"Could be better"
The room was nicely renovated and we had what we needed. It rained while we were there and so we were stuck inside and out of the few channels that worked 3/4 of them were news or sports which did not work for us. The hotel is very convenient to all kinds of eateries and some shopping. I was very pleased with the customer service I received from the staff. When I checked in the hotel rep Edward personally checked to make sure my room was ready and then when I called the front desk to say I had forgotten my hair dryer he brought one to my room within 5 minuted. Hotel made a mistake and gave the same room to a different group. We were sleeping at night and someone opened the door at 1am. We had the latch locked, thank goodness. Freaked me and my family, and we could not sleep well at all that night. Also, the window lock was broken in that room so we felt more unsafe. Asked for a different room the next morning. I had a less than satisfactory experience at your esrablishment on this stay. There was a bug on my pillow when I came into the room. I only saw one and I was too tired to address it so I just went to sleep. Next morning(June 8), I saw another one on the floor and I informed the clerk(name begin with Al) at the front desk. The clerk just stared back […] at me without any response. I stared back waiting for some kind of response and she just kept on staring. I just told her never mind and started to leave. She then went into the back room and spoke with someone and came out and offered me a discount for next time. By this time, I was not interested in what she had to say so I left. I understand that things are not always perfect. But it would be a better experience if your staff was more attentive and empathetic to guests' reasonable dissatisfaction. This hotel is very convenient to everything i want. I love the way its secluded but yet close to everything including restaurants, theater and shopping. I usually see Brock or Pam when im checking in or out as i stay there frequently and they are always kind and professional. I really like the newly renovated rooms too. I booked a no-smoking room. It may have been no-smoking while I was there, but definitely hadn't been that way for long. The room wreaked of tobacco. I bought a air freshener candle and kept it burning. I searched for a hotel that offered "free breakfast'\", maybe I didn't read the review carefully enough. "Choose another Extended Stay location in the area."

I will definitely stay at a different Extended Stay America the next time I'm in the area. This location is less of a hotel and more like a poorly run apartment complex. It's 3 buildings all with outside entrances to each room. Half the rooms are on the second floor and there is NO ELEVATORS! Good luck with the TV and Internet speed. The internet is slow when you can even connect. The TV channels were very fuzzy and hard to see. I called front desk 3 times during my month long stay to mention that only half the channels were coming in clear and they did absolutely nothing about it! The room I was in felt dingy. Like I said, It felt more like an apartment community. There were unattended kids playing in the parking lot all hours of the day throwing balls around cars. I even caught 2 of them snooping in the back of my truck! The trail of sketchy people driving in and out of the property is disturbing. There seems to be an over abundance of barking dogs in the rooms all morning long! There were loud folks drinking beer using the picnic tables and grill/common area until 1am 4 nights a week. I was not impressed with this particular location but overall I stick with the Extended Stay brand. I just won't come back to this one.
I was over charged. Clerk didn't show any concerns at all. Shower was broken but they did have maintenance fix it after a cool shower. Location was fine. Staff wasn't friendly. I will neverstay at this lolocation again....
"Newly Renovated, Outstanding Bargain"

This hotel is one of the best bargains I've found in the DC area. Newly renovated room was pristine. Front desk manager Brock, and assistant Nuria were extremely helpful in resolving a minor billing problem with the corporate office.

I had a horrible experience once again. They over charged me the first time, the noise level in the rooms beside me were highly ridicoulous at various times of the night. I then complained to the manager and he made me feel better. I went to give them another chance this weekend, and It was even worse then the first time. I had to constantly clean the room, get my own towels and there was no breakfast between 6 and 9 am. The maid not once came and cleaned my room for me. I didn't get what i put on reserve, and they werent that friendly. My refridgerater kept leaking , i had to throw all of my food out because it went bad. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Brock and stephany are really helpful and cheery. The hotel rooms have been rerenovated and they are very nice and cozy.There is a to go breakfast bar which is new.Plus there is wifi which is also nice
"Quiet except for the space travelers"

No complaints overall. Got the room through Orbitz, so it was cheaper than the local Motel 6. The room was very clean and the hotel is located on an industrial park, so Saturday night was completely quiet. There's something going on with the pipes on the upper floor of building 200 though... sounds like they're filming a battle scene in a scifi movie or using a teleportation device. Anyway, that's what I was thinking as I drifted off to sleep. Not so bad, but if you're the type that can't sleep due to a dripping faucet then this simply won't work for you. Also, don't be a fool like me and forget your body soap at home. Nice that they offer some, but they should market it to acne prone teens. Glad I managed to remember my moisturizer.

I stayed for about 5 weeks.I enjoyed everyone at the front desk they went above and beyond to meet my needs.overall the staff should be well rewarded for their outstanding service.I would like to thank Amena and Donna and Stephanie for everything they do.They all made my stay excellent.I was skeptical at first about staying here but after meeting those friendly ladies they are the reason why i continued my stay there. Stephanie is the general manager and she knows how to run a hotel i commend her.My only complaint is the grab and go breakfast is a joke.If you all are going to offer a grab and go option you may want to consider a juice option as well everyone doesnt drink hot beverages.I probably will never stay at another extended stay america but if im in the DMV area i will stay there again because of the staff.
"An Enjoyable Three and Half Months Stay"

I started my stay when it was a Homestead Suites and it was converted to an Extended Stay America. My family and I are relocating to the Germantown area and I came several months in advance to my family. I experienced no issues during my multi month stay. I read the recent reviews and did not experience any of problems stated. In fact, I didn't see one insect at any time in my room. All front desk personnel were polite and provided the necessary services when asked. Like any place else some people are easier to deal with than others, but no one was ever really rude. I have to think real hard to come up with any real complaint. Since no place is perfect my complaint would be I wish they had more channels to choose from. However, they do have two Showtime channels. Sci-fi, TCM, etc. would be a great improvement. I'm just not an ESPN person. However, I did enjoy some of the old time reruns on the ESPN Classic. Since I knew I would be staying multiple months, I brought a DVD player and I used it to hook up to Netflix through the free Wi-Fi. I got all the movies I needed to keep me occupied. The Wi-Fi was upgrade to be faster during my stay. Compared to the price of other hotels in this area this place is a great deal for what you get. The personnel I enjoyed working with during my stay were Amena, Stephanie and Brock.,

My friends and I stayed there as it was near the Ragnar Relay course. The front desk staff were so incredibly rude that I will never stay at another "Extended Stay America" hotel again. I called two days prior to put the reservation in a friend's name as she would be arriving first. The woman I spoke with assured me that the room had been transferred to my friend. I asked if she should still mention my name at check-in and the woman screamed "IT'S NO LONGER YOUR ROOM"!!! Sure enough, my friends arrived and were unable to check in because it was STILL under my name! The incompetence of the staff was astounding.

This was the worst hotel I have experienced in at least 25 years. The accommodations were dirty, and the condition of the furniture and counter spaces were quite bad with chunks of one counter missing. Finally, the room was infested with roaches, and when I reported it, nothing was done.
