This was booked for me but when I arrived I realised I'd driven past it numerous times. Just a heads up. The numbering changes on Northbourne Avenue every time the suburb changes so this is near the shopping end. The apartment is spacious and very well appointed. Overall a very good stay. It was disappointing that the pool was out of service. Also, the balcony from our room was very dirty with bird droppings. Luckily we were not in enough to need to use the balcony as i would not have used it due to the bird droppings. I would recommend regular cleaning.

The apartment was designed very badly. The bedroom door could not open properly and a bedside table jutting into the door space made it nearly impossible to get through the door without either catching your arm on the door handle or leg on the bedside table. The basics are still good but lack of upkeep is letting James Court down. The air conditioning units were not working properly, the bathroom needed a good clean, the TVs were not properly tuned (no channel 7 or 9 and it was during the Olympics!), there was a hole in one of the bedroom doors and one of the bedside lamps had been smashed. The hotel was well located for the reason for our trip. Extra special little breakfast packages, wine, beer, snacks & washing powder for the laundry were available in the room for purchase as desired. The room was serviced every day. Overall it was a good choice for us and a pleasant stay.

The room was very well set up, Huge floor plan and excellent kitchen. but the beds were hard, so were the pillows!! and as for the intense parties that were not controlled within the building... Basically meant that a restful nights sleep was out of the question. Such a bummer as this was a splurge to stay here for a little weekend get away.

stayed in room 707 from 19/04/2012 to 23/04/2012. The carpets were stained and filthy, has not been shampooed for a few years at least. The master bed was extremely squeaky and made it difficult to sleep. Noise from the road could still be heard in our room, though all the windows were shut. Second stay at this hotel. Pros - Great location, close to everything and walking distance to shopping, food and pubs. Hotel is clean, spacious and staff friendly. Con - Very noisy location on a major intersection. Rooms could do with double glazing to reduce road noise and sirens.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It is centrally located and in walking distance to Canberra Central and bus stops as well as the convenience of a hire car company on the ground level.. The balcony was a great viewing platform for early morning hot air balloon flights. We stayed in a 2 bedroom appartment. We were pleased with most features of the appartment except for the size of the second bedrrom. It was so small we did not even have enough room to bring in the suitcase to unpack. Suitcase was left in the lounge room the entire stay with clothes and lived out of the case. The double bed- which was 2 single beds […] pushed together- took up virtually the entire room with very little space left. We used ther bathroom to get changed as there was no room in the bedrrom. Other bedrrom was a good comfortable size. Nice kitchen and living areas and fantastic position within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Shower in main bathroom was poor as there was so little water coming out that it was impossible to wash your hair properly. Shower in ensuite was better but it was contained in a spa bath that was difficult to get into. Read more

We stayed here as we were attending a friend's wedding and it was in the middle of all facilities. We requested an earlier check-in and they obliged and this helped us to use the facilities before attending the wedding. Staff overall were very accomodating to our needs.

Hotel was extremely noisy,positioned over McDonalds drive through. Rooms were not cleaned, only bed made. Staff said they only had 3 minutes to clean each room. Asked for a walk in shower for disabled parent, they said they had no rooms with a walk in shower in the hotel. Put a chair in the spa bath which was not a 'disabled' option! Found out later […] they had two bedroom apartments that had walk in showers - we would have been happy to swap two apartments for a two bedroom apartment. I booked 2 double bedroom apartments for 3 nights to attend a family function. The apartments were spacious and comfortable. Each bedroom has a bathroom, one with spa bath (shower over), the other with shower cubicle. There is laundry facilities on one bathroom. The second bedroom has 2 single beds pushed together and the room was small, dark and extremely […] cramped. The main bedroom had large windows was spacious and had a second TV. There is plenty of storage space in both rooms. The main bedroom had a heater as does the living area. We all agreed the heat was 'drying' especially when sleeping but necessary. The nights were freezing (0 to -3) in September. The kitchen had a full size fridge, cooktop, oven, microwave, toaster and kettle along with plenty of cupboard space, crockery, cutlery and glassware. What was missing was something to cook with. One medium saucepan with a lid for a much larger saucepan and a medium size frypan. That was all. There is secure parking under the building costing $12/day (Sept. 11). You need your key to access the carpark and the lifts. There are 3 lifts and wait time was reasonable. The hotel has a McDonalds at street level under one wing. This was extremely noisy at times. The worst being late Sat. when dragging chairs 'in' and early Sun. when dragging them 'out'. This was apart from the usual noise expected with a fast food outlet. The hotel is well located near attractions, shopping facilities, restaurants and food outlets. Read more

Room was spacious with a great pool and spa. There was a massive inhouse spa which was great! Close to shops, hotels and restaurants. Room was clean and staff were nice. Only problem was that parking was not included in the fee.

Clean, light, fresh and well appointed. Parking rate reasonable and easy to access. Very central to the City centre; walking distance to Gareema place, Casino, parks, public transport and conference locations. Light sleepers might require ear plugs on the Northbourne avenue side as there is no double glazing for sound mitigation.
