Brandon is a residential suburb that lies east of downtown. Nearby, blue-ribbon agriculture is on display annually at the Florida State Fairgrounds. The hotel is fair at best. Non-smoking room smelled like heavy cigarate smoke. The mattress was dirty and was hard as a rock, we had to buy new sheets! Would not recommend this hotel.

Went here to search for apartments and came to find a dead bug in the room along with cigar holes in the bed. Not very impressed for a room that cost $80 per night. Hotel staff where friendly but the room just wasn't very impressive. The comforter looked like something from the 1970s and the TV only got like 10 channels! We stayed a night here while on vacation. The room was pretty clean except the bathroom and kitchen floors were a bit sticky. They had two tiny plastic cups and 2 mugs available and not much else. I was hoping for an ice machine, a set of extra paper cups, some shampoo would have been nice too. It was very, very minimal. If you are looking for a place […] that's cheap and you don't mind a super small, plain room, then this is fine. The beds were actually very comfortable, but the pillows were flat and there were no extra ones in the room. Don't even waste your time with watching the cable, it was awful. The receptionist was very nice and friedly. My hotel door looked like it were previously kicked in. The bathtub had mold and mildew, beds had stains and the room had an odor. Not happy with this one at all.

Stayed for two nights. I have stayed here in the past many times. The kitchenette is nice and you can fix just about anything if you are creative. The wifi service works well and they have a deal for free workout with LA Fitness (although it is about 5 miles away).

The room was completely horrible! It was not clean in the least, I will say one word...bugs. Desk attendants were very nice, the manager and a cleaning staff member were extremely rude. So the quality of service was low. Location was in a very bad area, however it was close to shopping

I stayed here one night for New Years Eve. I live an hour away and did not want to be on the road after spending time with with a friend for her birthday. I did care that the bed was hard and old. I did not care that the furniture was well worn. I liked having a little kitchen so that I could put the birthday cake in the refrigerator. I did care that […] when I went to bed, I was not alone. I was bitten repeatedly and had to leave. The fleas or bed bugs came with me. It was a nightmare to get them out of my car, my hair, and my clothing. I needed an inexpensive hotel that wasn't too far from the airport, and I only needed a place to sleep. Check in and check out were both very quick, and I slept quite well.

I truly enjoyed my stay. I felt like I was at home. Very comfortable and cozy!! I will certainly be going back again and will look for a Homestad in every city and state that I travel to!!

It is hard to know what kind of room you get when you register online, but I must say this hotel was one of the best places I have ever stayed at. I would put it up against any of the major chain hotels.

Lot's of restaurants and shopping nearby. Shows some age but is well maintained. Despite being a "Queen Suite" the room is quite small though it does have a full kitchen. If you're on the go all day and just sleeping there, it's fine. If you like to hang out in your hotel room all day, you should pass. I like a firm bed, but this one was on the hard […] side.
