    - Hotel Year Built - 1957 Year Remodeled - 2005 Additional Property Description - Stanlunds is situated in the heart of the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. It was built in the 50s and was remodeled in 2005. A very quiet and peaceful place. Good for people looking for peace and tranquility/ but you can still be connected to the world with our wireless internet available in all rooms. All of our rooms are equipped with a microwave/ a fridge/ and a coffeemaker. Some rooms have private patios/ kitchens -some with ovens- and BBQs. This gives you all that is required for sitting back/ relaxing/ and enjoying the warm weather with the beautiful views of the mountains. Free Continental breakfast on weekends during season. On special occasions we reserve the right to implement a two night minimum stay.

    Stanlunds Resort Inn and Suites is, essentially, a budget motel. It does have a swimming pool but does not provide breakfast, our 'suite' was spacious... but the shower room and toilet were cramped. There was a kitchenette facility which could have proved handy. The'suite' was clean and comfortable but no more so than that provided by budget motel chains such as Motel 6. However, Stanlunds is located at Borrego Springs in the middle of the Anza-Borrego desert and is conveniently placed to experience the climate and the natural environment and to put the achievements of the first settlers into an historic perspective. by Brian D C  from England on 09/25/11

    The room itself was a nice design with a kitchenette and plenty of room. The sheets and towels were clean but otherwise the room was not as clean as I'd expect. The towels were scratchy. The pillows were flat. After a certain hour all of the outside lights are turned off, which is energy-efficient and nice but also made it impossible to find the entrance […] when we returned form a late-night excursion. I think with a little improvement this could be a very nice motel. But it was also overpriced for what we got. Read more

    Very friendly staff. Room was clean but just average. The large sign was the first thing we saw and it looked like it needed some paint and repair or replacement. Pool could have been a little cleaner.

    This motel cries out for updating. The toilet broke and wasn't fixed until the next day, the bed was hard, the blanket had a hole in it, and the rug has seen better days. A positive note - the pool was warm and clean.

    We checked into the Stanlunds Resort Inn & Suites. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and pointed us to a couple good nearby restaurants. The room was very complete with a stove, a nice sized refrigerator, sink, dishes, silverware, dish rack and so on. Great if you need to cook or work on snacks! The airconditioner kept the room nice and the […] bed was firm (I can't sleep on a soft bed). A friendly family atmosphere and plenty of activity at the pool. The real shock, real grass in front of all the rooms and around the decking for the pool. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to a little more time to enjoy the desert next time. Read more

    This is a 1950's remodel and is very nice for the money. Although we didn't use it, the pool looked inviting. It is convenient to all in Borrego. However, don't expect anything upscale, just pleasant and old fashioned. Except the beds which were extremely comfortable.

    It was a good experience. The hotel was cute and the staff was friendly. The only thing I could complain about was the poor ventilation in the bathroom. It was inadequate to remove the moisture after showering which caused the paint in the shower to peel. Minor thing though.
