First let me just say that my ratings are low primarily because it was not what I was expecting and its not a room I would rent again. I rented it because I prefer rooms with kitchens etc. and more room. However, this was an extremely small room. It was about 1/2 the size of what I was expecting and definately smaller than the floorplan I saw on the […] webpage when booking. Small chair in the corner next to the bed barely fit in the room due to the small size of the room. Low marks for cleanliness due to mold and stains in toilet and shower but other than that the room was very clean and bug free. And frankly the mold did not bother me but I know it will bother some. When I got there, no hangers, no shampoo, and no hair dryer in the room. Staff was very friendly and prompt in getting me what I needed. My "non-smoking" room had an ashtray, smelled like cigarette smoke, and had ashes on the bathroom floor. The bed sheets looked clean, but were not pressed. The shower (no bathtub) consisted of a curtained-off section of the bathroom, with a drain in the floor and hand-held shower unit mounted to the wall. It needed recaulking, and there were hairs stuck […] to the wall. When I was getting ready to leave, I checked an unused dresser drawer and found a cotton swab encrusted with earwax. The fact that someone chose to use a dresser drawer instead of a waste basket might indicate the type of clientele; someone came to my door asking for someone I didn't know. I have stayed here 2 times in the past. The room that I was given this time was 168. Room was very clean and the bathroom looked newly renovated. The room was great, but I had trouble with the front desk again. I had forgotten to make a reservation and upon arriving, asked if there were any rooms available. The front desk clerk said that there were […] no rooms available. I went back to my car and began browsing on Hotels.com to search for another hotel. Low and behold, Hotels.com showed rooms available at this hotel! I made a reservation from the hotel's parking lot. Waited 10 minutes, then went in and told the clerk that I had a reservation. She didn't say a word about not having any rooms just a few minutes before. Just gave me a room. I have sent a message to their corporate office complaining about this service and have not received an answer It has been a week. Very unresponsive. Be sure you make a reservation at this hotel because the desk clerk won't give you one if it's available. Read more

Overall, my stay met my expectations for the price range. Pro's: Price, Wi-F, coffee maker, refrigerator. Con's: Front desk takes a very long time to complete any transaction. Room was filthy--especially the bathroom--you do not want to know what was in the shower. The rooms are old and in dire need of help. The comment from the on-duty staff when we complained about the room was that they were sorry and the room were being renovated.Not the correct response.

The room setup is cute, location is convenient, and price is good, but all of this was overshadowed by one of the worst smelling rooms I've had. I liked the cleanliness of the room, it was perfect with all the equipment, stove, fridge, and microwave. The only think i did not like were the mattress, everytime i would move it had a loud squeeking noise, i think they need to be replaced, everything else was great.

I saved half on my lodging by choosing this hotel and it exceeded my expectations. There are family restaurants just blocks away and there is easy access to highway 281, a major route running north/south through the San Antonio area with 20 minutes to downtown. The room was clean and in good condition. I'll stay here again.

The place was a cheap place to stay and it reflected a bit in the quality of the room. Room was outdated and felt old, but it got the job done for the three days I was there. Side note: don't drink the coffee--shutter.

The rooms furnishings are so old they were falling apart. The toilet in 269 gave you a shower when you flushed and the tub floor was black, the rest of the tub was off white. We had few choices during spring break week on a last minute deal (checked in 10 minutes after making reservation!). Homestead rate was the best part of this stay. Wouldn't pay any more for this particular hotel, but it was a great value. Note: This is an extended day hotel that does not offer daily room maintenance. I ended up at the Pear Tree at the last moment. I was very worn out when I made it to the Pear Tree, the employee at the front desk was very helpful, went the extra mile when I asked for a plate and plastic ware to microwave my food. Room was nice, air was cold. There was a small microwave and frig in the room. Would stay there again.

Although this hotel labels itself as an airport hotel, it is a 10-minute car ride from the airport, and provides no shuttle service whatsoever. A cab ride costs just under $20 each direction. Once you factor in the price of the cab, you might as well just pay extra to book a nicer, more conveniently located hotel.
