My favorite event of this stay was when we turned the shower on, the tub filled up with tons of hair that was jammed in the drain. My overall feeling was this was a good place to go if you were hiding from the police and needed to change your identity and lay low. There is no gym/work out room, the website says the gym may be at another location which is fine, but the front desk said “ maybe you can go to another homestead hotel in the area and show them your key and maybe you can use theirs if they have one”. Nice… really nice. Saving a few bucks is great, but its not worth it to staying in a third world hotel with weird people walking around outside your door. No maid service. This is meant to be a long-term stay hotel. Does not have daily maid service. Nice conveniences such as cooking surface, sink and dishes. Make sure you confirm your reservation & room preference BEFORE you arrive. They put me in a smoking room, and since I had a late arrival, the office closed right after I left the lobby so I couldn't complain until the next morning. The next morning they tried to tell me that WAS a non-smoking room. We were put into a non-smoking room that someone clearly had smoked in. It smelled awful. We were given another room - good - but we had to haul our suitcases downstairs and then up to the other side. It took almost 30 minutes to finally get checked in. After that things were fine.

Our a/c control to adjust the temperature, fan, etc. didn't work. So, at night when we got too cold, I just unplugged it and in the mornings when it began to warm up, I plugged the unit in again. This lasted for 3 nights. I didn't want the hassle of trying to change rooms.

We were quite disappointed with this hotel. Upon arrival we found no remote to the TV, after 3 attempts by hotel staff nothing was ever provided. This may seem minor, but after a long day of events and recreational activities, its great to be able to change the channel or adjust the volume without getting out of bed! The bed itself, was rock hard, seemed […] like there were 2 boxsprings stacked upon eachother. Nothing was said to the staff in light of the previous problem. On our first morning, we discovered that the coffee pot had never been cleaned as there were still coffee grounds left if the holder. As if this wasn't enough, the linens were horrid. They had numerous stains and were literally so rough it felt like you were drying/washing your body with sand paper. I guess it was great for exfoliation. The lock on the laundry room door was broken, which made me feel very uneasy doing laundry and wondering if my clothes would remain there until I returned as there were numerous unsavory appearing individuals lurking about the property. This, all in its totality, made this 5 day stay very disappointing. The Property we stayed in prior to this visit was just around the corner and had few if any intolerable problems, we actually thought we were staying at this property when we booked, we shall be much more diligent in ascertaining what property we stay in next visit. Hotel room was spotless, but a little cramped. Large chair & ottoman prevented accessing the bed from one side. Good thing it was only me or the room would have been too small. Opt for a larger room if you're staying with someone, otherwise it was a great stay, and I'll be going back.
